Lu Rong refused to do it herself, grabbing his collar. “No.”

She breathed softly, watching his face, completely bewitched, devoid of reason. Her body instinctively didn’t retreat an inch. She even pressed closer, lowering her head as if to kiss him.

But Lu Rong had learned from him and hovered close: “You’re the one who let me sit on your lap.”

Zhou Li’s abdominal muscles were solid and strong, the hard and soft contact making their gazes burn.

He didn’t protest, only letting her press closer.

“I won’t let you get closer,” Lu Rong said again.

Her tone and expression were coquettish. Zhou Li chuckled deeply. “Are you teaching me how to serve you?”

Lu Rong glared at him, flustered. “I’m not.”

He wiped the water from her lips with his fingertip, saying nothing, but the intensity of his gaze made her feel slightly guilty.

“You want to,” he breathed hotly. Lu Rong, too tired to argue, bit his lip.

She did want to, but didn’t want him to say it aloud.

Her teeth clamped his lip like a little wild animal holding a delicious piece of meat, unable to control the pressure. If she bit too hard, she licked it to soothe.

This adorable little act prompted Zhou Li to lift her onto the bed, holding her slender waist, taking the initiative, pressing his lips against hers.

Lu Rong kicked, trying to push him away, but his palms gripped her knees first.

She didn’t want to be restrained. She moved a few times, but her whole body tensed instantly.

His hands… Lu Rong felt dizzy, as if she were about to die. Her mind went blank, and her eyes turned completely red and moist.

Like a kitten whose vital spot had been struck.

Zhou Li’s mind was filled with everything Lu Rong was thinking. He knew exactly what she wanted to touch.

Lu Rong felt utterly chaotic—her breathing ragged, her body in turmoil, practically out of control.

Zhou Li was in full command of every inch of her senses, dangerously invading her most sensitive nerves.

He watched her snow-white skin flush crimson, glistening with a fine, fragrant sweat, and even her voice sounded like a kitten’s meow, stirring warmth in his chest.

He truly… wanted to devour her alive.

Suddenly, the atmosphere around Wuhui Tower shifted. Still unsatisfied, Zhou Li left, took the cloth he had used to wipe his sword, dried his damp knuckles, and said slowly, “Your father’s here.”

“Huh?” Lu Rong was momentarily stunned before realizing, nearly screaming, “Oh no, oh no! I’m going to be caught in bed cheating!”

Zhou Li, half-amused, half-exasperated, pulled the blanket over her. “Wait inside.”

Then he got up and left. Lu Rong tugged the blanket down, leaving only her eyes visible, watching his departing figure.

Her chest heaved violently.

Thinking back to the danger Zhou Li had posed just moments ago, she realized that if her father hadn’t arrived, she might have been completely undone.

She got up to leave, but having forgotten her Hundred-Mile Escape Technique, she couldn’t escape immediately.

She could only creep to the door, hoping to eavesdrop on their conversation.

Zhou Li reached the door and saw Lu Wen arriving late at night. Even before asking, he sensed the stealthy movements inside.

The slight chill in his brows vanished. “Master, is there anything I can do for you so late at night?” he asked politely.

“There is something,” Lu Wen said, looking at him with a hint of helplessness. “It’s about you and Rong’er.”

“Lu Rong and me?” Zhou Li feigned ignorance. “What do I have with her?”

“Rong’er has never gotten along with you, but she’s still just a child. If she bullied you, I hope you won’t hold it against her.” Lu Wen had been tossing and turning all night, wondering if Lu Rong had bullied Zhou Li.

Although Zhou Li’s cultivation level made him unlikely to be bullied, he had watched these two children for many years and knew that he had always been lenient with Lu Rong. Even when she hit him as a child, he never made a sound.

Bullying… she had indeed bullied him, but only in bed. Naturally, he would retaliate.

Zhou Li respectfully said, “Master, rest assured, I know my limits.”

His words were measured, slightly easing Lu Wen’s anxiety.

“Li’er, with your temperament and cultivation, you are bound to achieve great things. Lu Rong is clumsy; after I pass away, she’ll have no one to rely on.” Zhou Li understood the implication: Lu Wen hoped he would be Lu Rong’s support.

“I will teach her swordsmanship and help her cultivate,” Zhou Li said, each word striking precisely at Lu Wen’s heart.

As a father, he preferred Lu Rong to achieve mastery in swordsmanship and cultivation rather than depend on a man for survival.

Lu Wen’s eyes filled with relief. “Li’er, although you and Rong’er aren’t blood siblings, your care for her is exactly what a good older brother would do.”

Inside the room, Lu Rong heard this and stroked her chin.

[Isn’t this turning into pseudo-incest?]

[Ugh, I don’t want to call Zhou Li ‘brother.’]

Zhou Li, hearing her thoughts, was amused, but Lu Wen couldn’t afford to lose composure. “Master, this is what I should do,” he said calmly.

“That’s good. I feel more at ease,” Lu Wen added, finishing his business. He reminded Zhou Li to rest early, but before leaving, he faintly smelled a delicate peach scent, thinking of Lu Rong.

