Dear Readers,

Due to a temporary website issue, starting around April 3, all novels started before January 2025 will be temporarily moved to the drafts folder for approximately 3–4 weeks. Unfortunately, this novel is included in that list.

In the meantime, I will be uploading the latest advance chapters to my Ko-fi account for my supporters. Regular updates will resume as soon as the site allows.

Thank you for your patience and support!

In the end, despite a considerable struggle, I managed to get the agreement of both shareholders.

With this, it can be said that the management team’s future vision is aligned. Now, we just need to proceed with the business according to the plan.

When I return to the company office, Sara greets me. “How did it go? Did everything work out?” she asks with a hint of concern.

Well, if I come in with a worried expression, it would be natural for her to be concerned.

“Well enough. I’d say we manage to put a collar on a wolf, so to speak.”

“That sounds like quite an understatement. Was it really that dangerous?”

“Yeah, it was. Stay away from Gooljin; he’ll bite.” After answering, I find myself staring at Sara’s face for some reason. Maybe I am still thinking about what Swiberry said earlier.

“What’s wrong? Is there something on my face?” Sara rubs her cheeks with both hands.

“No, it’s nothing. Have you been going back home recently?”

“Yeah, I have. Since my salary has increased, everyone is really happy.”

I see. Indeed, Sara now earns several times more than the average adventurer. For someone who came to the city after struggling in a rural village, she can be considered a success story. And she’s been bringing home what she’s earned.

“Maybe I should visit your hometown once.” When I say that casually, Sara looks visibly flustered.

“What!? Well, I’d be happy if you did, but why?”

“Sara has been taking care of me, so I want to see what it’s really like in the countryside.”

Hearing that, Sara, who had been unsettled, seems to regain her composure a little. “Well, yes, that’s true. But recently, the harvest has been good, and we’ve been able to enjoy bread at the festivals.”

“That’s good to hear.”

“Yeah.”

“Hey, do you like bread?”

“I love it!”

“I hope a world comes where everyone can have bread every day.”

“Yes, that would be nice.”

That day, I feel unmotivated to work for some reason. As I sip the tea Sara has made and drift off thinking about future plans, the sun completely sets.

◇ ◇ ◇ ◇ ◇

The next day, I begin working on revising the business plan.

Even if we plan to increase shoe production by ten times over three years, we can’t borrow funds from a bank in this world based on a business plan alone.

We have no choice but to secure funding through direct finance with shoe production as collateral. However, those who understand the value of shoes are also the ones eager to meddle in the business.

It’s clear that once many of these people get involved, the basic policy of selling shoes at low prices and in large quantities will face interference.

To avoid this, it’s necessary to solidify the business foundation in the short term.

We should treat the three-year plan as a long-term goal and adjust the one-year plan to be more conservative.

First, I’ll set three basic policies:

  1. No additional fundraising for the first year.
  2. Avoid investments that don’t generate short-term returns, such as land and buildings.
  3. Develop and produce shoes for the church as early as possible.

Based on these policies, I’ll draft a concrete plan.

Whether we can concretely establish the mid-term goals and business plans that connect the long-term vision with long-term plans will distinguish dreamers from practical professionals.

This is where I need to show my skills.
