Traveling Through Those Years Of Farming (Quick Transmigration) - Chapter 25
Dear Readers,
Due to a temporary website issue, starting around April 3, all novels started before January 2025 will be temporarily moved to the drafts folder for approximately 3–4 weeks. Unfortunately, this novel is included in that list.
In the meantime, I will be uploading the latest advance chapters to my Ko-fi account for my supporters. Regular updates will resume as soon as the site allows.
Thank you for your patience and support!
Jiang Runzhu ranks first in the city. She has typically ranked around 20th since high school, but by relying on her memory of the college entrance exam questions, she achieves her best results yet.
Sheng Baobao ranks eighth in the city and third in the county, with a total score just nine points behind Jiang Runzhu.
As soon as they receive the results, Jiang Sanshui and his wife go to the town to buy two fifty-shot salutes and a bunch of firecrackers. The entire morning is filled with the sound of firecrackers, and soon everyone in the village knows that Jiang Runzhu has ranked first in the city.
Xiaoyanggang hasn’t produced a champion in years, so the whole village gathers at the Jiang family’s house to celebrate.
“Sure enough, it’s not just about doing well in exams all the time. It all depends on how you perform at critical moments.”
“Exactly, Runzhu is a lucky girl. Her luck in crucial exams always kicks in.”
Everyone praises Jiang Runzhu, and both Jiang Sanshui and Hua Yingxiu beam with pride.
“The child from the Sheng family is also taking the college entrance exam this year. Our Runzhu often says her grades are better than hers. I wonder how she did this time.” Hua Yingxiu says this with a hint of pride, as she believes her daughter’s grades are superior to Baobao’s.
Once these words are spoken, the lively atmosphere in the room temporarily freezes. Anyone present can tell that Hua Yingxiu is trying to outdo Lady Hua.
It doesn’t matter what they say to flatter the newly crowned city champion, but to offend Lady Hua is another matter. Her magical abilities are well-known, and no one knows what kind of bad luck might come from offending her.
“Hahaha, Lady Hua’s daughter is also impressive. She seems to be third in the county. Poor thing, she must’ve been under too much pressure recently. I saw her a few days ago, and she looked tired and thin. I’m guessing she didn’t perform her best in the exam.”
“Yes, she’s a smart girl. If she had done well, she would’ve been first.”
A group of people mindlessly praises Sheng Baobao, all the while glancing around cautiously.
Their voices are intentionally loud, hoping that their words will reach Lady Hua’s ears.
Hua Yingxiu, who has been feeling self-satisfied, grows irritated, and Jiang Runzhu’s expression sours as well.
When they say those things, do they even consider the feelings of the top student in the room? Why does it feel like her first-place ranking is being overshadowed by Sheng Baobao?
“I’ll hold a thank-you banquet for the teachers in a few days. The villagers must come to show their support.”
Hua Yingxiu quickly changes the subject, not wanting to hear any more praise for Hua Yingpo. “Don’t bring any gifts. Sanshui and I will prepare a banquet with 20 tables. Everyone—bring the elders and children to eat together.”
Initially, Hua Yingxiu had only planned on preparing 6 or 7 tables and inviting close friends and family, but now, feeling somewhat provoked, she wants to make the banquet more grand. She wants everyone to know that her daughter is the best in the city and that the girls from Hua Ying’s side of the family can’t compare.
Jiang Sanshui, who has been smoking nearby, glares at Hua Yingxiu.
But after thinking for a moment, he realizes this is also a matter of face for the Jiang family. It is a good opportunity for his son to bring his future wife and her family over, showcasing the wealth and prominence of the Jiang family. This will show them that the children raised by Jiang Sanshui are all promising, ensuring that they will be more than happy to marry their daughter into the family.
With that thought, he doesn’t scold Hua Yingxiu for her actions.
“Of course, of course. How could we miss the No. 1 Scholar’s banquet?”
“Don’t worry, we’ll come to the banquet.”
Everyone responds quickly, though their voices are tinged with distaste.
If they really don’t want the gift money, why have they pointed it out so clearly at the start? Now, it is unclear whether they truly don’t want it or are just pretending to be polite.
Nevertheless, being able to attend the No. 1 Scholar’s banquet is a privilege, especially for families with children still in school. Everyone is eager to share in the joy surrounding Jiang Runzhu’s success.
The Jiang family’s joy does not affect Sheng Baobao’s mood.
