Dear Readers,

Due to a temporary website issue, starting around April 3, all novels started before January 2025 will be temporarily moved to the drafts folder for approximately 3–4 weeks. Unfortunately, this novel is included in that list.

In the meantime, I will be uploading the latest advance chapters to my Ko-fi account for my supporters. Regular updates will resume as soon as the site allows.

Thank you for your patience and support!

The plan to establish a shoe manufacturing company for adventurers is set. However, it’s still just an idea in my head. More than anything, I don’t have a budget.

There are no banks in this world that will fund business plans, so I have to earn the business funds myself. The priority sales rights for the shoes have no credibility because I have no track record of producing shoes. Although I’ve saved the money earned from guiding novice adventurers without wasting it, it’s only been just over three months since I started. The accumulated funds amount to about 100 large copper coins.

As personal assets go, this amount is sufficient to buy a small house, a field, and livestock and retire comfortably. However, it’s still short by two digits for business use. Although there’s great potential in adventurer shoes, jumping in too quickly could lead to failure. The goal is to get the business on track within a year. The initial target is to produce 100 pairs of adventurer shoes and supply them to the Sword Fangs Legion. I already have a concrete plan for this and am confident in managing it. If I can achieve this, the funds on hand will double, and production know-how will be solidified. Producing only with craftsmen who can keep the production process confidential would lessen the risk of the technology leaking out and eliminate potential problems.

In manufacturing, while concepts and advertising are important, actual performance and the tangible product are crucial. A record of selling 100 new pairs of shoes to a top-tier clan like the Sword Fangs Legion will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the shoe’s reputation. In the meantime, I’ll continue to earn money and prepare to start a company. Before various people catch wind of the lucrative opportunity and start gathering, I need to organize a team and establish a system to fend them off.

“It seems doable,” I say, speaking out loud without realizing it.

“What’s that?” Sara asks, glancing at me as she eagerly eats her porridge.

“I’m going to the Sword Fangs Legion today to get introduced to some good leather craftsmen.”

Sara responds with a disinterested “Hmm.”

Well, I haven’t taken her to the Sword Fangs Legion yet.

“Want to come?”

“Yeah! I’m going! I mean, the captain is so cool! I’ve always wanted to see him!” Sara’s enthusiastic and immediate reply is slightly amusing.
