Helping with Adventurer Party Management - Chapter 36
Dear Readers,
Due to a temporary website issue, starting around April 3, all novels started before January 2025 will be temporarily moved to the drafts folder for approximately 3–4 weeks. Unfortunately, this novel is included in that list.
In the meantime, I will be uploading the latest advance chapters to my Ko-fi account for my supporters. Regular updates will resume as soon as the site allows.
Thank you for your patience and support!
After several tense seconds of silence, Jilboa spoke. “…Kenji’s proposal is incredibly compelling. But can we pull it off?”
“It won’t be easy. But as long as you, Captain, don’t give up, we can definitely do it. I guarantee it.”
Even a man like Jilboa is afraid of change? Or is he dazzled by a new vision, hesitating to move forward?
I can understand the loneliness of being a leader. As the head of the Sword Fangs Legion, there are probably many constraints that I can’t even imagine. Still, I want the Sword Fangs Legion to lead the adventurers as the top clan. The members of the Corps who were worried about the current situation probably felt the same way.
“I support Kenji’s proposed vision,” Swiberry said. “I’m not educated, so honestly, I might not understand half of the content. But if it can change the current situation of being used by nobles, I’ll do anything. Besides, we are the Sword Fangs Legion. We want to fight stronger enemies and become stronger.”
With that, it seemed Jilboa’s mind was made up. “Kenji, do you have any thoughts on how to proceed?”
I nodded. “Yes. But it’s better to take some time. If you’ve made up your mind, there’s no need to rush.”
Deciding the direction of the organization and how to instill it. In stories, if the leader declares boldly, the members will follow. But in reality, it’s not that simple. When a leader changes, the organization changes. However, change comes with friction. If the friction is too great, the organization will fall apart.
Jilboa has great understanding, but the members should not be measured by that same standard. To change the direction of an organization, it is necessary to share a thorough vision, and to have the time and means to ensure that everyone understands it. The ideal change in direction for an organization is not something that happens suddenly one day. The ideal situation is one in which small changes are accumulated until, before you know it, big changes have occurred.
How to create those small changes—that’s where the skill of a consultant is put to the test.
