Dear Readers,

Due to a temporary website issue, starting around April 3, all novels started before January 2025 will be temporarily moved to the drafts folder for approximately 3–4 weeks. Unfortunately, this novel is included in that list.

In the meantime, I will be uploading the latest advance chapters to my Ko-fi account for my supporters. Regular updates will resume as soon as the site allows.

Thank you for your patience and support!

“Hey, um,” Sarah began hesitantly. “Why do you want to sell shoes to adventurers? If they’re really that good, you could sell them to the military or the royal palace, right?”

“I wouldn’t sell them to those guys. More accurately, I can’t and I don’t want to. Besides, I want adventurers to earn more by selling them shoes,” I explained, sensing that my previous explanation was insufficient, so I added more so that Sarah could understand.

“First of all, the military isn’t buying right now. Selling to the military involves enormous contracts. It’s not a place where a drifter like me can just waltz in. I’d end up wrapped in mats and floating down the river.”

“Also, these shoes should be sold to people who earn their living on their feet, like adventurers. Wearing these shoes reduces the risk of injury on the way to a quest location and decreases fatigue, cutting down travel time. What might take four days can be done in three. No need for rest due to injury or using medicinal herbs. As a result, they can handle about 30% more quests in a year. Success rates go up, and expenses go down.”

“These shoes lead to successful adventures. This is my way of supporting rookie adventurer parties,” I said, embarrassed by how passionate I was, so I shut my mouth.

Sarah’s eyes sparkled mischievously as she responded, “I see how your shoes could be useful! Now let’s think about how to sell them! I’ll help you sell a bunch!”

“And then, you’ll make more copper coins, right?” I teased, trying to hide my embarrassment.

“Of course!! Let’s make a ton of money!!” Sarah replied with a big smile.
