The Exchange Day soon came to an end. Wu Xiaoyin looked at the huge piles of animal skins and bags of herbs in the camp of the Giant Tiger Tribe and couldn’t help feeling happy that this year’s cold season would be easier to endure. Although Wu Xiaoyin still didn’t know how harsh and difficult the cold season would be, he understood from Xiao Kai and Bin’s descriptions that cold season represented a foreboding of death.

Now seeing Xiao Kai, Bin and even Kos and Feng looking at the supplies with bright eyes, they nearly burst out in laughter to express the joy in their hearts. Even Lei Lu’s eyes sparkled with happiness and satisfaction.

In contrast to the joyous celebration of the Giant Tiger Tribe, the Giant Snake Tribe’s coarse salt trade suffered greatly this year. With the availability of preserved meat, the beastmen’s demand for both meat and coarse salt was met, leading to a drop in coarse salt transactions. As such, the quantity of herbs and animal skins traded by the Giant Snake Tribe decreased by twenty percent compared to previous years, which was undoubtedly a huge blow for the cold season.

As a result, throughout the exchange day, the mood of the Giant Snake Tribe’s beastmen was quite poor. Ken, the team leader, was especially furious. He had finally secured the opportunity to lead the team, hoping to achieve something big, only to learn that the Giant Tiger Tribe could produce salt and preserve meat on their own. This news not only made Ken angry but also filled him with an uncontainable panic. After all, the Giant Snake Tribe had relied too heavily on coarse salt for too long, and a large portion of their herbs and animal skins came from trade, while cold season’s demand for these supplies was immense.

Thinking about the threat to the Giant Snake Tribe’s survival posed by the Giant Tiger Tribe, Ken resolved to discuss strategies with his father upon returning. However, before leaving, he still needed to offer some benefits to the person who had brought him the news, as well as to insert a spy into the Giant Tiger Tribe. His uncle Qi and brother Xin must have already been secretly monitored and controlled within the Giant Tiger Tribe, so the importance of this spy was even more evident.

Meanwhile, the Giant Tiger Tribe was leisurely packing up their animal skins, herbs, and tents. Compared to previous years, this year’s trading speed for the Giant Tiger Tribe was much faster. They had already packed most of their items earlier, and now they were simply dismantling the tents, bundling them together, and preparing to load the herbs and animal skins onto the backs of the beastmen’s for departure.

Lei Lu carried Wu Xiaoyin and noticed the uncontainable smiles on the faces of his tribesmen and their relaxed appearance. He said, “Hurry up and pack. We need to leave soon, and we must reach our first campsite before sunset.”

Upon hearing Lei Lu’s words, everyone moved faster, though their smiles remained intact. After quickly finishing the packing, Lei Lu transformed into his beast form, carefully placed his Xiao Xiao on his back, and let out a roar. The Giant Tiger Tribe then took off majestically into the sky and headed toward the Giant Tiger Tribe.

Ah Lu, who was lagging behind, saw the slowly dissappearing dark figures in the distance and complained subconsciously, “Li, I told you to hurry and bring me over, but you were dawdling. Look, now we’re going to miss it. I haven’t even had a chance to talk nicely to Xiao Xiao yet!”

Hearing his brother’s words, Li rolled his eyes and muttered, “You wanted to walk over yourself. If I had carried you, it would have taken no time at all…”

Hearing this, Ah Lu shot a fierce glare at Li and said, “I’m grown up now. I can’t just sit on some beastman’s back casually!”

Hearing the words “casually”, Li’s anger flared up. The calm and rational appearance he usually maintained vanished as he replied, “You’re my younger brother, and I’m your brother. We’re family. How could I be just some random beastman?”

Then without waiting for Ah Lu to retort, Li grabbed Ah Lu’s hand and headed back to the camp of the Giant Wolf Tribe. Soon after, the Giant Wolf Tribe also set off, flying northward.
