Chapter 114 – Extra 13: Little Duan’s Time Travel

“What time is it…?”

Duan Yi was dead tired, but the thought that his first class of the morning was with the Homeroom Teacher jolted him awake for a moment.

Ultimately, he couldn’t fight off the drowsiness and drifted back to sleep.

Before falling asleep, he reached under his pillow to feel for his phone.

The dorm beds at Second High School were tiny, and his bed was right by the window, directly under the air conditioner, with only a fist-sized gap between the bed and the wall. The headboard was just an iron railing, so if he wasn’t careful, his phone could easily slip off the pillow and fall.

Since Duan Yi slept on the top bunk, a fall meant certain destruction for his phone.

This had led him to develop a habit: every morning, the first thing he consciously did was reach under his pillow to feel for his phone.

This morning, as soon as Duan Yi reached under his pillow, he immediately sensed something was wrong.

Something was blocking his hand’s progress.

Warm…

Like a human body.

Duan Yi’s heart skipped a beat, and he instantly snapped awake.

He opened his eyes to find an enlarged human face looming inches away. The proximity was so close that Duan Yi couldn’t even tell if it was male or female.

Even at this close range, Duan Yi couldn’t spot a single flaw on the face. The person had long eyelashes and red lips. Is it a woman?

Holy shit?!

Duan Yi snapped awake instantly. Without a moment’s hesitation, he shoved Sheng Yunze away with a violent push, nearly screaming, “Who the hell are you?! What are you doing in my dorm? When did you crawl into my bed?!”

The force of the shove jolted Sheng Yunze awake.

For a brief moment, his mind went blank. He blinked groggily, staring at Duan Yi with unfocused eyes.

Two figures.

One on the left side of the bed, the other on the right.

They stared at each other.

It took Sheng Yunze a long time for his memories to slowly return.

Not just the past twenty years, but also the events of yesterday…

He recalled Jiang Wangshu’s diagnosis of amnesia. But that wasn’t entirely accurate. Their research institute had discovered a new substance capable of interfering with the human brain, allowing for the arbitrary alteration of memories.

The discovery had sent the entire institute into a frenzy. Sheng Yunze, as the project’s lead researcher, had been closely monitoring its progress. The day before yesterday, while removing his protective suit after work, he’d carelessly gotten a tiny speck of the substance on himself. The stuff was incredibly potent and fast-acting; even the slightest exposure guaranteed infection.

Sheng Yunze had previously been researching whether this substance could spread through human hosts.

Now, seeing Duan Yi’s shocked expression and the inexplicable “high school energetic girl” vibe—well, actually, it was more of a cluelessly cute vibe—he knew: this substance did spread through human hosts.

Duan Yi’s gaze was strangely innocent, exactly like the look Sheng Yunze had seen when they first met. He remembered that Duan Yi had been in his third year of junior high back then.

“You—” Duan Yi began, pointing at Sheng Yunze.

He kept pointing for a while, as if the reality were too surreal. He might have even found Sheng Yunze vaguely familiar, judging by the hesitation in his eyes.

Duan Yi swallowed hard and whispered, “Am I still dreaming?”

He felt a sudden urge to lie back down. And that’s exactly what he did, obediently pulling the covers over himself. “How could I dream about a man? And he looks so familiar…”

He looks like that Sheng Yunze from my class…

Duan Yi closed his eyes, thinking.

Second High School had just started the new semester, and he hadn’t yet memorized the faces of all his classmates.

But Duan Yi had a very clear impression of Sheng Yunze’s face.

One reason was that Sheng Yunze was the League Branch Secretary, making them colleagues. Their shared responsibilities for distributing books and materials in class meant they interacted frequently, which helped him remember Sheng Yunze’s face.

Another reason was simply that Sheng Yunze was exceptionally handsome—so handsome that his face was unforgettable.

Muttering to himself, Duan Yi buried his face in his pillow, still talking: “Why would I dream about him… That’s so weird…”

And his dream seemed to have taken liberties with reality. He clearly remembered Sheng Yunze being the same age as him, still a high school student.

But the person he’d just seen was clearly an adult…

Sheng Yunze watched his wife deceive himself into falling back asleep.

Then, amused, he crossed his arms and observed Duan Yi with leisurely interest.

