Bian Yingning, feeling innocent after being kicked, carefully moved to the edge of the bed and sat down, clutching her sore bottom.

She anxiously glanced at the closed bathroom door, stroking her chin, and shaking her head thoughtfully.

Suddenly, she covered her face and smiled.

No way… my brat… was this innocent?

She looked down at her clothes. These were the ones Shang Qinghui had given her. Hadn’t Shang Qinghui tried them on? Why did she buy them then?

Such a big reaction…

Tsk, did this mean she was still quite tempting to Shang Qinghui?

If she hadn’t been worried about Shang Qinghui losing too much blood, she would have tried again.

It wasn’t for any particular reason; she just wanted to test a theory.

Does seeing something stimulating really cause nosebleeds?

Bian Yingning was still thinking about this while changing into the clothes Shang Qinghui had prepared for her to go home.

She had only just taken off her top; her pants were still on. If she were completely naked, that would be something else entirely.

Was it because she was young?

No, she needed to take Shang Qinghui to eat something to cool her down. With such a fiery temper, how would things work out in the future?

Dressed, Bian Yingning folded her pajamas and placed them at the foot of the bed. She glanced at the bathroom door; Shang Qinghui still hadn’t come out.

Had she fainted?

Bian Yingning imagined Shang Qinghui lying on the floor, pale, with blood streaming from her nostrils, lifeless.

Her heart tightened. No! Her brat couldn’t have anything happen to her!

Bian Yingning rushed to the bathroom door. Before she got close, the door swung open.

She and Shang Qinghui stared at each other.

Shang Qinghui had a tissue in her nostril. Her face, possibly washed, was clear and bright, delicate and soft, but her eyes were droopy.

Bian Yingning cautiously asked, “Did the bleeding stop?”

Shang Qinghui ignored her, walking out, looking dejected.

She hummed, going to the small table. The afternoon pastries were gone; a delicate teapot and two small cups were there. She poured herself a cup of water and drank it down.

Then, she drank another cup.

Bian Yingning pinched her thigh, using the pain to control herself, but her face showed worry and concern.

Shang Qinghui ignored her. After drinking two cups of water, she put down the cup heavily, her eyes staring blankly ahead, “Laugh if you want.”

“Pfft—”

At this, Bian Yingning couldn’t help but laugh for a second, then quickly composed herself. But her laughter had already echoed in the room.

“Cough… laugh? You look like this, how can I laugh?” Bian Yingning’s expression was strange from suppressing her laughter.

Shang Qinghui rolled her eyes and lay on the bed to play with her phone.

Bian Yingning knelt by the bed, stroking her face, rubbing it like she was soothing a wound.

“Are you really okay?”

Feeling embarrassed, Shang Qinghui turned, avoiding Bian Yingning’s touch, her muffled voice saying, “It’s just a nosebleed. What’s the big deal?”

Because Shang Qinghui wasn’t looking at her, Bian Yingning could laugh freely behind her.

She covered her mouth, trying to suppress her laughter, but her body trembled slightly.

The more she tried not to laugh, the harder it was.

It was like an itch; scratching it only made it itch more.

Shang Qinghui wasn’t really playing with her phone; she was just scrolling aimlessly. When she didn’t get a response, she bit her lip.

Why wasn’t she speaking?

Was it because I was too cold, so she didn’t dare speak?

Or… was she doing something I couldn’t see?

Thinking this, Shang Qinghui, after a moment of silence, suddenly sat up, like a zombie rising from the dead.

Bian Yingning, who had been quietly laughing until tears welled up, was startled by her sudden movement.

Although she fell to the floor, her laughter disappearing, Shang Qinghui had already seen what she was doing.

She was laughing.

Laughing secretly behind my back!

Didn’t she understand? I said she could laugh, meaning she shouldn’t laugh!

Heh.

“Bian Yingning!” Shang Qinghui gritted her teeth.

Bian Yingning, already on the floor, found a comfortable position.

“What hahaha…” She couldn’t help it anymore.

“What’s so funny? Haven’t you laughed before?!” Shang Qinghui knelt on the bed, hands on her hips, glaring at Bian Yingning.

Bian Yingning shook her head, finally finishing laughing, “No… I wanted to ask… where did you get this underwear?”

Shang Qinghui turned away, “I bought too much clothing; it was a gift.”

So that’s it.

Bian Yingning found it funny, seeing the tissue still sticking out of Shang Qinghui’s nostril.

She stood up and knelt on the bed, facing Shang Qinghui.

Her soft hand gently caressed Shang Qinghui’s face, whispering, “Have you never seen this before, or am I too alluring?”

Like a vixen teasing an innocent nun.

Shang Qinghui didn’t want to answer either question.

Grabbing Bian Yingning’s teasing hand, Shang Qinghui threw her away, expressing her determination.

“It must be the noodles you made!” Shang Qinghui shouted, as if a loud voice could hide her nervousness.

Bian Yingning never expected her to blame the noodles.

She cried out in pain, “Why blame the noodles? Can’t you blame me? Can’t you blame me… for making you… aroused hahaha!”

Thinking of this, Bian Yingning felt incredibly happy.

Unreasonably happy.

Seeing her laughing wildly, Shang Qinghui couldn’t bear it, covering her mouth, “Don’t laugh!”

