What's Wrong with This Alpha? - Extra 7
Chapter 108 – Extra 7: Pregnancy 4
Newborn babies change dramatically every day.
By the time Duan Yi was practically moldering in the hospital, he and Sheng Yunze’s twin sons had suddenly transformed into two adorable, chubby rice cakes. It felt as miraculous as a Cactusmon evolving into a Floramon.
Their eyes were like black pearls, their lips plump and rosy, and their cheeks round and soft, white and tender. Their eyelashes fanned out like two thick, tiny fans. Though it was too early to tell if their noses would be straight, they looked so much like Sheng Yunze that it was uncanny. It wasn’t any specific feature, but rather a striking resemblance that defied explanation—a spiritual likeness.
After opening their eyes, the brothers were endlessly curious about the world. The elder twin was more docile, crying less and sleeping more, eating and sleeping in a cycle like a little piglet.
The younger twin, however, seemed to have been reincarnated from a suona horn, with lungs of steel. He wailed when hungry, wailed when hot, and wailed when cold. Duan Yi had brought him into this beautiful new world, but the little terror seemed determined to drive his mother out of it.
Thus, Duan Yi’s pitifully meager maternal love lasted only a week.
On the seventh day, driven to the brink by the younger twin’s relentless crying, he thought in utter despair: Is anyone going to take care of this? Will this world ever know peace again?
That night, when Little Bao cried, Duan Yi, who was sleeping beside him, moved his arms and legs, his tiny claws clanging as he flailed. One of his paws brushed Duan Yi’s face, as if searching for food—he was likely hungry.
Duan Yi opened his eyes, bloodshot and shadowed with dark circles. He took a deep breath and joined in the wailing.
Sheng Yunze was jolted awake by the dual lament of the “mother and daughter,” a tragic duet of their miserable lives.
He was sleeping slumped at the edge of the bed when Duan Yi, looking like a spectral figure, whispered, “Take your son away, or he’ll take me away.”
Still half-asleep, Sheng Yunze instinctively patted Duan Yi to quiet him, then reached out to check Little Bao. The baby’s chest and limbs were warm, not cold.
The moment Sheng Yunze touched him, the little one quieted down. It seemed he was just seeking attention; he didn’t appear hungry.
Once awake, Duan Yi couldn’t fall back asleep. He randomly picked up a book titled Why Do Humans Live in This World and stared pensively out the window. “You know…”
Sheng Yunze was dead tired, sitting on a low stool to keep an eye on the two children. He simply wrapped his arms around Duan Yi’s waist, pressed his face against Duan Yi’s abdomen, and prepared to drift back to sleep. Hearing Duan Yi’s voice, he mumbled dismissively, “We’ll talk about it tomorrow.”
Duan Yi glanced down at the dark circles under Sheng Yunze’s eyes, feeling guilty about disturbing his sleep. “I didn’t mean to wake you earlier,” he murmured.
“Mmm…”
He’s not even listening to me, Duan Yi thought, closing his book. His son lay on the left side of the bed, leaving Sheng Yunze squeezed onto the floor.
“Let me sit on the floor. You come up and get some rest,” Duan Yi offered.
“No,” Sheng Yunze mumbled, nuzzling against Duan Yi’s waist. His soft hair, now even softer from being rubbed, looked particularly endearing.
Duan Yi felt his “maternal” hormones surging. He couldn’t help but find Sheng Yunze utterly adorable.
He poked Sheng Yunze’s cheek and began playing with his hair, mimicking the way Sheng Yunze often messed with his own hair. He twirled the slightly long strands around his finger, creating little curls.
Duan Yi was thoroughly enjoying himself, even pinching Sheng Yunze’s earlobe before bursting into laughter.
Sheng Yunze finally opened one eye and glared at him.
Duan Yi’s hand froze. He blinked innocently. “Why aren’t you asleep yet?”
“Do you think I can sleep with your restless hands all over me?” Sheng Yunze retorted sharply.
“Oh!” Duan Yi poked Sheng Yunze’s cheek twice, finally satisfied with his “touching” and withdrew his hand. “Then go to sleep. I won’t bother you anymore.”
Sheng Yunze was already wide awake, but he found it incredibly comforting to be close to Duan Yi.
Although Duan Yi’s Omega pregnancy was over, his pheromones remained remarkably gentle.
