Chapter 107: Catching My Attention

Song Shimu wore a halter-style crop top that revealed half of her smooth, pale back, paired with a denim pleated miniskirt that showcased her long, slender legs.

She had styled her hair in a trendy look—half-up high ponytail with several playful small braids woven into the lower section. Her makeup was meticulously applied, with winged eyeliner and colorful small stickers beneath her eyes.

Waving a colorful glow stick, Song Shimu swayed her hips excitedly as she showed off to Lu Zhijin.

A Jin, what do you think? Will my idol notice me like this?

Lu Zhijin had been patiently waiting on the sofa for his wife to finish getting ready, only to be met with such a remark.

His face darkened as he crossed his long legs, propping an arm on the sofa. His gloomy eyes fixed on the excited young woman, his tone laced with danger.

You’ve certainly caught my attention.

Lu Zhijin stroked his chin, his heart sour with jealousy, and declared stubbornly:

You’re not going anywhere today!

What’s wrong, hubby?

Song Shimu quickly tried to appease him, settling onto the man’s lap where she could feel his firm thigh muscles beneath her. She softened her posture and leaned into Lu Zhijin’s embrace.

Idols are distant Stars, but you’re the one who’ll always be by my side.

Aren’t Stars your favorite? Lu Zhijin raised an eyebrow.

……

When men get jealous, they’re even more unreasonable than women!

I like you the most—I love you the most! I love you so much I don’t know which way is up!

Song Shimu wrapped her arms around the man’s neck, cupping his face as she covered it with kisses until his lips were stained a vivid red.

Internally, Song Shimu thought: Hurry up and calm down, you big vinegar jar, or I’ll miss my idol’s concert!

Pacified by his wife’s coaxing, Lu Zhijin took Song Shimu out. Their driver was already waiting downstairs.

The SOT group actually stands for The Son of Time in English, meaning children of time. But since sot also means drunkard in English, their fans call themselves drunkards.

This idol group consists of three members with exceptional visuals and outstanding singing and dancing skills.

Having debuted over four years ago, they gained widespread attention from the start due to their handsome appearances and now boast millions of fans.

This concert was held at Haishi Stadium, which could accommodate fifty thousand people.

Even before reaching the venue, the roads around the stadium were completely jammed with excited young men and women holding banners and glow sticks.

Their driver circled to the back instead of heading toward the main entrance.

From the moment she got in the car, Song Shimu had been happily bobbing her head to the music, but she grew puzzled as she observed their direction.

Aren’t we going to line up at the entrance?

How could my wife be treated like everyone else?

Lu Zhijin’s eyes held a profound meaning as he reached out to bring the small braids she had tossed back over her shoulders to the front.

Just as the driver parked, Lu Zhijin took Song Shimu’s hand and helped her out of the car.

A man in a black suit stood by the vehicle, accompanied by several people wearing staff badges. Seeing Lu Zhijin’s car, the suited man proactively opened the door and greeted them.

Young Master Lu, I didn’t expect you to come in person.

My wife wanted to attend the concert.

Ah, what an honor for the SOT group! Please, come right this way.

Song Shimu was slightly surprised but maintained a calm expression as she followed Lu Zhijin through the staff entrance into the backstage area.

The backstage workroom of the stadium was spacious. When the staff saw the man in the suit, they all greeted him proactively.

Good day, Master Zhang.

The man was the domestic coordinator for celebrity concerts. Every concert he handled was grand in scale, featuring either A-list stars or top-tier influencers.

The suited man led Lu Zhijin and the others to an inner dressing room. Staring at the nameplate on the door, Song Shimu’s heart raced wildly, and she subconsciously tightened her grip on Lu Zhijin’s hand.

Feeling the pressure in his palm, Lu Zhijin frowned almost imperceptibly, suddenly wanting to take Song Shimu home right then and there.

The dressing room door opened to reveal bright lighting. The LED lights around the mirrors made everyone’s reflection exceptionally clear.

Each mirror station was occupied by a handsome young man, with stylists carefully styling their hair and makeup artists doing touch-ups.

Noticing the newcomers through the mirrors, the three seated men immediately rose with smiles.

All were handsome men over 180cm tall, wearing slim-fit black jeans and Martin boots. Their studded shirts revealed attractive collarbones.

The leader had a charmingly roguish appearance with bright almond-shaped eyes that tilted upward at the corners, accentuated by dark eye makeup and thin, sensual lips.

The man beside him featured rugged handsomeness with a stylish crew cut, exuding intense masculine energy though his muscles weren’t overly developed.

The third man had delicate, clean-cut features with a touch of innocent charm, resembling a forest elf.

Master Zhang.

Master Zhang smiled and nodded, stepping aside to make introductions.

Let me introduce you – this is Young Master Lu. I’m sure you’ve all heard of him. Perform well tonight – Madame Lu is very fond of your group.

The three men looked astonished, seemingly unable to believe that Young Master Lu would come to their concert!

Everyone in Haishi knew Lu Zhijin’s name!

He was the influential figure countless people sought to curry favor with – a powerful noble whose words could determine a family’s fate, a behind-the-scenes magnate even media couldn’t interview!

They actually had the chance to interact with such a person!

But having been in the entertainment industry for years, all three possessed high emotional intelligence. They quickly composed themselves and bowed politely before introducing themselves.

Good evening, Young Master Lu. Good evening, Madame Lu.

I’m Qu Xiao, leader of the SOT group.

I’m Li Youchen.

I’m Zhou Haoyang.

As people accustomed to living under spotlights, they were well-practiced in presenting their most refined selves.

The three maintained gentle smiles with sparkling eyes, handsome faces, and an aura of noble elegance.

Song Shimu clenched her left fist tightly, suppressing the urge to let her lips curl upward, reminding herself she was a married woman who absolutely shouldn’t smile too wildly.

Otherwise, that jealous husband Lu Zhijin would definitely turn and leave, possibly even cancel the concert entirely!

But who could stay calm when meeting their ultimate bias ah ah ah ah!

Completely unaware of his wife’s inner turmoil, Lu Zhijin responded with an expressionless nod, his tone flat.

My wife is very fond of you. Could we take a photo with her?

Of course, it would be our honor!

Song Shimu stared at Lu Zhijin in astonishment—this famously jealous man had actually taken the initiative to help her ask for a group photo.

He’d rather torture himself with jealousy than deny her wish. Song Shimu was so moved she could have cried herself to death.

I love you, husband.

She whispered her confession, eyes sparkling brightly, yet her body betrayed her honesty as she released Lu Zhijin’s hand and walked right into the middle of the SOT group, beaming with extraordinary radiance.

Though Lu Zhijin’s heart twisted with dissatisfaction, he forced himself to endure it for his wife’s sake, barely containing his irritation as he helped take the group photo. The veins on his forehead bulged from the strain, while he comforted himself thinking, I must be the perfect twenty-four filial piety husband.