As expected, two minutes later, Duan Yi jolted awake, leaping up as if he’d been electrocuted.

“Holy shit! It wasn’t a dream!”

Sheng Yunze gave him a strained smile. “Well, your dream was quite beautiful.”

Duan Yi: “=口=! Beautiful my ass! Who are you, Uncle?!”

A vein twitched on Sheng Yunze’s forehead.

“Uncle… Uncle…?”

The corner of Sheng Yunze’s mouth twitched.

It wasn’t Duan Yi’s fault; he had just graduated from middle school and still instinctively called adults in their twenties “Uncle.”

Not only did Duan Yi call him “Uncle,” but he also scrambled out of bed, his eyes darting around the room with suspicion. He suddenly realized he didn’t recognize the place at all.

An unfamiliar bed, an unfamiliar window, an unfamiliar ceiling, unfamiliar furnishings…

Wait a minute… Why does this scene feel so familiar?

Countless thoughts raced through Duan Yi’s mind.

The most pressing one was: I’ve been kidnapped!

Life has finally come for this handsome guy!

For someone like Duan Yi, born into a wealthy family, being kidnapped was practically a routine occurrence.

Duan Shaoheng had been kidnapped as a child. The kidnappers eventually returned him, complaining he was too annoying. The incident was so absurdly comical that it even made the news on 1818 Golden Eye.

Duan Yi had often teased Duan Shaoheng about his kidnapping ordeal, and Duan Shaoheng would retort, “At least they kidnapped me! If they’d kidnapped you, you’d have eaten them into bankruptcy!”

After Duan Shaoheng’s kidnapping, the number of bodyguards protecting Duan Yi tripled.

He had a security company dedicated solely to protecting him, providing services exclusively for Duan Yi.

Given such tight security, how could Sheng Yunze kidnap him so silently and without a trace? Duan Yi’s gaze toward Sheng Yunze suddenly became tense.

Is he… incredibly powerful?

Sheng Yunze took a long time to digest the word “Uncle.”

Gritting his teeth, he forced out a smile that was both furious and itching with irritation. “What are you looking at?”

Duan Yi hesitated before cautiously asking, “Did you kidnap me?”

Sheng Yunze’s face turned cold. “Yes, and I’m about to demand ransom.”

Duan Yi: “=口=! Don’t come any closer! I know martial arts!”

Sheng Yunze was infuriated by Duan Yi’s words. When he reached out, Duan Yi grabbed his ankle.

Duan Yi was terrified, but the strength difference between an Omega and an Alpha was vast. Moreover, he realized that while his mind fiercely resisted Sheng Yunze’s touch, his body was far more honest.

The moment Sheng Yunze touched him, Duan Yi’s entire body went limp, involuntarily yearning to burrow into Sheng Yunze’s arms.

What the hell?!

What’s happening?!

Sheng Yunze simply yanked Duan Yi by the leg and dragged him into his arms.

Duan Yi was completely bewildered as the Alpha pulled him into a full embrace. Surprisingly, it felt… quite comfortable.

Sheng Yunze threatened him fiercely, “Are you going to let me hold you?”

Duan Yi struggled violently in his arms. “No! I won’t!”

Sheng Yunze deliberately tickled his ticklish spots. “Then I’ll start tearing up the ransom right now.”

Duan Yi burst into laughter. “Hahahaha… No, stop tickling me!”

He began rolling around the bed to escape Sheng Yunze.

The bed wasn’t that big, making it easy for Sheng Yunze to catch him. Duan Yi soon realized he couldn’t escape no matter how hard he tried, and any resistance only resulted in being violently subdued.

Completely exhausted from playing and laughing, Duan Yi collapsed onto the bed. Sheng Yunze wrapped him in the blanket like a spring roll, pulling him into his arms.

“Huff…” Duan Yi gasped for breath. “I’m done playing. I surrender. Tear up the ransom.”

Sheng Yunze chuckled coldly. “What? Not afraid of your kidnapper anymore?”

Duan Yi glanced at him and snorted. “I’m not an idiot.”

After all the commotion, even a fool could see that Sheng Yunze harbored no ill intentions toward him and hadn’t actually kidnapped him.