The sweet, warm scent of coconut milk enveloped Sheng Yunze’s senses, creating a soothing, sleep-inducing atmosphere.
This time, Duan Yi genuinely refrained from disturbing Sheng Yunze’s sleep. However, he couldn’t fall asleep either. Bored with his phone, he picked up another book from the bedside table.
It wasn’t the philosophical tome Why Do Humans Live in This World? from earlier, but Duan Yi’s favorite type of manga—the kind with lots of pictures and minimal text, perfect for mindless enjoyment.
After reading for a while, Duan Yi felt a sharp discomfort in his chest. He tugged at his collar, glancing down with lowered eyes. His chest felt swollen, hot, and excruciatingly painful.
This wasn’t just tonight’s pain; it had been worsening over the past few days.
Initially, it had been a dull, uncomfortable fullness. But now, even the friction of his clothes against his skin caused agony. Duan Yi had been sitting still all day, trying to minimize the chafing, but the pain persisted.
Too embarrassed to mention the location of the pain, Duan Yi had been silently enduring it.
The moment Sheng Yunze opened his eyes, he saw Duan Yi pulling his collar wide open, staring intently at his own chest.
“What are you looking at?” Sheng Yunze asked abruptly.
Duan Yi startled and quickly closed his collar. Caught red-handed, he didn’t try to hide it. “My chest feels uncomfortable,” he admitted.
Sheng Yunze sat up straight. The hospital bed was higher than the one at home, but Sheng Yunze had somehow procured a small stool to sit on. Leaning forward, his gaze was now level with Duan Yi’s chest.
This man was more adept at action than words.
Without hesitation, he yanked Duan Yi’s collar open again, showing no restraint as he peered inside.
But the dim lighting only revealed Duan Yi’s snow-white skin; the rest was shrouded in shadow.
Duan Yi blushed slightly, mostly because Sheng Yunze’s breath brushed against his skin. He hadn’t been this close to Sheng Yunze in ages, and his body had grown sensitive. He awkwardly pushed Sheng Yunze away.
“Stop staring at me.”
Sheng Yunze replied with a deadpan expression, “What’s wrong with looking? It’s not like I haven’t seen it before. Weren’t you begging me to look back then?”
Duan Yi swore under his breath and quickly clamped a hand over Sheng Yunze’s mouth. “Don’t say such things! We’re not alone anymore…”
He gestured to Sheng Yunze, reminding him that their two sons were present.
“You have the nerve to make such crude jokes in front of our sons?”
Sheng Yunze remained unfazed. “They wouldn’t understand anyway. People don’t remember anything from before they turn three.”
Duan Yi was hearing this for the first time and found it fascinating. “No wonder I can’t remember so much from when I was little! So that’s why…”
As Sheng Yunze unbuttoned Duan Yi’s white hospital gown, revealing the expanse of skin beneath, he retorted, “You’re just plain stupid.”
“What—!” Duan Yi tried to protest being called “stupid,” but Sheng Yunze’s movements were too swift. By the time Duan Yi realized his gown was already unbuttoned, it was too late to stop him.
Sheng Yunze unbuttoned the gown with practiced ease, his fingers brushing against Duan Yi’s chest. Duan Yi cried out in pain, “It really hurts! Could you be gentler?”
Sheng Yunze paused, then looked up at Duan Yi with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
Duan Yi glanced down, his face flushing crimson. “O_O!”
Even through his clothes, it wasn’t very noticeable—besides, who spends their time staring at their own chest? He wasn’t some teenage girl—so Duan Yi genuinely hadn’t realized that his once-flat chest had gradually begun to swell…
Duan Yi was a grown man… well, a grown male Omega. Though his chest felt painfully swollen, he hadn’t bothered to examine it closely.
How could he have known that it wasn’t just swollen, but extremely swollen? The swelling was now quite obvious, and it even emitted a faint milky scent, like the barely developed chest of a young girl, easily cupped in a man’s palm…
He’d already gained a bit of weight recently, and now everything seemed rounder…
“Holy shit, what’s happening?” Duan Yi didn’t dare touch it himself, instinctively turning to Sheng Yunze.
Whenever he faced a problem he couldn’t solve, he would look to Sheng Yunze.
But Sheng Yunze suddenly frowned deeply, making Duan Yi feel a surge of anxiety. “What’s wrong…?”
