Ting Wan poured the wine and handed the glass to Chi Jianyue with both hands. In that moment, her body almost pressed against Chi Jianyue, and the scent of her perfume wafted to Chi Jianyue’s nose, creating an intimate and almost intoxicating proximity.

Chi Jianyue was not accustomed to being this close to someone. She subtly moved away, glancing around and noticing that all the other customers were men. It became clear to her that Ting Wan was treating her just like any other customer.

On the surface, they were running a legitimate business, providing services that were just on the edge. But who knows what was really happening behind the scenes?

As she pondered in her mind, she quickly finished her drink, and Ting Wan naturally refilled it to the same level.

“Why is Jianyue here alone?” Ting Wan asked.

Chi Jianyue certainly couldn’t say that she had originally planned to come with a friend but ended up in the wrong place. Zhuang Xiao still hadn’t contacted her, probably too busy having their own fun. So she simply replied, “I’m not in a good mood. I just wanted to find a quiet place by myself.”

The implied meaning was clear – no need for further conversation. Ting Wan sensibly kept her mouth shut. She relaxed her posture, sitting upright in the plush sofa, a combination of delicate fragility and elegant poise that seemed impossible to achieve.

The glass Ting Wan gave to Chi Jianyue was slightly smaller than the ones given to other customers. For every drink Chi Jianyue had, Ting Wan would accompany her with a drink of her own. She poured the wine, wiped the glass, and even offered to feed her fruits – though Chi Jianyue politely declined. The string of services provided was incredibly attentive.

“Excuse me, Ting Wan Mama,” a regular customer approached, specifically requesting Ting Wan’s service. Ting Wan apologized and said, “I’ll be right there.” She then called over another hostess to keep Chi Jianyue company.

Chi Jianyue waved her hand, indicating that she understood. The new hostess was talkative, and Chi Jianyue half-listened to her while her eyes unconsciously followed the woman’s movements. She watched as Ting Wan sat down with the customer, exchanging words with a charming smile, but they didn’t get as close as before.

After a short while, Ting Wan returned. “Sorry for the wait,” she said. She noticed that the wine bottle had been emptied a bit more compared to when she left, and she subtly furrowed her brow. “You shouldn’t drink so quickly. Your stomach might feel uncomfortable if you drink too fast.”

Chi Jianyue finally understood that their job was all about serving people, even pretending to care about the customers’ health like a mother would. The latter was, in fact, connected to the former – all part of the art of pleasing.

She raised an eyebrow, adopting a teasing tone with a hint of playfulness. “Ting Wan… Mama?”

A faint blush appeared on Ting Wan’s cheeks, and her eyes glistened like they held some secret. She was leaning back in the sofa, wearing a wine-red strapless mini dress. The position made her ample cl❤avage even more pronounced, and under the dazzling lights of the bar, her exposed fair skin and necklace glistened. It became difficult to determine who was more radiant.

Ting Wan lowered her gaze, politely avoiding the suggestive scene. She seemed to have not heard Chi Jianyue’s flirtatious remark and took a seat beside her, asking in response, “Did you come here to drown your sorrows after a breakup?”

In the bar, customers like Chi Jianyue were a common sight for Ting Wan. She knew them well.

Chi Jianyue disliked the way Ting Wan seemed to have all the answers, her smile never wavering. Determined not to be outdone, she retorted, “Only others can get me drunk.”

“I believe so,” Ting Wan replied, her eyes narrowing in agreement. As Chi Jianyue spoke, Ting Wan’s gaze remained tender and focused, her affectionate demeanor enticing and captivating.

Chi Jianyue felt a bit dizzy, her eyes filled with confusion. “Are you like this with everyone?”

“What do you mean?” Ting Wan’s smile grew more intense. As she moved closer, a unique fragrance enveloped Chi Jianyue, leaving her breathless.

And then she leaned in…

Chi Jianyue’s tolerance for alcohol couldn’t compare to Ting Wan, who spent every night in the nightlife scene. Moreover, Ting Wan’s glass was even smaller than hers. Without giving an answer, Chi Jianyue turned her head to breathe in some fresh air, her lips involuntarily parting, glistening with a layer of liquid.

“Feeling dizzy?” Ting Wan’s finger caressed her temple, gently applying pressure. Chi Jianyue squinted her eyes, feeling as comfortable as a well-petted stuffed cat. Her head instinctively leaned closer; she was definitely feeling intoxicated.

“Ting Wan Mama…” one of the hostesses sitting across from them exclaimed in a hushed voice. Ting Wan always knew how to maintain appropriate boundaries with others, keeping a certain distance. Was this special treatment because she was a female customer? Some other customers had already started to take notice.

Ting Wan didn’t stop her actions, instead making a hushing gesture, signaling not to disturb Chi Jianyue.