When she learns of Jiang Runzhu’s results, Baobao is surprised for only a moment before quickly understanding.
Based on her experiences from her past life, the world she is currently in is probably centered around the reborn girl Jiang Runzhu. After all, if the heroine of this world doesn’t secure first or second place in the college entrance exam, it wouldn’t align with the expectations for the protagonist.
Aside from that, Sheng Baobao also acknowledges Jiang Runzhu’s consistent effort in her studies.
Maybe because of her rebirth, the other party has some recollection of the college entrance exam questions. However, if there has been no foundation at all, even with that knowledge, she might not have been able to score well.
Sheng Baobao has seen Jiang Runzhu memorizing English words while walking several times. The other party’s results are certainly a result of her consistent effort and accumulation.
So, even though she doesn’t perform as well as Jiang Runzhu, Sheng Baobao doesn’t feel discouraged.
Compared to Baobao’s open-mindedness, Hua Yingpo and Sheng Wukun aren’t as gracious.
At first, Hua Yingpo doesn’t pay much attention to Jiang Runzhu’s first-place ranking. But who can blame some people for being so full of themselves that they don’t even recognize their own flaws?
Hua Yingpo dislikes seeing Hua Yingxiu stepping on her own daughter’s achievements to boast about her own.
She has clearly inquired about Baobao’s results earlier, but when there are others around, she pretends to forget and asks again. Moreover, after more than ten years of meeting each other, she actually pretends not to know Baobao, and only after the college entrance results come out does she speak to her for the first time.
With a smug expression, she claims she hasn’t realized her daughter’s grades are usually not as good as Baobao’s, but she hadn’t expected her to perform so well in the college entrance exam and surpass Baobao. She even asks if Baobao has been upset lately, suggesting that relatives shouldn’t be so petty.
After hearing these words, can Mother Hua still tolerate it?
In her view, Hua Yingxiu is just a troublemaker, someone who provokes others to get a reaction.
“This woman is clearly out of her mind. Our Baobao has beaten her daughter in nine out of ten exams. Have we ever rubbed it in her face? Well, it’s my fault. I didn’t make sure Baobao got enough nutrition before the exam. She used to eat two pork elbows in one meal, but the day before the college entrance exam, she couldn’t even finish one. It must be because she didn’t eat well enough and didn’t perform at her full potential.”
Sheng Wukun also thinks Hua Yingxiu is despicable. If her daughter does well in the exam, she could simply be happy, but instead, she has to assert herself in front of them.
“I also made a mistake. I prepared red underwear for Bao before the exam, but she thought it was ugly and didn’t want to wear it. I didn’t force her. I heard Hua Yingxiu’s daughter wore all red during the exam.”
Hua Yingpo also blames herself. Their Bao is smart and hardworking. The reason Jiang Runzhu surpasses her in grades must be because they, as parents, haven’t properly supported her before the exam.
The fault is theirs, not Baobao’s.
The couple agrees that Hua Yingxiu should not be allowed to gloat.
“Ridiculous, just like her parents.” Hua Yingpo scolds Hua Yingxiu in anger. Thinking about them, her expression grows darker.
When her foster father was alive, the couple in the village who had the closest relationship with him were Hua Yingxiu’s parents. They often visited under the guise of familial ties, asking for meat and offering wilted vegetables in return.
Her father hadn’t had many relatives and was a kind person. He never spoke ill of this couple, often telling Hua Yingpo that people saw him as bad luck and avoided him, but this cousin still came to visit, showing they considered him a relative. Based on this, he tolerated them taking advantage of him.
After her father passed away, Hua Yingpo, as his closest relative, naturally becomes reliant on this couple. But how could they willingly support a freeloader, especially not long after her father’s death when a drought has caused widespread hunger? Hua Yingpo, with no blood relation to them, becomes the biggest burden on their family.
If they simply didn’t want to support her, Hua Yingpo wouldn’t have hated them. After all, people are selfish, and when struggling to survive, how could they be expected to help others?
What truly disgusts Hua Yingpo is that they spread rumors, saying she is born with bad luck, that she will bring misfortune to her parents and relatives. They even blame the drought on her, as if it gives them an excuse to abandon her.
During that time, Hua Yingpo is shunned by the entire village. The food she scavenges is taken away, and some even go so far as to prevent her from approaching the village. If they find her, they beat her up.
With no choice, Hua Yingpo flees to the deep mountains, where she survives by sheer luck.
