Chapter 84 – Pregnancy??

After getting drunk, Duan Yi became quite clingy, so Sheng Yunze decided not to wander around with him and booked a room at the hotel upstairs.

When the elevator reached the twelfth floor, they saw Sheng Yunxi leaning against the bar, shamelessly flirting with a girl. Her contrived gestures were almost unbearable to watch.

The worst part was that she had the exact same face as him. As Sheng Yunze passed by, he casually kicked his sister. Sheng Yunxi’s Midnight Munich nearly fell to the floor. She turned to see who dared kick her, only to find her brother glaring at her with a dark expression. “Move aside,” he growled.

The Omega girl behind Sheng Yunxi’s eyes widened as she spotted a young man who looked exactly like her.

Sheng Yunxi glanced at Duan Yi, who was now sleeping peacefully in Sheng Yunze’s arms.

“Whoa, Lao Sheng, what happened to him?”

Duan Yi had already closed his eyes and fallen asleep.

Sheng Yunxi crossed her arms, feigning horror. “Don’t tell me you drugged him and pulled some ‘domineering CEO forces himself on me’ crap? Lao Sheng, look at your face! Do you really think you’re suited for that kind of drama?!”

Sheng Yunze: “Are you done yet?”

Sheng Yunxi quickly gestured for him to enter. “Sorry to bother you. Room 1208 is to the left.”

Then she added, “His dad’s still downstairs. Shouldn’t you call him? They’ll be worried sick if they can’t find him soon.”

Sheng Yunze ignored her.

Sheng Yunxi took a sip of her Midnight Munich, glanced at it disdainfully, and winked at the handsome Omega bartender. “Is this Radix Isatidis you’ve mixed?”

The bartender blushed instantly under her gaze.

Duan Yi, whom Sheng Yunze had laid on the bed, woke up the moment he touched the mattress. He rolled around in the blankets several times, crumpling the once-smooth sheets into a wrinkled mess.

Opening his eyes and seeing Sheng Yunze, Duan Yi grabbed his arm and tried to pull him onto the bed, kicking the sheets repeatedly with his legs. “Get in! Get in! Get in!”

Sheng Yunze tried to placate him while explaining, “I’m just going to get you some water.”

Duan Yi clung to his arm, as if trying to fuse himself to Sheng Yunze’s body to prevent him from leaving.

Sheng Yunze had no choice but to pour a glass of water with one hand and hand it to Duan Yi.

Duan Yi stared at the glass, refusing to drink.

Sheng Yunze retorted, “Don’t expect me to feed you mouth-to-mouth. You’re dreaming.”

Even drunk, Duan Yi retained some sense of shame and immediately protested, “What makes you think I’d expect that?! I didn’t!”

“Oh,” Sheng Yunze replied.

Duan Yi pointed to his lips, then tilted his head back—or rather, he practically jerked his head back. Sheng Yunze watched him fling his head back so violently, half-afraid he’d snap his own neck.

He almost laughed.

“What’s wrong with your lips?”

Duan Yi poked them knowingly. “I’m wearing lipstick, you know. I can’t drink water or it’ll smudge on the glass.”

Sheng Yunze: ……

Duan Yi directed him, “Feed me with a spoon, then. Ah.”

“Want me to use a funnel instead?” Sheng Yunze raised an eyebrow.

When Sheng Yunze returned from the bathroom with a towel, he found Duan Yi charging his phone and calling Jiang Wangshu.

“Yeah, we broke up! How could anyone be like that? I said I was thirsty and asked him to feed me, and he actually suggested using a funnel! Is he even human?! Is Sheng Yunze even human?!”

It was noisy on Jiang Wangshu’s end, likely because it was New Year’s and all his relatives were home. He seemed to be playing mahjong while looking after a child, giving Duan Yi perfunctory replies, “Mhm, mhm, mhm, exactly!”

Duan Yi: “Do you think I should break up with him?”

Jiang Wangshu, barely hearing him, blurted out, “Break up, break up, break up! What’s the point of keeping a boyfriend like that? Break up and we’ll remarry! I’ll even be your mistress, you little rascal—I want you!”

Duan Yi: “How could you say that?!”

He flared up: “You’re not even trying to talk me out of it! Haven’t you heard the saying, ‘Better to tear down ten temples than ruin one marriage’?! You’re just telling me to break up? You’re doing this on purpose, aren’t you?!”

Jiang Wangshu was bewildered, finding young men in love utterly illogical and irrational. “Fine, don’t break up! Don’t break up! You and the school beauty will live happily ever after, your love eternal and harmonious…”

Duan Yi grew agitated again, “Then why is he acting like this?! He said he’d feed me water with a funnel! Even after all that, I shouldn’t break up?!”