“Is Lu Rong here?” he asked.

Lu Rong was startled. Did her father have a dog’s nose? How could he smell that?

Seeing that her father had asked, she hurriedly opened the door, poked her head out, and grinned foolishly. “Dad, how did you know I’m here?”

Zhou Li hadn’t expected her to come out so directly, but her purpose was clear—she wanted to take this opportunity to leave.

As Lu Rong came out, Lu Wen asked curiously, “What are you doing here so late at night?”

His gaze swept over them both, making Lu Rong’s heart race. She quickly made up a story: “I came to ask Zhou Li to teach me cultivation. I didn’t tell you because I was afraid you’d laugh if I tried hard and got no results.”

Lu Wen didn’t quite believe her and looked toward Zhou Li instead.

Zhou Li’s smile deepened as he listened, the meaning behind his expression unmistakable.

Lu Rong’s heart thumped wildly. She wondered if this man would tell the truth.

She even felt as if she were secretly meeting with a rogue man behind her father’s back. Seeing Zhou Li about to speak, she instinctively stared at him.

“She did come to have me teach her cultivation,” he said calmly, though Lu Rong’s strange perception caught the emphasis on the last two words.

“And she’s been quite successful.”

Lu Rong: “…” He must be talking about something else!

“That’s good. You should come ask your senior brother for advice more often in the future.” Lu Wen patted her head. “You’ve become more sensible.”

Lu Rong chuckled to herself. If she continued to ask for advice like this, she really would have a massive confrontation with Zhou Li.

“Father, let’s go back.” If she didn’t, she’d be devoured by Zhou Li’s gaze.

“We won’t disturb you any longer,” Lu Wen said, leading her away. Zhou Li was left alone in front of Wu Hui Tower, watching her departing figure.

Was she really that afraid of him?

Zhou Li’s hands clenched slightly. It seemed he would need to proceed gradually.

He entered the room, glanced at the empty bed, and lay down where Lu Rong had just been.

The pillow and blankets still carried her sweet scent and lingering warmth.

Zhou Li pursed his lips. A possessive desire for her had grown in him—a fixation that would stop at nothing to obtain what he wanted.

Her escape only strengthened his resolve, planning traps to see her stumble again.

He got up to put away the red hair ribbon, but noticed she had taken it with her. She truly left nothing behind.

Zhou Li pulled out his jade pendant to send her a message.

Lu Rong had just returned to Zhuiyu Tower and collapsed onto the bed, her legs weak, when the pendant lit up. She opened it to see Zhou Li’s message:

[Zhou: You took the hair ribbon.]

[Lu Xiaorong: What do you want my hair ribbon for?]

[Zhou: What do you think?]

[Lu Xiaorong: You pervert!]

The jade pendant felt like a burning hot potato, and she tossed it aside, lying there, unwilling to chat. But curiosity won over, and she picked it up again.

The latest message read:

[Zhou: Next time, using medicine to blindfold your eyes isn’t proper, is it?]

Lu Rong: “…”

Maybe I’m the perverted one here.

But picturing Zhou Li blindfolded with the red ribbon, she bit her lip, took it out, and unconsciously wrapped it around her eyes a few times.

He really suits blindfold play.

She buried her face in the pillow, kicking her legs. Feeling the cool breeze, she suddenly sat up.

Oh no—her underpants were still rolled up in Zhou Li’s blanket!

They felt wet and uncomfortable, so she had removed them under the covers.

Sure enough, the pendant lit up again.

She hurriedly opened it and saw that Zhou Li had sent a virtual image—he was holding a pair of pants in his hand.

“Lu Rong, you left your pants for me to wash, didn’t you?”

Lu Rong curled up into a ball, her face burning with embarrassment, wishing she could reach out and snatch them back.

“I don’t want them anymore—they’re all dirty,” she said, blushing, and snapped the jade pendant shut.

It was just a pair of pants; she really didn’t care.

But thinking about it still made her ashamed, especially imagining Zhou Li actually washing them—it would be even more awkward.

She hurriedly opened the jade pendant to message him.

[Lu Xiaorong: Don’t wash them for me.]

[Zhou: Okay.]

Just as she relaxed, another message appeared:

[Zhou: Done washing.]

Lu Rong: …Ahhh! Is he crazy?!

She had completely given up. Losing control in his hands had already been embarrassing enough. His washing her wet pants was nothing compared to that.

Still, she vowed never to see Zhou Li again for a lifetime—no, two lifetimes!

Curled up in a ball, she lay dazed. After a while, she felt someone approaching. Half-asleep, she tried to wake, but her eyelids were heavy. She could only feel a powerful force holding her in place.

Then came the familiar touch of a tail coiling around her, cool against her heated skin, making her sigh in slight comfort.

Her tense mind gradually relaxed, and she murmured, “Zhou Li… your tail is so cool…”

At that sound, the black tail coiled around her, tensed excitedly, its tip twitching.

In the darkness, Zhou Li propped his head up, watching the person beside him sleep peacefully, a jet-black snake tail winding down her waist…