The couple also faces their own misfortune. When Hua Yingpo finally establishes herself in the area, proving her abilities and gaining the respect of most people, they fall ill and pass away one after the other—an easy death for them.
Hua Yingpo chooses not to take out her anger on the next generation, which is why Hua Yingxiu and her siblings live safe and peaceful lives, still able to provoke her with arrogance.
“Baobao, don’t learn these words, okay? You’ll be a college student soon, and college students should be polite and courteous.”
Hua Yingpo immediately regrets her words. She hadn’t noticed when her daughter came out of the house. The words she and her husband just used to scold Hua Yingxiu might have been overheard by her daughter.
Baobao is different from her. She’s used to being blunt, while her daughter is delicate, like a little princess. How could such harsh words come from the mouth of a little princess?
“Our Bao ranks third in the county. In ancient times, she would have been honored as a third-place winner. Come to think of it, our Bao is so pretty, she should be a third-place winner!”
Hua Yingpo is worried that her daughter might feel upset after hearing the gossip from outside, so she tries to comfort her.
“Others hold first-place banquets, so we should hold a third-place banquet. Mr. Huang, Mr. Liu, Mr. Zhu, and others who’ve done favors for us before have called, saying they want to come and celebrate with us. Why not set a date and enjoy together?” Sheng Wukun smiles and suggests a rather provocative idea.
As for the date, of course, it has to be on the same day as the first-place banquet.
“Exactly, we must hold a grand third-place banquet.” Hua Yingpo becomes excited at the idea. Her eyes sparkle with mischief, clearly wanting to stir things up.
At first, Sheng Baobao wanted to persuade them not to. Two families holding banquets on the same day would be a way to one-up each other. Since they live in the same village, their social circles overlap, and people would be forced to choose which banquet to attend. This creates a competition over their friendships. Baobao feels that, given the reputation her parents have built over the years, it’s obvious which banquet the villagers would prefer. Jiang Runzhu might end up embarrassed. The other party has a lot of potential, and it wouldn’t be wise to make an enemy of her.
But upon further thought, since Jiang Runzhu’s mother took the initiative to start this fight, if she stops Hua Yingpo and Sheng Wukun from venting their anger, they might grow resentful. Her parents have always been good to her—how could she stand in the way of their satisfaction for someone else?
So, Baobao swallows her objections. Instead, she quietly has someone pass a message to the Jiang family, informing them that Lady Hua is also planning a banquet three days later, which happens to coincide with the date they originally set. She suggests that they consider changing the time.
She delivers the message, and whether they choose to heed it is up to them.
Jiang Sanshui and Hua Yingxiu are furious when they hear the news.
“This is all your fault. You just have to show off in front of everyone. Isn’t there enough attention in the village for you to flaunt yourselves?” Jiang Sanshui thinks Hua Yingxiu is being troublesome.
“How can you blame me? It’s obviously Hua Yingpo’s wife who is narrow-minded. She can’t stand the idea of our daughter outshining hers. We had already set the date for the wedding banquet. Why does she have to clash with us? People with any sense of dignity wouldn’t do something like this.”
Hua Yingxiu says this with a stiff neck, though in reality, she feels a little uneasy. The chef has already been hired, and with so many families holding graduation banquets recently, his schedule is packed, so changing the date isn’t an option. Moreover, the pork, duck, fish, and other ingredients have already been ordered and will be delivered on the planned date.
If they change the date now, they might lose a small amount of money. Plus, why should she avoid Hua Yingpo? It almost seems like she is afraid of her.
Hua Yingxiu feels a little dissatisfied.
“Actually, it doesn’t matter if our banquets are on the same day. Our daughter’s banquet is for the champion. Those who want to join in on the joy should know that champions are more important than third-place winners. Besides, which family in the village doesn’t have at least seven or eight members? Even if both families hold their banquets at the same time, they’ll just split into two groups to attend.”
The more Hua Yingxiu thinks about it, the more reasonable it seems. They don’t need to fear Hua Yingpo this time. If she really had the ability, her daughter would have passed the exam and been crowned champion, too.
“So, why not change the date?” Jiang Sanshui asks tentatively while smoking.
“No, if we change it now, everyone will think we’re afraid of Hua Yingpo. Won’t that make us look inferior to her in the future?”
Jiang Sanshui is very concerned about face. After hearing Hua Yingxiu’s reasoning, he chooses not to express an opinion.
