When Lu Rong heard him ask that, she kicked her legs to stop him from grabbing her. “Bastard, I don’t want you to apply medicine to me!”
Her voice was slightly breathless, sounding less like a refusal and more like a teasing invitation.
Zhou Li noticed a few strands of hair on her face, like random marks on her pure white skin, carrying a disheveled beauty from being bullied. It made his Adam’s apple bob slightly.
He had occasionally heard others describe Lu Rong as bewitching—every frown and smile seemed seductive. At the time, he thought they were talking nonsense and had Bing Lie knock them away.
Now he truly felt it—she really was bewitching, especially when she looked at him with reddened eyes. That aggrieved gaze was like a hook, making his willpower waver, threatening to collapse and consume her completely.
Seeing the five bright yellow hearts on his forehead, Lu Rong felt like crying but had no tears. Why did this man always seem to want to devour her?!
She didn’t seem to have done anything wrong.
Could it be that the more she struggled, the more excited he became? Some men just had such peculiar fetishes!
She subconsciously gave up resisting. “You can apply the medicine, but don’t touch me there.”
“Where is ‘there’?” Zhou Li seemed puzzled. Lu Rong was too shy to answer and only mumbled twice, “The place you rubbed against last night.”
Zhou Li’s lips curved slightly, his brows furrowed, seemingly without any reaction. But Lu Rong saw the yellow hearts on his forehead suddenly turn into six!
Why was there still a breakthrough?! Wasn’t it supposed to be only five?
The system probably sensed her doubts.
[Host: This indicates his desire for you has exceeded the assessment value.]
[Friendly reminder: In this situation, the best course of action is—run!]
Lu Rong: “???” How absurd!
She wanted to run, but she was completely immobilized by him, only able to stiffly watch Zhou Li slowly raise his eyes, his gaze settling on hers.
Lu Rong swallowed hard under his gaze. “What…what are you going to do?”
“You’re afraid I’ll touch you,” Zhou Li said, slowly tugging at the hem of her underpants. Lu Rong quickly pulled at her waistband.
“You hurt me last time, of course, I’m scared,” Lu Rong said, using a ploy to get him to let her go.
Zhou Li probably knew he had overstepped before and said softly, “I’m sorry.”
His earnest apology made Lu Rong a little uncomfortable. “Never mind, you were just controlled by lust anyway.”
Actually, Zhou Li had been clear-headed the whole time. Lust could briefly control him, but after so long, he had long since sobered up—he just really wanted to tease her.
“If I learn how, will you still be afraid?” he asked, his eyes showing a hint of cautious trepidation.
Lu Rong thought about her mission. If Zhou Li could figure it out on his own, she could safely complete hers.
She nodded hastily. “If you’ve learned it, what am I afraid of?”
The key point was that if he could learn it himself, that would be the optimal solution.
Zhou Li hummed, seemingly understanding her meaning. “Apply the medicine.”
He gently pressed her ankle outward with his palm.
Lu Rong remembered how dangerous it had been when he closed his eyes last time, but if he didn’t, she would be the one facing social death.
“Close your eyes,” she said, somewhat resignedly.
Lu Rong saw him pull out another hairband and blindfold himself. Looking at the red hairband wrapped around his eyes, she suddenly realized it was the hairband she had worn the night before last!
Why does he keep everything?!
Her face instantly turned bright red. She covered her eyes with her hands, thinking, I can’t see, I can’t see.
She was so ashamed that she wanted to curl up into a ball.
But thinking about how Zhou Li had blindfolded her earlier, she couldn’t help but mutter to herself.
[He’s so lecherous.]
[Ahhhh, I feel like I’m getting six yellow hearts on my head too.]
For the past few days, Lu Rong had been constantly thinking about sleeping with Zhou Li, but she couldn’t because of his status. Desire and reason were pulling at each other.
Now, Zhou Li was applying the ointment to the reddened areas, slowly and meticulously, as if glazing a piece of porcelain. Hearing her inner groans, his movements became much gentler.
Lu Rong felt like she was sitting on pins and needles. “Is it done yet?!”
“No,” Zhou Li said softly. Lu Rong instinctively tried to close her legs, but Zhou Li pressed his palm against the inside of her thighs, gently spreading them. “The medicine isn’t dry yet. It’s a little damp.”
Her toes curled in embarrassment; she was so sensitive.
With each touch, her body trembled.
“Don’t tremble,” Zhou Li said softly. “Will this medicine hurt a lot?”
“I’m not applying it anymore!” Lu Rong bit her lip, looked at his eyes covered by the red hairband, and pushed him away, getting up to leave.
Zhou Li, probably because his vision was blocked, instinctively reached out and grabbed her hand, pulling her back.
Lu Rong, already unsteady, tumbled onto him. Zhou Li’s back pressed against the bedpost, and her knees landed on either side of his legs.
The position was somewhat ambiguous.
“Lu Rong?” Zhou Li called out, slightly raising his head, revealing his sexy Adam’s apple and chin.
Her ears rang with the sound of her pounding heartbeat. She stared at his lips, thinking about the chaos of the past few days and her own tangled emotions.
She blurted out, almost as if possessed, “Zhou Li, what we’re doing is wrong.”
Zhou Li had thought she was finally about to lose her patience, but he hadn’t expected her to say that.
He pulled the hairband from his eyes. His usually cold gaze was now utterly devoid of warmth.
“What do you mean, wrong?” he asked.
“I’ll disrupt your cultivation,” Lu Rong said frankly. “You cultivate the Path of Ruthlessness. What we’re doing will affect your progress, and it could even hinder your ascension.”
Hearing her words, Zhou Li suddenly laughed. His palm gripped her chin. His long lashes drooped; like a wild beast stripped of all pretense, he revealed his most primal, aggressive nature.
“Who said I cultivate the Path of Ruthlessness?”
Lu Rong looked at him, bewildered.
“There are countless paths in the world, but I only cultivate my own.” His final syllable was swallowed by her lips.
She was forced to tilt her head back and accept his deep kiss.
It seemed to be the first time Zhou Li had initiated a kiss—irrepressible, direct, and full of passion.
She grew dizzy from the kisses. Her skirt flared across the bed, piling around his legs like a trap of tenderness.
Her face flushed as he finally released her lips. She stared at him blankly, as if asking why he had stopped, leaning slightly forward, waiting for him to resume.
But Zhou Li didn’t move closer. He stopped at a distance, forcefully locking his hands around her waist, not allowing her to leave.
Looking at his hold, she remembered what Qiu Ling had told her earlier. Zhou Li was even more indulgent with her, always smiling and praising her no matter what.
She tried to move away, but he held her waist tightly. Her pink-and-white skirt bunched around her, making her fair face appear even more radiant, mingling with sweat and the fruity scent of peaches.
“I want to get off,” she gasped softly, trying to escape the suffocating atmosphere, but her whole body was limp, drained of all strength.
Her pleading only made him tighten his grip. She bit her lip. “Let me go.”
Zhou Li stared at the hot sweat dripping from her neck, then released her, his voice hoarse. “Then, you come here?”
