Helping with Adventurer Party Management - Chapter 11
Dear Readers,
Due to a temporary website issue, starting around April 3, all novels started before January 2025 will be temporarily moved to the drafts folder for approximately 3–4 weeks. Unfortunately, this novel is included in that list.
In the meantime, I will be uploading the latest advance chapters to my Ko-fi account for my supporters. Regular updates will resume as soon as the site allows.
Thank you for your patience and support!
Three months had passed since then (in Earth’s counting system).
The support service for struggling novice adventurers that I had started with Sarah had unexpectedly become popular. I was receiving around two bookings per day, guiding about ten people daily. My schedule was constantly packed.
Seriously, the Adventurers Guild really wasn’t providing any support at all… I couldn’t help but think that.
As for my reward, it was a little over one large copper coin a day.
With one large copper coin, I could live for two weeks, so a monthly income of 30 large copper coins would be equivalent to over 1.5 million yen in Japanese terms.
I wondered why I had ever bothered being an adventurer in the first place.
Sarah seemed to be doing well financially too. I guess that’s what happens when you earn a little over two copper coins a day in addition to the normal quests.
Unlike a regular adventurer’s quest, this job didn’t wear out your equipment.
Personally, I’d be happy to earn a little money and then retire once I’d saved up a certain amount, but… I was starting to get more and more irritated with the Adventurers Guild for neglecting the uneducated, poor adventurers I saw every day.
Speaking of irritation, there were also more fools coming to me when they heard I was making some money.
The other day, the innkeeper tried to charge me for using his place.
What an idiot.
“Hey, I’m staying at this inn, right? The people I advise also stay here or eat here. Is that a problem? If so, I’ll leave,” I warned him, and the innkeeper withdrew his demand.
Just to be safe, I decided to hide my money somewhere else.
And then, there was another time when a desperate, injured adventurer tried to attack me to steal my money.
I had been an adventurer for a wretched five years and always carried a sword, so I wasn’t about to be taken down by some injured, desperate adventurer scrounging for money. I dealt with him enough to incapacitate him without killing him and thoroughly thrashed him with the flat of my sword.
It was sad to remember that he was someone I’d gone shopping with before.
Business was going well, but the unpleasant incidents were only increasing.
