The hall of the Demon King Castle had become a wall of graffiti; however, these densely packed drawings were not the antics of children, but rather the magical arrays drawn by the Demon King.

According to intelligence, the enemy forces for this invasion were double the size of the army led by Altor last time. Clearly, they exceeded the current combat strength of the Demon King’s army.

“The three major organizations… even Doris, who is responsible for the frontline defense, cannot gauge their levels. It is estimated that there are at least fifty individuals at level 50 or above.”

Level assessments are typically possible unless enhanced by special equipment or skills to interfere with information. Usually, one can detect the levels and approximate stats of characters lower than themselves.

Doris’s level happens to be 50, and if she cannot assess them, it means the enemy’s level is above 50.

Luo Bo took a moment to evaluate the strength of their side: “Including myself and the Demon King, there are probably fewer than ten monsters above that level!”

As for the total number of troops: all the combat-ready monsters on our side barely amount to three thousand, while the enemy’s total numbers reach as high as ten thousand…!

“That’s why Yui is drawing these magical arrays,”

Yui said, pointing to the many lines in the hall, “This is the ‘Interdimensional Summoning Array’ used to summon monsters from parallel worlds.”

Summoning magic, huh?

Such skills not only require a large amount of magical energy but also come with the uncertainty of whether the summoned monsters are actually what you want. Although looking at the current magical array, it certainly could summon strong monsters, there’s the risk that they could have a vicious nature or betray us and become enemies—then we would be the ones in trouble!

Luo Bo carefully considered various possibilities and pros and cons and still did not agree with such a risky approach.

“What if we requested the assistance of the Supreme King? For example, the Dragon King from the East or the Beastfolk King and the Dragon tribe from the West joining the battle…”

Thus, he proposed a more stable approach.

The Dragon King, although proud and reckless, would at least not stoop to such disgraceful acts as betrayal—he is quite concerned about his reputation.

As for the Beastfolk King, he is lazy and indifferent; however, due to his simple-mindedness, he is unlikely to harbor any sinister intentions.”Dragon King… that guy is a masochist and has his eyes on Demon King Yui. However, because of this, he might be easier to manipulate by the Demon King.

Moreover, the territories of the aforementioned races are all adjacent to the Demon King’s land, so perhaps…

‘No,’

Before Luo Bo could finish his thoughts, his proposal was instantly vetoed by Demon King Yui: ‘This move would cause all four races to go to war at the same time, and it could easily turn into a repeat of five hundred years ago…’

A multi-race alliance and declaration of war—the Sidoa Great War. The negative impacts from that battle have yet to be completely resolved, and the price of turning 657,700 square miles into a battlefield couldn’t be restored even after five hundred years.

(Note: This is approximately equal to 148 million square kilometers, roughly the total land area of Earth. If that’s difficult to comprehend, just imagine it as all the nations on our seven continents going to war!)

‘This is a battle between the Demon Clan and the humans, unrelated to other races.’

Yui wanted to avoid battle as much as possible; if conflict was unavoidable, then at least she aimed to minimize the damage.

Luo Bo understood her determination and felt it was not his place to speak further. Moreover, Yui’s concerns had their reasoning and validity; it indeed wasn’t prudent to act recklessly.

He lowered his head in silence, showing compliance with the king’s decision.

‘Father, evacuate all demons within half a mile of this hall as the center.’

‘Why? All our demons wish to serve you and fight alongside you…’

‘It’s not that.’ Realizing Luo Bo misunderstood her intent, Yui quickly explained: ‘This summoning array consists of six hundred sixty-six magic circles; however, with my magic power limit, I can only provide enough power for about three hundred of them.’

In other words, it would be impossible for Yui to summon enough with her own strength.

‘But that’s okay. I have the skill that can gather and absorb the magic power in the air— “Nebuchadnezzar II”.’

‘You mean… you want to absorb the magic power from the air within half a mile to supply the energy for the other three hundred magic circles?’

‘Yes, that’s why I need you to evacuate. Otherwise, the magic power of the demons might also be affected by me.’

After hearing this, Luo Bo nodded in understanding.

Just as he was about to step out of the hall, he thought of a strange point: ‘Since you can absorb magic power, why not directly absorb the enemy’s magic and make them retreat?’

