Lei Lu, Kos, and Feng completely ignored the sounds of everyone else’s swallowing and indulged in the roasted meat in their hands. Occasionally, they would pick at the water bamboo with pork and taro stew, but for beastmen, the satisfaction of tearing into large chunks of meat was unmatched. Especially with the barbecue sauce made by Wu Xiaoyin from the various fresh and fragrant seasonings, which enhanced the flavor of the meat by a lot.

Wu Xiaoyin sensed the eager gazes around him. After all, he had experienced the beastmen’s enthusiasm for food through Lei Lu, father Lei Yan, and their friends. However, the amount of food was prepared based on their own appetites. It wouldn’t make sense to feed others when they hadn’t had enough themselves.

Still, Wu Xiaoyin was a little worried. He felt a bit uneasy under the many watchful eyes and said to Lei Lu, “It feels uncomfortable with so many people watching us eat.”

Xiao Kai, who was unbothered about his mouth still filled with food, immediately replied after hearing what he said, “What’s the problem? It’s because this is the food you made and is so delicious, Xiao Xiao. Everyone came over because they could smell it. I’m going to eat it all, we can’t waste any.”

Hearing Xiao Kai’s words made Wu Xiaoyin smile, but he didn’t say much more. He knew his cooking skills. Home-cooked meals were usually fine, but he lacked the ability to make more refined dishes. Given the current tools and ingredients available on the Beastman Continent, he couldn’t prepare anything too complicated or elaborate.

Lei Lu threw a quick look at Xiao Kai and said to Xiao Xiao, “You should eat more  Xiao Xiao. You’ve been here for so long, yet you’re still so thin.”

As he spoke, he used his chopsticks to add several pieces of taro stew with meat into Wu Xiaoyin’s bowl. Of course, it was mostly meat. Lei Lu held onto the belief that he needed to raise Xiao Xiao to be plump and white. However, feeling Xiao Xiao’s weight in his arms, he realized this task was indeed a long way off!

Wu Xiaoyin felt touched by Lei Lu’s thoughtfulness. He picked up the meat from his bowl and decided to enjoy an extra piece of roasted meat tonight. He started to eat energetically.

As the elder, Lei Yan didn’t participate much in the younger generation’s conversations. But after observing the interaction between Lei Lu and Xiao Xiao, he felt that Lei Lu had changed a lot since Xiao Xiao’s arrival. From once being stern and unsmiling, Lei Lu now often had a smile in his eyes. It was all thanks to Xiao Xiao. Lei Yan couldn’t help but marvel that Xiao Xiao was indeed a treasure from the Beast God!

While the atmosphere was lively with everyone eating, a male from the Giant Bear Tribe approached Wu Xiaoyin. Suddenly blocked from the light, Wu Xiaoyin instinctively looked up to see a beastman wrapped in gray beast skin standing before him. Compared to him, the beastman’s large frame was imposing. He asked in doubt, “Excuse me, is there something you need?”

The newcomer was Zhan from the Giant Bear Tribe. Upon seeing the black-haired, black-eyed little female with his snow-white skin and soft voice, Zhan felt a tickle in his throat. Clearing it, he said, “Little female, I’m Zhan from the Giant Bear Tribe. Your roasted meat smells amazing, so I wanted to ask if I could trade for some of the sauce you put on it?”

He spoke while staring directly at him, his ears turning red despite his dark skin making it hard to notice.

Seeing the male opposite openly staring at Xiao Xiao in his arms, Lei Lu instinctively pulled him closer into his embrace and replied, “Sure, but what do you have to trade? You should know that this barbecue sauce is not part of the items for trade.”
