After a week had passed, an unexpected guest arrived at “kilig” during the night.
At the reception, Lán Líng welcomed the person. Ever since the incident with Ting Wan, where another generous female client was received, she had no reason to complain anymore. The sign “Reception for Female Clients” was put up at “kilig,” just as planned, and it indeed attracted a fresh batch of curious female clients. Rumor has it that Kevin next door found out and threw a big fit.
“Welcome to ‘kilig,'” Lán Líng bowed and was pleasantly surprised to see the visitor. “Ah, it’s Miss Chi.”
Chi Jianyue’s gaze wandered inside the shop, not intentionally, but she easily spotted Ting Wan’s figure. The woman was dressed differently today, more in line with the style of the nightlife. She wore a strapless corset and a high-waisted chiffon skirt, her porcelain-white skin as smooth as jade. She sat among a group of customers, holding a glass of wine, with an expression that seemed premeditated, a gentle smile set in place. Her gaze, no matter who it fell upon, was focused and serious.
Lán Líng followed Chi Jianyue’s gaze and smiled knowingly before speaking, “I’ll go and get Ting Wan Mama for you.”
“No need, I’ll be fine on my own.”
After confirming multiple times that Chi Jianyue really didn’t need any company, Lán Líng led her to a quiet corner. Although this request was unheard of at “kilig,” she explained it as perhaps just a quirk of the wealthy.
“Open a bottle of Louis XIII and put it on Ting Wan Mama’s tab.”
“Of course, please wait a moment.”
During the wait, Chi Jianyue noticed the man next to Ting Wan wrapping his arm around her waist. She averted her gaze and absentmindedly opened her phone.
After a while, the drink was brought over, accompanied by a familiar fragrance. Chi Jianyue looked up to see Ting Wan gracefully taking a seat, a smile playing on her lips. “Is Jianyue here at ‘kilig’ just to play on her phone?”
“Why did you come?”
Upon hearing that, Ting Wan furrowed her brows, her eyes filled with a hint of resentment. “Jianyue, don’t you want to see me?”
Chi Jianyue almost denied it, but then realized that she didn’t need to respond. The woman was quite good at finding excuses. “Since Jianyue ordered such an expensive drink, as the Mama-san, I had to come and express my gratitude to the benefactor.”
“I came to look for the earring I lost last time.”
“Oh, is that so?” Ting Wan didn’t expose her, “That earring is being kept at the front desk. I’ll give it to you when you leave. My apologies for not giving you my business card last time.”
As she spoke, Ting Wan reached into her handbag and pulled out a business card, handing it to Chi Jianyue. The card had a white tulip pattern and Ting Wan’s name and phone number handwritten on it.
“This way, if Jianyue forgets something next time, you don’t have to make a special trip and spend money,” she said.
The woman’s skill in maneuvering social situations was impressive. Chi Jianyue seemed to understand why Zhuang Xiao had said that “kilig” would never lack customers.
The table was low, and when Ting Wan slightly leaned forward to grab a wet towel, her cl❤avage unavoidably caught Chi Jianyue’s eye. She noticed a butterfly tattoo on Ting Wan’s chest. Normally, when she stood straight, the butterfly was concealed beneath the fabric, only visible from this particular angle. Chi Jianyue quickly averted her gaze before Ting Wan turned around, feeling a bit confused about her own behavior.
The owner of the tattoo seemed completely unaware. Chi Jianyue couldn’t help but wonder if everyone else at “kilig,” sitting at the same low tables, had also seen the same sight. Her emotions became complex, unsure if it was a sense of disappointment as a fellow woman or something else.
Ting Wan wiped the girl’s hands without receiving any resistance, feeling somewhat surprised. She still remembered how resistant the girl had been to any physical contact during her previous visit to the shop. Finding it amusing, Ting Wan deliberately took a glass of alcohol and leaned closer, offering it to Chi Jianyue’s lips.
Chi Jianyue’s long lashes fluttered as she watched Ting Wan drink. So Ting Wan took a green grape and fed it to her. The girl’s plump, moist red lips parted slightly, teeth biting into the grape, her lips touching Ting Wan’s fingers, her breath gently warming them.
Ting Wan let go, her smile still present on her face, while Chi Jianyue’s gaze remained fixed on her, filled with curiosity.
This time, it was Ting Wan who seemed a bit less natural.
