Qian Hui was a little zombie.
He was a zombie NPC living in the game [ Plant Little Courtyard ]. His daily routine involved going out on time, nibbling on sunflowers and nuts, and collapsing to play dead when his health bar ran low.
When not “working,” Qian Hui was good friends with the plants.
Pea lined his bed with cabbage leaves, Little Mushroom kept him company at night, Chili Pepper chased away bullies, and Carnivorous Flower shared its prey with him.
Qian Hui even had a boyfriend—a human who lived in a secluded forest cabin and couldn’t visit often. But his boyfriend treated him well, cooking delicious soups, teaching him to read and write, and gently kissing his cheek.
Qian Hui lived happily, free from worries.
Then one day, he suddenly transmigrated into a book.
He found himself as a minor zombie character in a post-apocalyptic novel, opening his eyes just in time to witness a massive battle between zombies and mutated plants.
A colossal Carnivorous Flower, its shadow blotting out the sun like a dark cloud, devoured seven or eight mid-level zombies in a single gulp, sweeping through the battlefield with unstoppable force.
Qian Hui: [ !(◎_◎;) Isn’t that the Little Purple Flower from the game? How did it get so huge?! ]
At that moment, a mechanical voice echoed in Qian Hui’s mind.
[ Ding—You have been bound to the Plant Encyclopedia System. ]
[ The apocalypse has arrived! A three-way war between superpowered humans, the cunning Zombie King, and rampaging mutant plants is about to erupt! Please enjoy the game to your heart’s content! ]
This was the sixth year of the apocalypse.
Recently, the Black Ridge Mountain Base had noticed some anomalies.
For instance, the number of high-level zombies lurking around the base had begun to decrease, and the usually volatile mutated plants had suddenly become docile and peaceful.
Later, a clumsily written confession letter arrived at the base, addressed to its leader.
Nan Tingjin, the ruthless and decisive leader of the base, known as the “Cruel Blade” and a Super SSS-Class Ability User, was the highest authority. Confessing to him was tantamount to courting death.
No one paid attention to the confession letter, assuming it was someone’s prank.
The next day, a Chili Pepper with a hooked stem infiltrated the base and kidnapped the leader!
Qian Hui: He’s my boyfriend! (”ヘ”)
- This is not a Plants vs. Zombies fanfic. Only some plant appearances are referenced, such as the Carnivorous Flower hat on the cover. All other game mechanics are original to this story.
- The male lead transmigrated first. By the time the main character transmigrated, it was already the sixth year of the apocalypse.
- Body transmigration, 1v1, mutual first love.
