Chapter 91: Night Castle 6
At this time, Zhou Zhou and Alvia were on the third floor in a certain room.
The gazes of the two were directed towards the bed at the innermost part of the room. Zhou Zhou walked forward a few steps, squatted down and looked under the bed, where a shivering male player was curled up.
It’s not Lan Ya.
Zhou Zhou stood up and shook his head at Alvia. This was already the third player they had found in the various rooms, but so far they still hadn’t found Lan Ya.
Just then, the two of them simultaneously looked towards the direction of the door.
It seemed like they heard someone shouting for help?
Although that voice wasn’t Lan Ya’s, after exchanging a glance, the two still prepared to go take a look.
After coming out from the third floor, that voice disappeared.
Alvia was very sure that the voice came from downstairs, so the two walked down from the third floor stairs again.
As soon as they turned the corner of the stairs, they saw a scene like a crime scene.
The steps were scattered everywhere with hands, feet and torsos, even more fragmented than how the old butler was quartered before.
Moreover, no matter which severed limb it was, they were all striving to crawl in the same direction.
At first, the two thought it was the old butler breaking apart again, but they soon realized that these limbs did not belong to the old butler, the skin color and clothing style were completely different.
These limbs looked more matched to the severed hand that Zhou Zhou was holding.
Zhou Zhou looked at the severed hand he was holding, and then carefully examined the severed limbs on the ground, realizing that many parts were missing here.
He carefully walked past these limbs, coming down from the stairs, but his gaze never left the limbs that seemed to be moving like living things.
Suddenly, as he walked in front of a severed arm, he placed the severed hand he was holding onto it, and the wrist joint fit perfectly.
Zhou Zhou looked up and said to Alvia, “Wait a moment, let me put them back together first.”
Gathering all the remaining parts on the stairs, Zhou Zhou quickly reassembled these limbs like putting together a puzzle.
Except for the severed hand that was still clinging to his back and refusing to come down, this body was now largely complete. The body, one whole arm and two legs were there, now only missing a head and the other arm.
The reassembled body used the strength of its arm to shakily stand up, then like a drunk person, it used the one hand to grope its way towards the corridor. But without a head, the body couldn’t see where it was going and could only feel its way forward, crashing straight into the wall head-on.
Fortunately the crash wasn’t serious and the body didn’t break apart again, then it began a new round of groping.
Under the watchful eyes of Zhou Zhou and Alvia, this incomplete body had crashed into the wall five or six times, but it was still trying hard to go somewhere.
Finally, Zhou Zhou couldn’t bear to watch it keep crashing into the wall, and asked from behind, “Where do you want to go? I’ll take you there.”
The body didn’t have ears and couldn’t hear Zhou Zhou’s voice, continuing to stumble forward.
Zhou Zhou took a step forward, wanting to go up and support it, but a hand pressed down on his shoulder.
It was Alvia’s hand. Alvia looked towards the dim corridor ahead and said, “There’s a sound coming from up front.”
Zhou Zhou also immediately looked ahead, listening carefully. Aside from the sounds of the body crashing into walls and walking, there was a faint sobbing sound coming from deep in the corridor.
“Let’s go up and take a look first.” Alvia’s expression was cold as he walked ahead of Zhou Zhou.
The two walked past the body crashing into walls everywhere, heading deeper into the corridor.
The further they went, the clearer the sobbing sound became. However, this voice didn’t belong to Lan Ya either, because it was the sound of a man crying, sounding like…the person who had shouted for help earlier.
Following the sound, the two stopped at the entrance to the washroom, staring at the closed toilet bowl. Alvia stayed silent without continuing forward.
“Did you find them?” Zhou Zhou poked his head out from behind, and seeing Alvia not saying anything, he stepped forward towards the source of the sound.
The two gazed at a toilet in contemplation. Why…why would a toilet crying?
Alvia didn’t move, while Zhou Zhou blinked and stepped forward to open the lid.
The previously muffled sobbing sound immediately became clear, and inside the toilet bowl, a human-shaped head suddenly appeared.
The crying head finally saw the light of day again, immediately catching sight of Zhou Zhou curiously staring at it. The pair of amber eyes held no fear or disgust, only pure, natural curiosity filling the light-colored pupils.
The head looked at Zhou Zhou, changing from sorrowful sobbing to painful bawling, as if finally having an opportunity to vent its grievances.
“You are…” Zhou Zhou looked carefully, realizing that the skin color of this head was highly similar to the body he had reassembled, “How did you end up here? Your body has been out there looking for you this whole time.”
Zhou Zhou suddenly understood why that body kept stumbling around trying to come this way, the head was in the toilet bowl.
He went outside, then supported the crashing body and guided it towards the washroom.
Sure enough, as soon as it entered, this body headed straight for the toilet bowl, wanting to use its hand to scoop its own head out.