“It’s nothing serious,” Sheng Yunze said gravely.
Duan Yi was startled by Sheng Yunze’s expression. “Your face doesn’t look like you mean that…”
Sheng Yunze remained utterly calm. “Let me examine you first to determine the cause.”
Duan Yi trusted him implicitly.
The truth was, Duan Yi himself didn’t realize this was simply breast engorgement, a common occurrence after pregnancy. Omegas produce relatively little milk, but some engorgement is perfectly normal.
Duan Yi had been eating exceptionally well recently, making the physical symptoms more pronounced.
Sheng Yunze pressed his hand against Duan Yi’s chest, his touch as pure as if he had no ulterior motives. “Does it hurt when I press here?”
“It hurts just to touch it,” Duan Yi mumbled.
Sheng Yunze explored further, his fingers tracing every curve with intense curiosity. The texture was even more exquisite than he’d imagined—smooth, supple, and almost creamy, like holding warm milk in his hand.
Seeing Sheng Yunze’s focused examination, Duan Yi grew even more embarrassed. Adopting a Hong Kong dubbing accent, he asked, “Doctor, what’s the verdict? Is there any hope for me?”
Sheng Yunze instantly slipped into character. “It’s a tricky case. Let me investigate further.”
Then, without warning, he swept Duan Yi into his arms.
If not for the baby in the room, Duan Yi would have screamed.
He quickly covered his mouth, realizing he was already completely in Sheng Yunze’s arms.
Duan Yi’s bed was clearly unusable, but there was a spare bed beside it—Sheng Yunze’s.
He was abruptly placed on the spare bed, and Duan Yi immediately wrapped his arms around Sheng Yunze’s neck, his eyes curving into crescents as he whispered with a hint of laughter, “Don’t get any ideas…”
Sheng Yunze replied with mock seriousness, “Patients shouldn’t move around. The doctor needs to examine your body now.”
Sheng Yunze’s hands gripped Duan Yi’s waist and chest, making him itch terribly. “No, no, this position is uncomfortable. I need to get up…”
“No,” Sheng Yunze said stubbornly.
He leaned closer, his upper body gradually lowering until he pressed a kiss to Duan Yi’s lips. Duan Yi quickly protested, “No, really, we can’t. This is a hospital. Wait until we get home, wait until we get home…”
Sheng Yunze looked at him. “You don’t want to?”
Duan Yi pressed his lips together, refusing to answer. Then, he swiftly leaned up and whispered in Sheng Yunze’s ear, “Just a little.”
As soon as he said it, the tips of his ears flushed crimson.
Sheng Yunze still hadn’t gotten off him, instead playfully nudging him twice. Duan Yi nearly burst out laughing and tapped Sheng Yunze’s shoulder twice. “You’re going to kill me!”
“I really can’t…” Duan Yi tugged at his hospital gown, trying to pull the sleeve that had slipped down to his wrist back up to his shoulder.
Seeing that Duan Yi was almost fully recovered, Sheng Yunze’s touch grew rough again. He had already stripped the gown halfway off, leaving only the last two buttons hanging precariously.
Duan Yi’s entire upper body was now pressed against Sheng Yunze’s chest.
Duan Yi stared into Sheng Yunze’s eyes.
Sheng Yunze returned his gaze, then his eyes drifted downward, settling on the small mole at the tip of Duan Yi’s nose, then to his lips—full, moist, and slightly parted, revealing a glimpse of pearly white teeth.
The contrast was striking: both pure and alluring.
Why does he look so young? Sheng Yunze thought absently. Duan Yi’s youthful appearance often led people to mistake him for a high school student.
Noticing Sheng Yunze’s silence, Duan Yi leaned closer and whispered in his ear, his voice barely audible and hurried, “I’ll help you… okay?”
He pushed Sheng Yunze away, his eyes sparkling with a hint of embarrassment.
Sheng Yunze raised an eyebrow. “Really?”
Duan Yi nodded.
“Even so, no,” Sheng Yunze replied.
Duan Yi was dumbfounded. “Huh…?”
Sheng Yunze’s hand boldly covered Duan Yi’s chest, giving it an affectionate squeeze.
Duan Yi hissed in pain. Sheng Yunze spoke slowly and deliberately, “Do you know why they’ve gotten bigger?”
