Before Bin could deliver his third attack, Wu Xiaoyin interrupted, “It looks like Lei Lu and the others will be back soon. You all continue working, I’ll go prepare the things needed for lunch.”

Soon, Lei Lu and the other two returned each carrying a large stone jar. Luckily, the weather was good, otherwise a trip to the ice cave would have been unbearable.

Wu Xiaoyin quickly scanned Lei Lu from head to toe. Seeing that he was fine, he asked, “How was it? Was the temperature in the ice cave very low? Are you feeling alright?”

Lei Lu appreciated Xiao Xiao’s concern for him, but when it reached the level of worrying, he felt a bit distressed. He hugged Xiao Xiao in his arms and said, “No, we were also worried that the temperature would be very low, but it turned out to be a bit warmer than outside. Xiao Kai returned home satisfied with the half-finished pair of gloves he had made. Even though he was teased by Bin about his lack of sewing skills on the way home, he was proud to have learned how to make the sweet fruit soup.

Xiao Kai declared himself magnanimous, choosing not to argue with a female like Bin. It just proved that he was indeed an adult now, yes!

As they joked and laughed, the first month of the cold season slipped away. Although Xiao Kai and the others expressed disappointment at not having eaten Xiao Xiao’s homemade food for the following half month, they agreed that Lei Lu’s cooking was quite good, especially with Xiao Xiao’s ideas for new dishes. Of course, it would have been even better if Xiao Xiao himself had made it!

But would Lei Lu be able to cook just like that? Of course not!

Now, Wu Xiaoyin had a clearer understanding of Lei Lu’s possessiveness. Last time, he had mistakenly forgotten Lei Lu’s words. To be honest, Wu Xiaoyin really didn’t meant it. He just thought that the matters concerning the little female were always more important. But since no one else knew how to make the sweet fruit soup, he naturally had to teach Xiao Kai or Bin first. It happened that the two of them were there, so there was no need to make another trip later. He knew that in the cold season, the snow could come suddenly, and by then he wouldn’t know how long it might be delayed.

Variety in the little female’s diet was always better, especially during the cold season. Having fruits rich in vitamins would greatly benefit the little female’s immunity and resilience. Wu Xiaoyin believed that Lei Lu would certainly understand this.