However, to be on the safe side, they decide to reduce the number of tables for the banquet from 20 to 15, so that even if some villagers attend Hua Yingpo’s banquet, their own tables won’t look too empty.
In the end, the couple stands firm on their decision and still plans to hold a large banquet on the original date.
“Today, my parents will take our second daughter to Lady Hua’s house, and you and I will take the eldest daughter to Jiang Sanshui’s house. That way, we won’t offend either family.”
This conversation takes place in a very ordinary family in Xiaoyanggang. The young couple decides to split into two groups to attend the banquets of both families, adopting a neutral stance to avoid offending anyone.
“My parents are the elders in the family, and sending them to attend the banquet at Lady Hua’s house shows their respect for her. My eldest daughter is already in the third year of junior high school this year, so it’s only right that she attend the top scholar’s banquet and enjoy the celebration.”
Other families in the village do the same.
Some families, who no longer live with their parents after separation, split by gender. The husband takes his daughter to Lady Hua’s house, while the wife takes their son to Jiang Sanshui’s house. Only in families where the elders hold Lady Hua in high regard do the entire family go to her banquet.
For the most part, the number of people at both banquets attendees is about the same, though Lady Hua’s banquet may have a few more attendees.
Later, several luxury cars drive past Jiang Sanshui’s yard and head toward the Hua family’s house.
Most families now have TVs, so they have some knowledge of expensive cars, but they can only recognize Santanas by their logo. Judging by their appearance, these cars look far more expensive and elegant than the Santanas.
So many prominent people are visiting the Hua family! The guests at Jiang Sanshui’s house feel uncomfortable. They look in the direction of the luxury cars and wish they were attending Lady Hua’s banquet instead.
The adults try to control their emotions, but the children, full of curiosity, can’t hold back. They break free from their parents’ grasp and rush toward the luxury cars.
They are eager to see something new. The big four-wheeled cars look far more beautiful than the gray trucks parked outside Jiang Sanshui’s yard. The children know the cars are expensive and don’t dare touch them, but they are excited just to see them.
As a result, fewer people stay at Jiang Sanshui’s house.
“There are so many important figures at Lady Hua family’s banquet. Lady Hua is really well-connected. Didn’t you see how polite everyone is to her? Each one is more generous than the last. One person even gives her a Wenquxing as big as a palm, made of gold. Can you imagine how much that must cost?”
Some of the people who went to the Hua family’s banquet return and eagerly share what they see.
“You know Tan Shan, right? He’s the big boss who made his fortune by contracting construction sites. He’s even been on provincial TV, and he’s at the Hua family’s banquet.”
“What! My husband wants to join their company. It’s said their company treats employees well and never delays paying the wages of bricklayers.”
“Not just Tan Shan—there’s also the vice president of the First Municipal Hospital here.”
“Really? My mother has a stomach tumor. The county hospital says it’s not dangerous and can be removed, but they don’t have the equipment for surgery, so she’ll have to go to the city. I wonder if the vice president is approachable. I want to ask how much such an operation will cost and if it will be hard for the old woman.”
Everyone talks over each other, and it feels like needles are pricking at their butts. They can’t sit still any longer.
Had they known that so many influential people would be at the Hua family’s banquet, they would have gone there instead. Even if they didn’t make any new friends, they could at least boast that they dined with someone important.
“Hurry up and serve the dishes.” After hearing the guests’ discussions and seeing their hesitation, Jiang Sanshui hurriedly stubs out his cigarette and says to Hua Yingxiu in a low voice. “If the dishes aren’t served soon, these people might leave.”
“But Runtu’s partner hasn’t arrived yet.”
Hua Yingxiu is also upset. It’s just a graduation banquet, so why is Hua Yingpo showing off so much? Inviting so many important people just to tell everyone that she is capable? It’s unclear whether her daughter is the main attraction or if it’s Hua Yingpo herself, the charlatan.
“I don’t care about that anymore.” Jiang Sanshui waves his hand. They have already reduced the number of tables from 20 to 15. Since some children have already run off, the tables are a bit emptier than planned, making the scene feel less lively.
He is afraid that if they wait any longer, even these 15 tables will end up empty, turning their so-called grand banquet for the top scholar into a joke.
“Fine.” Hua Yingxiu grits her teeth in agreement and quickly tells the chef to prepare the hot dishes. Meanwhile, the kitchen helpers begin bringing out the cold dishes that have been prepared in advance.
