The next day, Ting Wan was the first to wake up. She looked around and immediately recognized that she was in Chi Jianyue’s house. The owner of the house was leaning against her shoulder, sleeping deeply and peacefully.

Ting Wan carefully moved her arm, maintaining a gentle and cautious demeanor. The air conditioning in the room kept the temperature comfortable, and she tucked the covers around Chi Jianyue.

A simple bowl of clear noodle soup with a fried egg on top. When Chi Jianyue picked up her chopsticks, her hand trembled uncontrollably. She sneakily glanced at Ting Wan, who was looking down at her bowl of noodles, unaware of the tremor. Chi Jianyue sighed in relief, not understanding why she felt so guilty… perhaps she didn’t want to appear so useless.

Ting Wan was skilled in cooking, and Chi Jianyue, who usually paid attention to her figure and had a picky palate, unconsciously finished her meal. When she came back out, Chi Jianyue was sitting cross-legged on the sofa, lost in thought. Ting Wan looked at her sleepwear and asked, “Where are my… clothes from yesterday?”

Chi Jianyue seemed to snap out of a deep sleep. “I washed them and hung them up to dry.” She pointed to the balcony and then asked, “Are you going out?”

Ting Wan looked at her with a half-smile. “Jianyue, you’re on summer break and don’t have classes, but ‘kilig’ is still open every day.”

So early… Chi Jianyue thought about how much alcohol the woman had consumed just yesterday. The thought of continuing tonight didn’t sit well with her, but she still said, “There are new clothes in the wardrobe of the guest bedroom. I haven’t worn them. You can pick one you like and change into it first.”

Ever since she started college, Chi Jianyue rarely went back home. Most of the time, she lived here alone, using the guest bedroom occasionally when Zhuang Xiao came over. The guest room was clean and tidy, and Ting Wan didn’t question why she ended up sleeping with her last night despite having a guest room. After changing her clothes and coming out, Chi Jianyue handed her the bag with a hesitant expression.

“Jianyue, you don’t have to come to ‘kilig’ every day. Drinking too much alcohol is not good for your health, and besides… you don’t even drink,” Ting Wan said, suppressing the retort that was about to slip out.
