Villain Husband, Please Let Go - Chapter 38
Tang Wang was jolted awake by the sound, her eyes opening drowsily. She yawned with her mouth slightly open, looking like a sleepy kitten—delicate and adorable.
Tang Yitong’s heart raced with affection. Realizing that Lu Yi was nearby, he quickly shifted to cover Tang Wang, positioning himself between her and the others.
But it was too late. Lu Yi, Yun Nuan, and the others had already seen the scene.
“Awake? Have some orange juice to refresh your throat,” Tang Yitong said, handing Tang Wang a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice.
Tang Wang made a soft sound of acknowledgment, took a couple of sips through the straw, and then noticed Lu Yi and the others beside her. She looked up lazily and said, “What a coincidence.”
At these words, Lu Rongrong snapped out of her surprise at seeing Tang Wang just waking up and cleared her throat. “It is quite a coincidence. What brings you two here for a vacation?”
“Just wanted to get out and have some fun after the New Year. It’s too cold at home; it’s much warmer here,” Tang Wang replied casually.
Lu Rongrong nodded and, noticing that Tang Wang seemed uninterested in chatting further, felt a bit displeased. She pressed on, “Just the two of you?”
“Is there someone else?” Tang Wang countered.
Lu Rongrong was instantly embarrassed.
It seemed unlikely that Tang Wang’s family would come out for a vacation given their situation.
At that moment, Lu Yi suddenly addressed Tang Wang, “Hello, I’m Lu Yi, Rongrong’s brother. May we sit over here?”
Upon hearing this, Yun Nuan looked at Lu Yi in surprise, and Lu Rongrong appeared somewhat taken aback.
Tang Yitong, however, fixed his gaze on Tang Wang, waiting for her response. Seeing his dark, tense expression, Tang Wang couldn’t help but find it amusing.
She then said to Lu Yi, “Of course, you can sit here.”
Tang Yitong’s heart sank instantly, and his mind began racing with anxiety.
Unexpectedly, Tang Wang stood up and said to the group, “Since Tongtong and I have rested enough, we’re heading to the beach. Feel free to sit here.”
She then grabbed Tang Yitong’s wrist. “Why are you just standing there? Let’s go!”
Tang Yitong snapped out of his daze, his heart, which had been knotted, now felt sweetly relieved, and a smile appeared on his lips.
Meanwhile, Lu Yi watched the two of them leave with a hint of amusement.
Yun Nuan, who had been observing Lu Yi’s expression, felt a pang of concern and unconsciously clenched her hands.
Lu Yi… Is he interested in Tang Wang?
No way!
She absolutely couldn’t let Tang Wang take Lu Yi away!
After spending the afternoon at the beach, Tang Wang wanted to have some barbecue in the evening.
Tang Yitong quickly rented a barbecue grill and started grilling seafood on the beach for her.
However, not long after they started eating, Lu Yi and the others appeared again.
“Can we join you? I’m quite good at cooking myself,” Lu Yi said with a gentle smile.
Yun Nuan’s expression grew darker as she fixed her gaze on Tang Wang. In the afternoon, she could convince herself it was a coincidence, but now?
Seeing them, Tang Wang was equally speechless. How did they run into each other again?
“I’m sorry, but there are tools for rent over there if you want to barbecue. I prefer not to eat with strangers,” Tang Wang declined immediately.
She had no intention of getting involved with the main characters.
She then called out to Little Cutie, “Little Cutie, why does it feel like something’s off? Tang Wang and I are just minor characters and antagonists. Why do the main characters keep showing up near us? It’s so frustrating!”
Little Cutie was also a bit annoyed. “I don’t know either. Just keep your distance from them.”
“That’s true,” Tang Wang thought to herself.
She certainly didn’t want to get entangled with the main characters! To her, these two were nothing but trouble.