This time, Jiang Sanshui and Hua Yingxiu spend a lot of money. The banquet they prepare is of medium quality, featuring eight cold dishes, eight hot dishes, and two large bowls of soup, with fish, meat, and shrimp. This is the typical standard for wedding banquets in their village.
Once the dishes are served, most of the guests breathe a sigh of relief, greet each other, and begin to feast. They don’t often get to enjoy such good food.
When the stewed pork elbow is brought out, the scene becomes even livelier. Everyone stops being polite and quickly grabs the pork elbow with their chopsticks. Within moments, the plate is emptied.
Seeing that everyone is happily eating and no longer talking about the Hua family, Jiang Sanshui and his wife finally breathe a sigh of relief.
“Wife, how come you’re already eating?”
At that moment, a man comes running outside. He is supposed to be at the Hua family’s house right now.
“What’s wrong?” the woman, who has just grabbed some pork elbow, asks in confusion.
“The child is crying and asking for you. Come with me.” The man smiles awkwardly at Jiang Sanshui and his wife, then pulls his wife away.
“Why not bring the child over if they’re crying?” The woman, reluctant to leave the pork elbow behind, still follows her husband to comfort the child.
After a while, a young wife comes running, calling her husband away for the same reason—the child is crying and misses his father.
More than a dozen people are called away this way. Jiang Sanshui can no longer bear it. After one more person is called away, he secretly follows.
“The Hua family’s banquet is really something. The owner of Kaiyuan Hotel transfers all their chefs here. Do you know what I see in the kitchen? A huge yellow croaker, as long as my elbow! And there are also giant lobsters from overseas. My goodness, the claws of those lobsters are as big as my face! No wonder they’re called lobsters. It must be expensive if they have ‘dragon’ in the name. I’ve never seen such a rare thing before. I guess I’ll only eat it once in my life.”
It turns out that the Hua family’s banquet is so lavish, with the chef from the prestigious Kaiyuan Hotel overseeing it. The guests who left Jiang Sanshui’s banquet feel it would be a shame to miss out on such a feast, so they make up excuses to call their family members over. Lady Hua has planned the banquet for the entire village, and now, with several empty tables, there is space for everyone.
Jiang Sanshui overhears this, and his face flushes with anger. But he can’t just rush to Hua Yingpo and scold her for being so inconsiderate. After all, it is her money funding the banquet. He can only seethe quietly, blaming her for not giving him any face and the villagers for being so shortsighted, abandoning the top scholar’s honor just for some fancy food.
When Jiang Runtu returns with his girlfriend’s family and his sister, there are only a few dozen people left at Jiang Sanshui’s house. The banquet has already emptied out, and the table is left messy with used bowls and half-eaten dishes.
It looks as though the banquet is already over.
The people who came with Jiang Runtu immediately look displeased. It isn’t yet time for the banquet to end, and they feel that the Jiang family is trying to humiliate them.
Jiang Runzhu’s face is also embarrassed. She is supposed to be the star of the day, so why has the banquet ended before she arrives?
“Oh, Miaomiao, you’re such a beautiful girl! And these must be Miaomiao’s parents and brothers, right? Hello, come right in! This banquet is prepared especially for you. The chef is still cooking in the back, and someone will bring the food out later.”
Jiang Sanshui and Hua Yingxiu force smiles as they greet the future in-laws.
The banquet isn’t over at all. It has just started a little while ago, but many of the guests have been taken away by the Hua family. Now, only the relatives of the Jiang and Hua families remain. They would have left, but unless they break ties with Jiang Sanshui, they have no choice but to stay.
For the sake of their children’s future marriage, Lin Miao’s parents reluctantly suppress their dissatisfaction and stay.
Jiang Runzhu finally learns the full story after pulling her mother into an empty room. She hadn’t expected that after letting Hua Yingpo and her husband go, they would embarrass her like this on such an important day.
“Grandma, Uncle San is back. He couldn’t find anyone at home, so he went to the Hua family. You should go and see.” Fang Aihong’s eldest grandson rushes over, looking anxious. He is afraid they might miss the mighty prawn at the banquet and wants to take his grandmother away right then.
Fang Aihong likes Jiang Runzhu, so even though her family has invited her to the Hua family’s banquet, she stays at Jiang Sanshui’s house as a representative of the Lin family. However, she hasn’t expected her son, Lin Huajun, to return today. When he hears that his father is at the Hua family’s banquet, he assumes the whole family is there and goes straight to the Hua family.