Of course, the main reason was the photo on the bedside table—a picture of himself and Sheng Yunze. In the photo, he was also an adult. Duan Yi’s mind couldn’t process it; he couldn’t make sense of it. When they stopped, he hesitantly asked, “Did I… transmigrate?”

Sheng Yunze gave him a deep, inscrutable look.

Duan Yi pointed to the photo on the bedside table.

He glanced at himself again. Sure enough, he now looked like a young man.

“Yes,” Sheng Yunze confirmed, releasing him.

“Whoa…” Duan Yi exclaimed, shocked but surprisingly unfazed.

Sheng Yunze immediately understood why. At this age, Duan Yi was still a hot-blooded, delusional fool obsessed with anime about transmigrating to other worlds. He had no trouble accepting the concept of transmigration.

Of course, Sheng Yunze also had his own selfish reasons. After all, he had done many embarrassing things after losing his memory yesterday, and the thought of facing Duan Yi this morning filled him with shame.

But fate had intervened, solving his problem at its root—Duan Yi had also been affected.

“Cool,” Duan Yi said, accepting the situation. He immediately hopped out of bed. “Is this your place or mine?”

He picked up the photo from the bedside table. “We must be pretty close, huh? Our picture’s on the bedside table. Oh right, I still haven’t asked your name.”

Sheng Yunze straightened up, his expression impassive. “Answer my question first.”

Duan Yi, like a curious child, wandered around the room, touching and examining everything. He even pulled back the curtains to peer outside before casually replying, “What question was that?”

“How old are you this year?”

Duan Yi answered without hesitation, “Almost fifteen. Why? Oh, I’m just starting First-Year at Second High School. But since we’re so close, you must already know that, right?”

Almost fifteen?

So he hasn’t turned fifteen yet.

Sheng Yunze recalled that at this time, Duan Yi was likely still in the first semester of First-Year, having just been assigned to his class.

He’s forgotten me? Sheng Yunze felt a prick of annoyance.

“What should I call you, buddy?” Duan Yi, having finished exploring the room, sidled up to Sheng Yunze.

Sheng Yunze remained silent, stewing in his frustration, but Duan Yi didn’t mind. He continued talking to himself, “Actually, the more I look at you, the more you remind me of a classmate from high school.”

“Who?” Sheng Yunze asked, his guard up.

Duan Yi shrugged dismissively. “You wouldn’t know him anyway.”

He flopped back onto the bed, sprawled out with his legs splayed wide, and stared up at the ceiling. “He was a classmate I met in First-Year, our League Branch Secretary. His name was Sheng Yunze.”

Sheng Yunze: ……

After a moment, Sheng Yunze asked, “Your classmate?”

He cleared his throat and, with remarkable audacity, pressed on, “What did you think of him? Your first impression?”

Sheng Yunze had never asked Duan Yi about his first impression, mainly because he figured Duan Yi had probably forgotten. But now, he suddenly found himself intrigued.

“You mean him?” Duan Yi, though appearing to be in his twenties, had an endearingly youthful expression, radiating the carefree spirit of a teenager. His soft features made the expression seem genuine, not contrived, lending him a charmingly naive air.

Sheng Yunze suddenly felt a surge of nervousness. He sat up straight, fixing Duan Yi with a serious gaze, eagerly awaiting his evaluation.

“Secretary Sheng…” Duan Yi pondered for a moment, his brow furrowed in thought. “When I first saw him…”

Sheng Yunze leaned forward slightly. Duan Yi stroked his chin. “I don’t think I felt anything in particular.”

Sheng Yunze pinched Duan Yi’s cheeks, leaving him no time to even utter a “fuck!” before his lips were forced into a pout. Duan Yi saw Sheng Yunze’s face darken with ominous clouds, his voice dripping with cold menace as he spat out, “Think carefully before you speak, Duan Yi.”

Duan Yi suddenly sensed a dominant, almost sadistic aura radiating from Sheng Yunze.

Though he couldn’t fathom why Sheng Yunze was so fixated on his opinion of him, Duan Yi’s animal instincts kicked in. He immediately backtracked, “I remember now! I remember!”

Sheng Yunze released his grip. Duan Yi felt his saliva almost dripping onto Sheng Yunze’s fingers, and a wave of embarrassment washed over him. He wondered if the other man would find him disgusting.