Before Jiang Wangshu could reply, Sheng Yunze snatched Duan Yi’s phone and hung up.

Duan Yi turned his head in a daze, Sheng Yunze looming over him. “Who are you going to tattle to?”

“I was just having a reasonable conversation,” Duan Yi replied, showing no fear of being caught. He lay on the bed, his mind blank for a moment before snapping back to attention. “Sheng Yunze, your pheromones smell so good. Come closer.”

Duan Yi had already rumpled Sheng Yunze’s suit beyond recognition. Now, with his jacket off, Sheng Yunze was left in just a white shirt.

The northern room was heated, and Sheng Yunze had loosened his tie, revealing his collar. The warm light illuminated his face.

Duan Yi stared, mesmerized.

Why is he so handsome?

How did Sheng Yunze end up looking like this?

He had met Sheng Yunze’s parents before. While both Father Sheng and Mrs. Sheng were attractive, they weren’t the kind of striking beauty that would make them stand out in the entertainment industry—just a good-looking middle-aged couple.

Yet, their features had combined in some extraordinary way to create Sheng Yunze.

A face that could leave all others in the dust, even in the cutthroat world of entertainment.

“How did you get so beautiful?” Duan Yi sat up and tried to cling to Sheng Yunze again, his eyes shining brightly. “Dragon Girl!”

Sheng Yunze: ……

“Who’s Dragon Girl?”

Duan Yi exclaimed excitedly, “It’s you! Don’t you think you look just like Liu Yifei? Dragon Girl means Little Dragon Girl. I loved her so much when I was little! I also loved Ling’er. Have you seen Chinese Paladin? Do you want to be Ling’er? Then I’ll be Li Xiaoyao! Call me ‘Xiaoyao-gege’ right now!”

He even tilted his ear expectantly.

Sheng Yunze was speechless.

“You’re drunk,” he said, pinching Duan Yi’s chubby cheek roughly. “And you’re the first person to ever say that. Don’t you dare call me a woman, got it?”

When Sheng Yunze was angry or silent, his expression turned icy, his features radiating a cold, aloof beauty. Duan Yi was utterly captivated by his face.

He cradled Sheng Yunze’s face in his hands, admiring it intently. Sheng Yunze, unaware that Duan Yi was a die-hard face-connoisseur, simply assumed he was drunk and acting foolishly.

As Duan Yi continued to gaze, he couldn’t resist any longer. He puckered his lips and planted a loud, sloppy kiss on Sheng Yunze’s mouth.

A sweet, citrusy scent of orange-flavored lip balm and the fragrant aroma of champagne wafted from Duan Yi, mingling with his pheromones.

The scent was like coconut milk, making him incredibly thirsty and his teeth itch with the urge to bite.

Duan Yi carried Sheng Yunze’s lifelong mark. During his Heat, he didn’t need suppressants; a single bite would suffice.

The main problem was that Sheng Yunze couldn’t make any moves. The hotel was bustling with people, and they didn’t know when Duan Ji Huai and the others would return. A phone call wouldn’t get Duan Yi to leave, and what if his parents came looking and found them in bed together? That wouldn’t make a good impression on Duan Ji Huai.

Sheng Yunze didn’t want to give Duan Ji Huai such a negative impression.

He turned Duan Yi around and gently pressed his gland.

Duan Yi’s Omega instincts immediately recognized what Sheng Yunze intended. He cooperated readily, turning his head, unbuttoning his white suit jacket to reveal his shirt, and then unbuttoning the shirt itself. His slender, swan-like neck was now completely exposed to Sheng Yunze’s gaze.

Duan Yi sat with his back to him, dizzy and barely able to support himself. Sheng Yunze steadied him, and they exchanged a silent, knowing kiss.

Then, following the line of his jaw, Sheng Yunze moved to his earlobe, nibbling it before finally settling on the nape of his neck.

[ School Beauty’s Happy Time: 30 Minutes ]

The next morning, Duan Yi woke up with a sore neck. When he touched it, he found a distinct bite mark.

After sleeping soundly in his drunken stupor, Duan Yi belatedly felt a parched throat. He climbed out of bed, gulped down a glass of water, and realized he wasn’t at his aunt’s house.

Duan Yi: ??!!

Where am I?

He scanned the room: an unfamiliar bed, an unfamiliar room, an unfamiliar window, and unfamiliar curtains.

The water Duan Yi had just swallowed nearly trickled down the corner of his mouth.

Holy shit, no way…

Did I just transmigrate again?

Transmigrate to another world?!

Damn, isn’t that a trend among Japanese high school students? When did transmigrating to another world become popular with Chinese high schoolers too?!

Lost in his wild thoughts, the door creaked open a crack.

