Helping with Adventurer Party Management - Chapter 42
Dear Readers,
Due to a temporary website issue, starting around April 3, all novels started before January 2025 will be temporarily moved to the drafts folder for approximately 3–4 weeks. Unfortunately, this novel is included in that list.
In the meantime, I will be uploading the latest advance chapters to my Ko-fi account for my supporters. Regular updates will resume as soon as the site allows.
Thank you for your patience and support!
The next morning, I woke up in bed to find Sarah’s face right in front of me. Startled, I checked my body, but there were no signs of any disarray in my clothes. I gently pulled back the sheets and saw that Sarah was still fully dressed. She sure knows how to tease.
Come to think of it, Sarah has been like this since our adventurer days. In rural areas, sleeping in a big family’s room in a shared bed is normal, so it’s my modern sensibilities that are odd.
Trying not to disturb Sarah, I quietly closed the door and left the room. I must have drunk quite a bit last night due to stress, but surprisingly, I didn’t have a headache. The ale here has a low alcohol content, so a moderate amount doesn’t cause much trouble.
Since distilled spirits and whisky are sold in the market, it seems the technology exists, but it’s just not affordable for rookie adventurers due to financial reasons.
In the cold morning air, I needed to think things over. I would love some coffee on a morning like this, but there’s no coffee in this world. Since I didn’t feel like drinking ale in the morning, I asked the innkeeper to boil water for me.
I made a simple tea by adding some herbs that are traditionally drunk in this region. However, adventurers who try such sophisticated things risk being ridiculed as “lordlings,” so I never did this during my active days.
Checking my schedule, I found no appointments with rookie adventurers scheduled for the morning. Before Sarah wakes up and things get noisy, I need to carefully consider my future plans.