“Al…” Zhou Zhou nudged the body and called out Alvia’s name.
Alvia very cooperatively took the severed hand off Zhou Zhou’s back and handed it to him.
“Your hand fell off, I helped pick it up for you. And you can’t keep your head in the toilet bowl, it won’t flush down.” Zhou Zhou said very seriously, then handed the severed hand to the person who had already put their head back in place.
The man took his hand back sobbing, originally wanting to reattach it, but realizing his arm was still outside the castle. Overcome with sorrow, he began crying woefully again.
His voice wasn’t very pleasant to begin with, deep and rough. When crying, it became loud and hoarse, making people feel uncomfortable listening to it.
Neither Zhou Zhou nor Alvia showed any strangeness, looking at him as if he were just an ordinary person.
The man suddenly walked towards Zhou Zhou feeling wronged, wanting to seek consolation from the kind-hearted person by crying it all out.
But he was blocked by the other person instead.
“Wash up first,” Alvia said seriously. Even though he knew this was a holographic world and the washroom and toilet were just for show, not actually used, with the water inside very clean, or rather, everything here was made of data with no concept of dirtiness.
But Alvia still felt that after coming out of the toilet, it would be better to wash up.
With his head doused in water, the man’s hair was drenched and plastered to his forehead, making him look even more ferocious. His tall, burly figure was only slightly smaller than Heya, appearing terrifying and vicious.
However, his personality was unexpectedly gentle. He let out an “oh”, sniffled, and then obediently went to wash his head and hands.
Missing one hand, grooming himself was very inconvenient. He used his other hand to roll up the empty sleeve all the way to his shoulder, then directly attached the severed hand there.
It looked like a hand was directly growing out of his shoulder, the two sides uneven and uncoordinated. But during washing his face and head, that much shorter hand could still provide a little help.
Zhou Zhou watched the man groom himself with interest, especially that agile hand growing from his shoulder, finding this person quite interesting.
Not only could he separate his entire body into pieces, but each part could also run around freely and be randomly reattached elsewhere. It seemed really fun, Zhou Zhou didn’t know if he could transform like that too, he would ask Zeus later.
Finally, after the man finished washing up, he casually used a towel to wipe his head, tousling his hair into a mess before looking back at Zhou Zhou.
“Why were you in the toilet?” Zhou Zhou was very curious about this.
Then that ferocious face suddenly turned aggrieved. But no matter how pitiful he tried to look, that face could only appear fierce and terrifying.
He walked towards Zhou Zhou, the scars on his face twitching: “I was thrown into the toilet by a vicious player, she also beat me up and threw my arm out the window.”
The man told his story. Recalling his ordeal and seeing Zhou Zhou listening seriously, he felt the gap between people was really too large.
There were people who beat and bullied him, but also people who helped him and listened to him speak.
“Aaaaaah~”
The man extended his good arm, placing his hand on Zhou Zhou’s shoulder, then rested his head on the back of his own hand and cried. Although Zhou Zhou was smaller than him, when he first saw him in the darkness, he only felt an aura of justice, equality, brilliance and safety radiating from him.
Zhou Zhou, closest to the man leaning on his shoulder crying, had no particular thoughts about the action. He just felt the man’s crying voice was really loud, making his ears ring intensely. Wow, he could really cry.
Alvia frowned deeply at their intimate posture, feeling this man was too lacking in propriety to be so intimate with someone he had just met and wasn’t familiar with.
He was about to step forward and separate them when he heard the sound of a door opening.
The washroom door was open-faced, directly across from the sinks, with the small room on the side leading to the toilet area. The three of them were standing in front of the sinks, meaning they were basically standing in the hallway.
The door opening sound Alvia first heard came from not far behind them in the hallway.
And the innermost door in the hallway from where the sound came was Lan Ya’s room.
They hadn’t found anything in Lan Ya’s room before, but now the person coming out was Lan Ya herself.
She was holding a high stool, tears streaming down as she trembled looking at them.
Or rather, her gaze was fixed on the person grabbing onto Zhou Zhou.
“Let him go quickly, or I won’t be polite!”
Lan Ya had been crying in the room for a while, her eyes swollen from lying on the bed sobbing. She heard the noises outside and although scared, still secretly listened by the door.
Not hearing Zhou Zhou and the other person’s conversation, she only heard the monster’s growling become louder and louder, like escalating roars.
The monster came out again!
Lan Ya realized the monster was still alive. She originally wanted to hide under the bed, but for some reason, she mustered her courage to quietly crack open the door. Then she saw the monster holding Zhou Zhou hostage, with Al facing off against the monster and Zhou Zhou in a standoff.
Panicked and helpless, she anxiously paced around the room several times before finally crying and bravely rushing out wielding the stool.
Don’t be afraid Zhou Zhou, wait for me to come rescue you!
