Helping with Adventurer Party Management - Chapter 180
Dear Readers,
Due to a temporary website issue, starting around April 3, all novels started before January 2025 will be temporarily moved to the drafts folder for approximately 3–4 weeks. Unfortunately, this novel is included in that list.
In the meantime, I will be uploading the latest advance chapters to my Ko-fi account for my supporters. Regular updates will resume as soon as the site allows.
Thank you for your patience and support!
The next step is figuring out how to implement these policies into operations.
While I’ve discussed the management policy with the shareholders—Sword Fangs Legion and the intercity merchant, Gooljin—when it comes to actual business operations, I need to discuss and persuade the department heads responsible for practical work. According to the organizational chart, this includes Sara, Gorgogo, Anne, and Kiriku.
In front of these familiar faces, I start the meeting. I summarize and explain that:
- We can now draft reports for the Adventurers’ Guild and obtain data on adventurers.
- The reform of adventurer organizations is progressing, and requests to adventurers are becoming more active.
- I have been summoned by the church to provide guidance on the development project.
- There is increased momentum for the development project among nobles and the church.
Although I believe everyone is aware of at least some of these matters as involved parties, understanding how they perceive the facts requires explanation.
“Does anyone have any questions or need more details on anything so far?”
When I ask, Anne lazily raises her hand with half-closed eyes and asks, “I understand you’ve made strong connections with the church’s priests, but is there no chance to meet with wealthy clergy?”
As expected of Anne, she doesn’t waver.
Then Kiriku teases Anne, “Higher-ranking clergy prefer more refined ladies!”
This makes Anne furious. She plants a heel of her shoe on the chair and shouts, “What did you say? Are you saying I’m unrefined? You muscle-bound fool! Say that again!”
The meeting becomes chaotic from the start.
No, no, no matter how long and fluttery your skirt is, your underwear will be visible with that posture, Anne. I think this but, out of courtesy, I avert my gaze.

I gather my composure and reveal the company’s goal: to increase shoe production tenfold within three years.
Sara, who has been briefed in advance, is fine with this, but Anne and Gorgogo are skeptical.
Gorgogo raises numerous questions about manufacturing, all of which I answer.
“There’s no way this building can accommodate ten times the production.”
“We’ll either relocate or build a new facility on a different site.”
“Do you have the funds for that? Moreover, land isn’t easily acquired through normal means.”
“We will generate the funds. We’ll consult the church for acquiring the land.”
“Can we train enough craftsmen in time?”
“We’ll establish a system where craftsmen train other craftsmen. We’ll simplify the work as much as possible.”
Anne has many questions about the market, but I answer those as well.
“Will such a large quantity sell?”
“We’ll receive new orders for shoes from the church. We plan to sell the Guardian Shoes throughout the kingdom.”
“Won’t the price drop if you make so many?”
“Even if the price drops, we’ll sell them. Once people wear these shoes, they won’t go back to the old ones. Our priority is to get them on as many feet as possible.”
It seems that they begin to sense my seriousness about increasing shoe production tenfold, as their expressions grow more serious.
Gorgogo essentially supports the plan, or rather, delegates it.
“Well then, I’ll leave the details to Kenji and focus on making the shoes for the church. I’ve got some materials I want to try out.”
Surprisingly, Anne, or perhaps because of the difficulty, is actively supportive.
“You’ve become quite the impressive man. If you succeed and become wealthy, you could consider becoming my patron.”
By the way, when Anne refers to an “impressive man,” she means someone who has substantial wealth and generously supports the theater. It’s quite straightforward. However, I politely decline.
“With that said, I’ve set out the plan for this year. I’ll start explaining, so please listen.”
As I begin explaining based on the plan, confusion spreads across everyone’s faces.
