Zhan and Lan Shi had already noticed Lei Lu and his group arriving. Zhan’s complaints were just a way to test whether Lei Lu and the others would be interested in trading for the barbecue sauce. However, after hearing Xiao Kai say that he would challenge Lei Lu first and only trade if he could win, Zhan realized that the chance of getting the barbecue sauce was zero. He certainly didn’t want to take a beating for nothing. So despite appearing honest and simple-minded, the Giant Bear still had his own calculations in mind.

Wu Xiaoyin quietly observed the trading items of the Giant Bear Tribe. After seeing the large stone jars, he knew they must contain the tribe’s special honey.

Lei Lu quickly noticed Xiao Xiao’s interest. After all, he had always been attentive to Xiao Xiao. He turned to Lan Shi and said, “I would like to trade for a jar of honey using five animal skins. How does that sound?”

Lan Shi had no objections to Lei Lu’s offer and readily replied, “Of course, I’ll set aside a jar of honey for you. Just bring the animal skins to trade when you’re ready.”

Kos saw how quickly Lei Lu was trying to please the female and chimed in, “I want a jar for our Xiao Kai too. Remember to set one aside for me, I’ll trade you animal skins for it.”

However, upon hearing Kos’s words, Xiao Kai immediately got upset. He spoke, “Who says I belong to your family? I belong to my own family.” After angrily saying that, he turned to Lan Shi and added, “Don’t listen to Kos. I’ll bring my animal skins to trade for a jar of honey.”