“Let me wipe that for you—”

Before he could finish, Sheng Yunze licked his own finger right in front of him, then… pulled Duan Yi’s… into his mouth.

To be honest, Sheng Yunze was breathtakingly beautiful.

The sheer eroticism of the scene overwhelmed Duan Yi, freezing his mind completely.

Sheng Yunze calmly warned him, “Speak quickly. Think carefully before you speak.”

Duan Yi’s mind was blank. “I…”

His voice trembled, his mind flooded with images of Sheng Yunze licking his fingers—those distinct knuckles, those long, elegant hands, those thin lips, that sharp little canine tooth, that soft, red tongue, and…

“I think… he’s quite handsome,” Duan Yi blurted out, dazed.

Sheng Yunze frowned in displeasure. “Just that?”

Duan Yi nodded, his gaze still tracking the rise and fall of Sheng Yunze’s hand. “You were just—”

He finally snapped back to reality, his scattered thoughts returning to his body, his face flushing crimson.

Sheng Yunze remained unhurried, as if this were perfectly natural. “What about me?”

Duan Yi stammered, “You were… licking… licking… licking…”

Grumble—

His stomach rumbled at the perfect moment.

A few seconds of silence hung in the air.

Sheng Yunze chuckled, and Duan Yi’s face burned even brighter, this time with shame.

“Let’s go get breakfast,” Sheng Yunze said, stepping off the bed.

The mention of food instantly revived Duan Yi, his energy surging back as he forgot everything else. “Where are we going? What’s there to eat?”

This was one of Duan Yi’s strengths: if he couldn’t understand something, he simply stopped thinking about it. If he couldn’t achieve something, he gave up, freeing himself from unnecessary worries.

Duan Yi followed Sheng Yunze, completely forgetting the earlier awkwardness, and peppered him with questions: “We’ve been talking for so long, and you still haven’t told me your name! When did we meet? Am I staying at your place now? When can I go home?”

Sheng Yunze pinched Duan Yi’s cheek, pulling on his plump cheek, causing Duan Yi to yelp in pain.

“One question at a time,” he instructed.

Tears welled up in Duan Yi’s eyes from the pain. “What’s your name? How should I address you?”

Sheng Yunze paused for a moment, then smirked, raising an eyebrow. “My surname is Gong.”

“Gong?” Duan Yi repeated. It was a rather uncommon surname.

Sheng Yunze hummed in agreement, explaining, “Gong, as in ‘Gong Xi Fa Cai’—’Wishing you prosperity.'”

“Gong what? What’s your full name?” Duan Yi pressed.

“Gong Xi Fa Cai,” Sheng Yunze replied.

“Huh?” Duan Yi was dumbfounded.

“Gong Xi Fa Cai,” Sheng Yunze repeated calmly and naturally. “That’s my name.”

Duan Yi: =口=!

What kind of ridiculous name is that?!

Forcing a smile, he managed to say, “Oh, that’s… quite festive…”

Sheng Yunze hummed in acknowledgment.

Duan Yi: “Mr. Gong…”

Sheng Yunze: “You don’t usually call me that.”

Duan Yi: “…Huh?”

His expression was so innocent that Sheng Yunze’s inner mischievousness surged to the surface in waves.

He grinned, revealing two sharp canines, and said earnestly, “You usually call me ‘Old Gong (husband)’.”

(t/n: Lao Gong here means Old Gong, like a nickname. But there is another Lao Gong with different Chinese characters, same pronunciation tho, that means Husband. So it sounds like Duan Yi was saying Lao Gong/Husband instead of Lao Gong/Old Gong. Correct me if I’m mistaken.)

Duan Yi’s pupils dilated in shock. “Old Gong?!”

As soon as he said it, he realized something was off.

Duan Yi: “Why does that sound so weird…?”

His ears flushed crimson.

Sheng Yunze: “There’s nothing weird about it.”

He emphasized, “We’re friends, aren’t we? The kind who share a bed. Would I lie to you?”

Duan Yi thought carefully. It seemed Sheng Yunze had no reason to deceive him. After all, he was also an Alpha, and “Old Gong (Husband)” wouldn’t take advantage of him.

With genuine sincerity and unwavering trust, Duan Yi looked at him like a loyal puppy and called out, “Old Gong.”

Sheng Yunze nodded, secretly reveling in his triumph.
