  3. Chapter 9 - A Sense of Scheduling

Dear Readers,

Due to a temporary website issue, starting around April 3, all novels started before January 2025 will be temporarily moved to the drafts folder for approximately 3–4 weeks. Unfortunately, this novel is included in that list.

In the meantime, I will be uploading the latest advance chapters to my Ko-fi account for my supporters. Regular updates will resume as soon as the site allows.

Thank you for your patience and support!

There’s a reason why Sarah was puzzled by the concept of a schedule. Not just adventurers, but people in this world in general have a remarkably thin concept of schedules. While there are concepts like the Dawn Moon, Emerald Star Moon, and Azure Moon, there is no concept of a week. Instead, they gather roughly three days as one unit, count them as one, two, and so on up to sixteen, which makes up one month.

Therefore, adventurers live with a sense of yesterday, today, and tomorrow, and many requests are structured around intervals of three days. Fortunately, they do have established events like “New Year’s Rite” and “Sowing Day” to mark the beginning and end of the year, which helps them understand time to some extent.

In other words, there is no concept like what businessmen in Japan do, dividing a day into four parts and scheduling meetings and work in time units, or splitting a week into 20 segments. Naturally, there are no time tables or business diaries either.

Planners… I wonder if it will sell. No, it wouldn’t work. I don’t have the capital, and someone would just copy it.

Well, maybe big merchants have a different sense. As for poor adventurers from farming backgrounds, they’re basically living day-to-day. If you told them to “meet between the bells of noon five days from now,” they’d probably just be confused or forget due to getting drunk.

There are no mechanical clocks in this world either. Church bells tell time with some mysterious power, but they’re expensive so it’s good enough if there’s one in town.

In any case, the mechanism for securing referrals has been established. Next, it seems necessary to organize a system for managing referred adventurers.