Duan Yi shook his head, though he was worried Sheng Yunze, who dared to say anything in bed, might say something like, “Because your husband has been kneading them so much.”
Sheng Yunze lowered his voice. “This is engorgement, you know?”
Duan Yi’s face flushed crimson, and he stammered, unable to finish a sentence.
Sheng Yunze, however, maintained a perfectly serious demeanor. “It means that after an Omega becomes pregnant, their body naturally produces milk. Doctors usually help stimulate lactation, but your case is more complicated. Does it feel very blocked and uncomfortable?”
Duan Yi hesitated before nodding.
“Exactly,” Sheng Yunze grinned, baring his two small, mischievous fangs. “I know a little about massage techniques. I’ll help you.”
He was so proactive and enthusiastic that Duan Yi felt a chill run down his spine, yet he couldn’t pinpoint what was wrong or find a counterargument. He could only weakly reply, “When did you learn massage… I never knew…”
Did I even need to learn it? Sheng Yunze thought. I’m self-taught.
“Mind your own business,” Sheng Yunze retorted, recklessly unbuttoning the remaining two buttons of Duan Yi’s shirt. Afraid Duan Yi might get cold, he wrapped his own coat around him, leaving him shirtless underneath.
Duan Yi’s body was quickly exposed. Sheng Yunze licked his small canine tooth.

In the end, instead of feeling more comfortable, it only hurt worse!
Even now, when Duan Yi recalled the incident, he felt utterly deceived.
Sheng Yunze had gotten his fill of manual pleasure, leaving Duan Yi in pain for an entire day. The next day, his husband mysteriously acquired a set of instructional videos, confidently declaring that this time the techniques would be absolutely correct.
Of course, Sheng Yunze was pure bluff, and Duan Yi fell for it again.
This time, Sheng Yunze didn’t just use his hands—he used his mouth too, leaving Duan Yi’s chest covered in bite marks that took over two weeks to fade completely.
Later, the throbbing pain in Duan Yi’s chest definitely wasn’t from milk engorgement. It was purely from Sheng Yunze’s antics. Why is this cat so curious? he wondered. Why is he so obsessed with my chest? It’s been non-stop since high school!
Duan Yi was on the verge of losing his mind.
The day they were discharged from the hospital was beautiful. The twins were immediately taken to their nursery at home and fell asleep.
Exhausted, Duan Yi took a shower and collapsed into bed, sleeping like the dead. When he woke up, he felt completely refreshed. After eating, he rushed to the nursery to check on his sons.
Big Bao and Little Bao were incredibly adorable now, and Duan Yi felt his “motherly instincts” surging again. Turning to Sheng Yunze, he asked, “Have you named them yet?”
Sheng Yunze had been flipping through dictionaries for months without settling on a name. Duan Yi poked Big Bao’s cheek, gazed at the sunset outside, and said thoughtfully, “Maybe I should name them.”
“Have you decided?” Sheng Yunze asked.
Duan Yi nodded, reciting poetically, “Across the wall, atop the horse, our eyes meet from afar—one glance, and my heart breaks.”
Sheng Yunze raised an eyebrow, thinking, My wife’s quite the romantic, even quoting poetry.
He carefully recited the two lines in his mind for a year, trying to choose a name: Should we call them Yao, Jun, or Gu?
But Duan Yi completely defied expectations, declaring decisively, “Since today’s sunset is so bright, let’s name them Sheng Ming and Sheng Xi!”
Sheng Yunze: ……
Duan Yi turned his head. “What’s wrong?”
Sheng Yunze: “Does that have anything to do with the poetry you just recited?”
Duan Yi looked genuinely cheerful. “Nope!”
Sheng Yunze: “Then why did you recite it?”
Duan Yi blushed sheepishly. “I thought reciting a couple of lines of poetry would make me seem more cultured, you know, mysterious and impressive.”
Sheng Yunze: ……
Knowing Sheng Yunze was probably mentally roasting him again, Duan Yi turned away and spoke only to his children. “You’ll be Mingbao, and you’ll be Xibao…”
As he gently patted Sheng Ming and Sheng Xi, his mind drifted to another matter: Now that the babies are born, should we finally get married?
Duan Yi’s thoughts grew increasingly fanciful. Should I give Sheng Yunze a romantic proposal? One he’ll never forget, where he’s crying and begging to marry me for the rest of his life?