‘This skill doesn’t have the effect of “absorbing the magic power within another person’s body.”’

‘Then why do the demons need to evacuate?’

‘Just in case. After all, I’m using this skill for the first time and can’t guarantee there won’t be any accidents. It’s better to be safe and evacuate to avoid any unnecessary effects.’

‘Understood.’

Once Luo Bo understood the reasoning, he immediately exited the hall, closed the door, and quickly ordered the demons nearby to distance themselves.

After confirming there were no demon presences nearby, Yui activated the magic array.

The magic power surged between the various magic circles, and she pricked the tip of her index finger with a small dagger, letting a drop of blood fall into the array beneath her feet.”(Cecidit in infernum.)

“Those who have fallen into the underworld, I shall summon you from the unknown.”

(Te Venit ad latus meum et, Audire ad me.)

“From that realm to this one, respond to my incantation and come forth according to my wishes.”

(Dedicationem ad vos omnes, respondere mea.)

“Present all your powers and knowledge to me, and respond from the depths of that distant place.”

The six hundred sixty-six magic circles simultaneously emitted light without fail, resonating with each other and releasing waves that seemed capable of distorting space.

The magic power used for the summoning equated to giving to the other party, meaning that the magic power being released now no longer belonged solely to Yui. Because of this, her petite body was bearing the immense pressure of this magic power, causing her to breathe somewhat heavily.

(Realem superficie, veniat.)

“Begin to manifest your true form completely and descend before me.”

(Ego, Diaboli nomen, Lupamarai, aperire.)

“In the name of the Demon King, I, Lupamoroy, shall open the pathway that connects you and me.”

The distorted space cracked open, creating a deep fissure, from which a powerful force rivaling that of the Demon King was unleashed.

The black light surged upwards, even piercing through the hall to reach the skyline, the Inverted Cross’s pitch-black glow seemed to stab directly into the roof of the Demon King Castle.

(Veniat, regia diabolus!)

“Descend, oh being of the underworld from the other world!”

Within the light, a pair of jet-black wings unfurled, pushing aside the light gate. As the gate expanded, space itself seemed to shift to the sides. Is this the summoning technique of a Demon King? Ignoring the constraints of time and space, summoning a high existence from another world into this one.

Time appeared to freeze, and both Yui and the other party could only quietly gaze at each other.

Were they assessing one another? Or were they both intimidated by each other’s presence?

“……”

It was clear that only Yui was intimidated.

What left Yui at a loss for words was not the power of the summoner, nor was it any strange appearance… but rather her eyes.

The pair of eyes, dazzling like rubies, seemed bright and attentive, yet from those seemingly spirited eyes, no emotions could be felt.”You…”

Yui wanted to say something, but she couldn’t find her voice, as if she were facing an unfathomable abyss.

The summoned girl gently played with her gray-purple long hair and sighed impatiently, “Little One, did you summon me?”

“Huh?”

“It seems there’s no one else here, so I can only guess.” The summoner said, “How unfortunate to be summoned by a Little One who barely reaches my waist.”

“I’m not Little One, I’m Lupamoroy!” The Demon King insisted fervently.

“Yes, yes, yes, Lupamoroy… What a tongue-twister!”

The girl suddenly spread her bat-like wings and announced her true name at a volume loud enough for the entire hall to hear: “I am Ren Orias, the Trueblood Princess of the Nether Envoy.”

“Nether Envoy?”

“‘Nether Envoy’ is the official title, but humans from another world call us ‘Demons.’”

“Demon Princess… huh?”

Demon King Yui looked her up and down.

Rather than the noble elegance typical of princesses, there was more of an aura of mystery and darkness. Though there were elements of nobility and grace, her pure black attire, replete with pure white lace, patterns of crosses, and adorned with splashes of bright red, even featuring coffin-shaped pendants, made it hard not to think of death.

In simpler terms, it’s the EGL style, isn’t it? That is, Elegant Gothic Lolita.

“Yes, Princess,” Ren Orias explained, “the sister of the Demon King.”

“Yui actually has a sister!?”

“…”

Another deep sigh escaped her lips.