Jiang Runzhu hears this and rushes out excitedly. “Mom, Baobao and I are classmates. She’s holding a graduation banquet, and I should go congratulate her.”
Fortunately, she is still a bit rational. She knows she isn’t familiar enough with Lin Huajun to go to the Hua family with him as an excuse.
“What are you doing there?” Hua Yingxiu is extremely unhappy. Today, the two families have completely torn their relationship apart. They have been humiliated, and it seems irreparable.
“It would be better if I go. Mom, just imagine—the Hua family has embarrassed our family so much. I, the first-place winner, still go to congratulate my old classmate. What will others think?”
Everyone will think she is generous and open-minded, and they’ll also feel that what Lady Hua did was a bit unfair. From the perspective of reputation, she will definitely come out on top.
Hua Yingxiu, also considering this, stops trying to stop Jiang Runzhu from going to the Hua family.
On the way there, Jiang Runzhu is deep in thought. She can’t remember what the man looked like when he first returned to the village. He might have been a little haggard, maybe a little frustrated…
But it doesn’t matter. She knows that the man, with his strong will, will eventually overcome all difficulties and become someone outstanding.
With this expectation, Jiang Runzhu arrives at the Hua family, only to see a tall, upright young man surrounded by many people.
Isn’t he supposed to have injured his leg and become a cripple? Who is this man standing straight among the crowd like a pine tree? Why isn’t he injured?
“We encounter a landslide at that time, and I just happen to fall. I originally think I’ll break my bones or maybe even lose my life, but I am lucky. I fall on a tree, which cushions the fall. In the end, I only get a few scratches. It isn’t serious at all,” Lin Huajun recounts his experience.
“It must be the peace amulet that Lady Hua gave you, blessing you,” someone adds. “You should thank Lady Hua and Huang Xian.”
“Yes, your mother should offer some tribute to Huang Xian to show gratitude for the blessing,” another elder suggests.
Lin Huajun smiles and listens to the elders’ chatter. He too feels that his lucky fall onto the tree might have had something to do with the peace amulet. At the time, he doesn’t think much of it. After discovering that his limbs are fine, he simply bandages his wounds and continues on with his mission. It isn’t until later, when he has more time to think, that he realizes something seems off. He begins looking for the peace amulet his mother asked him to keep close to him, but he can’t find it. If it’s lost, it seems too coincidental.
That night, Lin Huajun has a dream. He dreams that he has broken his leg during the landslide on his mission, and because of inadequate rescue, he has become disabled and is forced to leave the army he loves.
After waking up, Lin Huajun feels a dull pain in his chest, as if that dream had been reality.
“How is that possible? How could this happen?” Jiang Runzhu takes a few steps back. Now that Lin Huajun is healthy, he will naturally not retire early. So, can they still be together as they had been in their past life?
She doesn’t understand why this life is so different from what she remembers.
“Ouch.”
Baobao, who has just brought some vegetarian dishes specially made for the old monk, returns to see Jiang Runzhu standing outside her yard. As she is about to ask if there’s something wrong, Jiang Runzhu suddenly steps back, stepping right on her foot.
“It’s you!”
Baobao, unlucky enough to bump into Jiang Runzhu at that moment, is now in a daze. She is confused and needs an outlet for her frustration. With Hua Yingpo and her husband deliberately trying to embarrass her on such an important day, Jiang Runzhu is in no mood to be civil toward Sheng Baobao.
“Your parents are liars. They buy porgy with the money they cheat to throw this banquet for you. What are you so proud of?”
Jiang Runzhu doesn’t believe that Sheng Baobao is completely innocent and unaware of her parents’ activities. Ultimately, Baobao is still benefiting from her parents’ fraud and pretending to be clueless.
Looking at Sheng Baobao’s innocent expression, Jiang Runzhu’s anger only grows.
“If I were you, I’d stop my parents from cheating money everywhere. If they keep being so arrogant, they’ll end up getting arrested by the police sooner or later. When that happens, you can start planning visits to them in prison.”
Jiang Runzhu is convinced she is in the right. In her previous life, Hua Yingpo and her husband had been arrested, and when they got out of prison, they were old and frail.
Seeing this reborn girl curse her parents, Sheng Baobao can’t take it any longer, no matter how patient she usually is.
“Shut up!”
Sheng Baobao is still smiling, but her patience has reached its limit. She has remained polite all day and refrained from saying anything bad, but this is too much.
