In a short period of time, Chi Jianyue had become a regular at ‘kilig’. All the staff in the store remembered her because she would come almost every day and order the most expensive drinks without needing any hostess to accompany her—except for Ting Wan Mama. However, Ting Wan was always too busy, so most of the time, Chi Jianyue would sit alone in a corner.

The intention was so obvious that no one could misunderstand that she came for Ting Wan. Yet, Ting Wan seemed indifferent, and her attitude was unpredictable.

She treated Chi Jianyue like any other customer, spending a few moments at her table, providing impeccable and gentle service without any flaws. She even indulged Chi Jianyue to some extent. But in reality, Ting Wan was colder towards Chi Jianyue than any other customer. After all, it was rare for a Mama-san to neglect their biggest patron most of the time.

“Jianyue seems to be in high spirits lately. Coming here every day to take care of the ‘kilig’ business.” Only for a short while each day, Ting Wan would find time to sit next to Chi Jianyue, emanating a familiar and unique fragrance.

Chi Jianyue despised Ting Wan’s unchanging expression, and she hated herself for waiting every day for such a short amount of time, feeling as absurd as a concubine waiting to be favored.

She could clearly see that Ting Wan was neglecting her, but when Ting Wan actually sat beside her, gazing at her tenderly, it seemed as if Chi Jianyue was the only person in her eyes.

Ting Wan would affectionately wipe Chi Jianyue’s hands, feed her fruits, and worryingly remind her to slow down when she drank too quickly. She would even let Chi Jianyue lie in her embrace when she got drunk, gently massaging her temples to help her feel better.

Whenever Chi Jianyue sat alone in the corner, feeling sad as she watched Ting Wan happily interacting with others at different tables, she would get lost in the tenderness Ting Wan showed her, unable to distinguish between what was real and what was fake.

Being someone who had always been adored and possessed a proud personality, Chi Jianyue couldn’t accept being easily controlled by someone. But even when she threw a tantrum, Ting Wan would still smile and indulge her, as if punching into cotton and feeling a sense of powerlessness.

No matter what requests, big or small, intimate or excessive, Chi Jianyue made, Ting Wan would always agree. Instead of feeling satisfied with Ting Wan’s compliance, Chi Jianyue found herself trapped in self-doubt.

Even in this moment, when Ting Wan asked a question, Chi Jianyue didn’t understand if she genuinely didn’t know or if it was intentional. She didn’t answer, but simply waved her hand and ordered a few more bottles of alcohol. Then she turned to look at Ting Wan and said, “Can I buy your time tonight, Ting Wan Mama?”

With a faint smile on her lips and bright eyes, Chi Jianyue no longer avoided Ting Wan’s gaze. Sometimes, even Ting Wan couldn’t understand her intentions. It seemed that only in these moments would she address Ting Wan as “Ting Wan Mama” instead of repeatedly crossing the boundaries with an intimate “Ting Wan.”

This was the best outcome. Ting Wan was momentarily taken aback, then softly replied, “Okay.”

At one in the morning, the last table of customers left, and ‘kilig’ closed early. The staff in the store changed into their regular clothes and went home, leaving Ting Wan behind to settle the accounts and take inventory at the bar.

Her fingertips glided over the bottles of alcohol, and every hanging tag read ‘Chi Jianyue’. There were a few bottles with ‘Ojou-sama’ written by Ting Wan herself. Unconsciously, there was already a whole cabinet filled with alcohol, and not a single bottle had been finished until now.

Chi Jianyue was never good at drinking, and Ting Wan knew it well. She poured the alcohol with precision, making sure each glass was just a sip’s worth. After a few drinks, Chi Jianyue’s face would flush, and a few more sips would make her eyes watery, as if she were about to cry. Sometimes, when she got drunk, she would whimsically ask Ting Wan to hold her, or throw a tantrum. Most of the time, she would lean on the couch, her eyes filled with a sed❤ctive charm, emitting soft moans, and her exposed neck and chest blushing. In these moments, Ting Wan would avert her gaze and skillfully call her friends to pick her up—since a few incidents of getting drunk, she had their phone numbers.

Such a person who couldn’t handle alcohol would come to ‘kilig’ every day.

After smoothly writing down the name and hanging up the new tag, Ting Wan turned off the lights and left the shop.

There was a familiar figure standing by the flower bushes.

“Jianyue…?”

Both the entrance of ‘kilig’ and the ‘Garden’ were filled with flowers, which attracted lingering mosquitoes, despite the insect repellents. Chi Jianyue was waving her hand to shoo away the bugs when she saw Ting Wan come out, and she stopped. “Are you always the last one to leave work?”

Ting Wan approached and noticed the tiny red marks on her exposed skin. Chi Jianyue’s sundress made the marks even more prominent. She frowned and asked, “How long have you been waiting?”

They had agreed to meet after work today, and she thought Chi Jianyue would go to the hotel or head home first, but she didn’t expect to find her waiting at the entrance. Ting Wan wasn’t sure if she had just arrived and hadn’t waited long, or if she hadn’t left at all.

After standing there for a while, with mosquitoes bothering them again, Chi Jianyue didn’t answer. She grabbed Ting Wan’s arm, wanting to quickly escape this place. “Alright, I’m hungry. Take me for a late-night snack.”