Sheng Xi stood on tiptoe, struggling to reach the doorknob. “Mommy!”

Duan Yi snapped back to reality. “It’s Dad! Who taught you to call me that?!”

Sheng Xi was already dressed, but in clothes Duan Yi hadn’t bought for him—likely purchased by Sheng Yunze.

It had to be said, Sheng Yunze’s taste in fashion was polar opposite to Duan Yi’s.

Duan Yi loved buying cute penguin-themed outfits, while Sheng Yunze preferred dressing their sons like little cool kids, going all out with the edgy, cool-guy look.

Now, Sheng Xi looked even more like Sheng Yunze.

Sheng Xi waddled in on his short legs. “Daddy told me to come get you. Are you hungry?”

Duan Yi playfully made his stomach rumble twice.

Sheng Xi giggled and asked Duan Yi to pick him up. Duan Yi lifted him, and Sheng Xi wrapped his arms around Duan Yi’s neck. “Want food!”

Duan Yi corrected him gently, “It’s ‘eat’, okay?”

When they went downstairs, Sheng Yunze was indeed sitting in the living room, along with Sheng Yunxi and Mrs. Sheng.

Duan Yi, still in his pajamas, felt a bit awkward meeting Mrs. Sheng without having showered or brushed his teeth.

Putting Sheng Xi down, Duan Yi said, “Go find Daddy. I’ll go change.”

Mrs. Sheng caught this and smiled warmly. “Xiaoduan, your clothes are on the nightstand. Is it okay if you wear Sheng Yunze’s?”

Duan Yi still carried Sheng Yunze’s pheromones. Though he remembered little of the previous night, he knew Sheng Yunze had definitely bitten him.

Calculating, he realized his Heat was approaching. Besides, Sheng Yunze could bite him whenever he wanted; Duan Yi’s tolerance for him had no limits.

Wearing his clothes would be fine—it might even comfort him.

After a quick shower and change, Duan Yi went downstairs and noticed his outfit was remarkably similar to Sheng Yunze’s.

The real kicker was that Sheng Ming and Sheng Xi were wearing outfits that looked just like theirs—a complete set of matching family outfits!

Duan Yi wrestled with the urge to change, especially after noticing Auntie Sheng’s expression. Why was she looking at him with such unusual warmth and kindness today? It was… strange.

Mrs. Sheng, thoroughly pleased with the scene, pulled Duan Yi down to sit.

After dinner, Duan Yi immediately sidled up to Sheng Yunze. “How did I end up at your house?” Even he couldn’t miss the obvious.

What truly baffled Duan Yi was something else entirely. “My dad just let me come here?”

Duan Ji Huai? Impossible! That man would rather break both of Duan Yi’s legs than let him spend the night at another Alpha’s house.

Sheng Yunze replied calmly, “Your dad didn’t want you to.”

Duan Yi breathed a sigh of relief.

“But you were clinging to me, refusing to let go,” Sheng Yunze continued.

Duan Yi: !!!

“You tricked me?”

“Why would I trick you?” Sheng Yunze retorted. “You were stuck to me like glue—I couldn’t even pry you off. When your dad tried to pull you away, you threatened to take us both down with you, a double suicide of lovers. You bit anyone who tried to intervene. Want me to reenact it for you?”

Duan Yi: ……

Duan Yiguang’s hands trembled slightly. “What did my dad say?”

Sheng Yunze gazed at him with a mysterious look. “Your dad said to wait and take good care of the ‘pregnancy’.”

Duan Yiguang’s soul nearly left his body at the first half of the sentence. The second half sent him into a full-blown panic. “What ‘pregnancy’???”

Just then, Mrs. Sheng walked over carrying a plate of pickled plums, her eyes full of concern as she looked at Duan Yi. “Xiaoduan, do you want something sour?”

Duan Yi: Holy shit?

Mrs. Sheng’s gaze landed on Duan Yi’s school uniform.

Duan Yi: Wait…

Sheng Yunze helpfully added, “Your dad said my parents were present when he announced your ‘pregnancy’.”

Wait, wait, wait—

Duan Yiguang’s soul completely left his body.

A misunderstanding! This is all a misunderstanding!

Holy shit, no wonder Auntie Sheng was looking at him with such maternal affection today!

I’m not pregnant, Auntie!

Seriously, I’m not pregnant!

Can you even drink alcohol when you’re pregnant?! Use some common sense!

Duan Yi’s expression was one of utter devastation. Explain yourself!

He turned to Sheng Yunze, who was thoroughly enjoying the chaos, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. “Why are you looking at me? It’s not like I’m the one who’s pregnant.”

Duan Yi burst into tears. Pregnant your sister, you bastard!