“Mmmmmm…” I wasn’t laughing at you.

She was just happy.

Happy that Shang Qinghui liked her.

Although Bian Yingning’s mouth was covered, her laughter shone in her eyes.

Remembering her own weakness, Shang Qinghui decided to fight back, “If you laugh again, I’ll take off my clothes too!”

Let’s see if she still laughs when she gets a nosebleed.

Bian Yingning stopped laughing.

“Mmmmmm!!!” Really?

What a great opportunity!

For the first time, Shang Qinghui understood Bian Yingning through her eyes.

“Re…” Shang Qinghui’s lips trembled, “Really your face!”

Shang Qinghui let go, hiding under the covers, wrapping herself completely.

She didn’t want to be seen.

Bian Yingning, seeing her like a spring roll, pounced, hugging her, half-lying on top, “Whose chubby ham and cheese spring roll is this?”

Shang Qinghui, trapped inside: “???”

“So round, so chubby!” Bian Yingning patted Shang Qinghui’s bottom.

Shang Qinghui struggled like she was being bitten by insects, “Let me go, Bian Yingning! Let me go, or I’ll kill you!”

Shang Qinghui, who wanted some peace, was now a spring roll under Bian Yingning.

“Aren’t you childish? Let me out!”

“Didn’t you get in yourself? Why get out so quickly?” Bian Yingning said leisurely.

They rolled around on the bed, one pinning the other, the bed creaking. It sounded like a fight.

Bian Yingning lifted the covers, asking the flushed Shang Qinghui, “Do you want to get out and kill me?”

Shang Qinghui: “…”

She felt her “kill” was different now, dirtier.

During the struggle, Shang Qinghui’s tissue fell out. Bian Yingning, seeing this, quickly removed Shang Qinghui from the covers.

Fortunately, the tissue was clean; the bleeding had stopped.

As Bian Yingning threw the tissue away, she felt a force, and she was spun around and pinned to the bed.

This time, Shang Qinghui was on top, her legs on either side of her body.

“You…” Bian Yingning didn’t resist, staring at Shang Qinghui, her hands gripping the pillow, her voice shy, “What do you want? Don’t, I’m scared…”

Shang Qinghui twitched her lips. She was wearing a round-neck undershirt; her jacket wasn’t on, making it convenient.

She lowered her head, and Bian Yingning’s grip on the pillow tightened.

Then, a soft touch came from the neckline Shang Qinghui was pulling down.

She sucked on a piece of flesh, her tongue lightly touching and teasing.

Bian Yingning trembled slightly.

It was tingling.

Tingling to the point of dizziness.

After a while, Shang Qinghui released the spot.

A bright red kiss mark appeared.

Shang Qinghui touched it, “A mark.”

Bian Yingning released the pillow, hugging her waist, “Should we add more marks?”

Shang Qinghui wanted to punch her.

She got off Bian Yingning, lying beside her, her hands under her head, looking at Bian Yingning, “Go home. You have things to do.”

Bian Yingning stroked her hair, “I’ll leave after you fall asleep.”

Shang Qinghui was stunned.

This kind of conversation, this scene… she’d never experienced it before.

Bian Yingning said nothing, rhythmically stroking her head.

Shang Qinghui, probably tired, stared at Bian Yingning for a while before her eyelids grew heavy, and she fell asleep.

She’d had a busy day, swimming for a long time. It was normal to be tired.

Bian Yingning quietly watched her sleeping face.

Even restless creatures have quiet moments. It was… lovely.

This day, this night, they had done everything and nothing.

They both stopped at the right moment.

They had kissed first and then made up for it. Compared to others, their pace was fast.

So, other things should be slower.

Give each other more time, more adjustment.

Rushing into everything, hastily savoring it, wouldn’t last.

…

After covering Shang Qinghui with a blanket, Bian Yingning put on her coat, gathered her things, and left quietly.

Her driver was waiting outside.

After slapping her face to wake herself up, Bian Yingning told the driver, “Go to the company.”

If possible, she also hoped to sleep here, on Shang Qinghui’s bed, quietly, close to her, falling asleep together.

But there’s plenty of time.

Bian Yingning looked up at the sky through the car window.

The sky was pitch black; there weren’t any stars tonight.

She knew why Ouyang Fei wasn’t home tonight. The bidding was the day after tomorrow; few people in this city would be sleeping well these days.

The Nangong family was in danger because of Duanmu Zhengjie’s counterattack. Nangong Jin still wanted to participate in the bidding; she wondered who gave him the courage.

It was questionable whether he could even afford to bid, let alone win.

But he still went.

Looking at the list of companies participating in the bidding, Bian Yingning tapped her finger on the paper.

Nangong Jin… was he trying to make a fool of himself?

…

Shang Qinghui slept until eight in the morning. Waking up, she was dazed for a while before realizing something. Getting up, she saw that Bian Yingning was gone.

Only her pajamas were left, kicked to the floor.

She picked them up and buried her face in them.

It smelled of her own shower gel, but she felt Bian Yingning’s scent.

Thinking of last night, she touched her lips, excitedly opening her phone to ask Bian Yingning about the mark situation, but she saw a text message.

After reading it several times, the blush on Shang Qinghui’s face faded.

She read the message again, then called the number, only to be told it was an invalid number.

Shang Qinghui’s face was serious.