Am I really being summoned by such a foolish brat? What is this, a foolish test O for summoning beasts?—She simply couldn’t believe that this little idiot was the summoner.

“I exist in a different time and space than you. In my world, ‘Demon King’ refers to the ‘Demon King of Demons,’ not the ‘Demon King of the Demon Clan.’”

“The sister of the Demon King of Demons… that sounds impressive!”

“What are you, the Demon King, admiring!?”Ren felt that she had definitely been summoned by a strange individual.

The headquarters of the religious organization “Yeloin Church” was a Great Cathedral capable of accommodating sixty thousand people, built in Baroque architecture, with no color other than pure white.

One of those tasked with eliminating the Demon King was the Yeloin Church, which possessed both a religious order and a knightly order, and held a lofty position in religion.

Pope Gregory IX sat on the holy throne within the cathedral, gripping the armrests with a grave expression.

It wasn’t due to concerns about the army’s battle situation; in fact, the Pope originally intended to abandon the crusade. “Eliminating the Demon King” was merely an excuse to wipe out Simon Peter’s influence. If successful, the reputation of the Yeloin Church… the Pope’s fame would definitely spread far and wide, causing the number of followers to increase like mushrooms after rain, thus acquiring even greater rights and resources! If they failed, Simon Peter dying in battle would still suit the Pope’s interests, as it would rid him of a threat to his power; if Simon Peter survived but retreated, then she would be executed on charges of “violating chivalry,” “betraying doctrine,” “deserting in the face of the enemy,” or “disregarding military orders.”

Then why was the Pope anxiously gripping the armrests?

“Report! The frontline has collapsed! The enemy has breached the Holy Wall and entered the Holy Great Courtyard!”

The reason for this anxious grip was the sound of urgent messages.

“Who would have thought that such a mere Blood Clan could…?” The Pope was nearly driven mad with anger. “What are you fools doing? Can’t a proper army of twenty thousand hold back a single enemy? Have you forgotten the grace of the gods?””Have you forgotten the honor of being a knight and a believer? Under no circumstances should the enemy be allowed to step into this holy cathedral!”

“Y-yes…!”

Ψ Ψ Ψ

At the Saint Yeloin Great Cathedral, in the Holy Great Courtyard (Forecourt).

The sacred and pure white floor tiles were stained blood red, as soldiers faced a single enemy, and the two thousand troops fell one by one.

“No… no! This is too strong! Ahhh–!” “Flee! Run for your lives!” “Ahhhhhhhh–!” “Is that… is that the Supreme King?”

With each utterance of despair, the morale of the Saint Yeloin troops plummeted to the ground.

The military commanders fled in all directions, resulting in a chaotic and headless army, losing all sense of command.

People are like this; only those at the bottom fear nothing, for they have nothing left to lose. However, those who climb to higher positions often begin to fear for their lives.

Even if the soldiers were determined to face death, how could they effectively defeat the enemy without unified command, especially when the enemy was not a mere opponent?

“Don’t you think red and white go quite well together?” the enemy asked the disordered army.

Of course, everyone was in chaos, and no one paid attention to this question. The enemy felt somewhat dissatisfied with this.

She casually grabbed a hapless soldier, tightly twisting his neck like she was holding a kitten: “So, what do you think? Beautiful, isn’t it?”

“N-no! Please… spare me! No!”

“Ah, yes, you think so too, right? It really is beautiful, isn’t it?”

As she said this, the hapless soldier’s neck crumpled like a crushed plastic bottle, the radius instantly disappearing to zero.

“Don’t come any closer!” “Help me, save me!–” “God, why are you doing this to me? Why…?”“Ahhhhhhh——!”

The holy realm had descended into hell.

The hymns and prayers had vanished, replaced by curses and wails of despair.

However, the Supreme King took delight in the chaos, as if engaged in an exceedingly fun game: “Come play with me! Let’s see who can make a hole in the other first!”

“Don’t! Who are you? Why are you doing this to me? No! No no no no no no no no no no no—!”

In the face of the collapsing, irrational saint, the Supreme King smiled.

“Me?”

She floated into the night sky, blocking the moonlight.

“The King of the Blood Clan—Sheryl Valyan Stelagis!”
