Lei Lu replied, “Aren’t the things growing in the ground wild vegetables? Look, there are green wild vegetable leaves too.”

After hearing Lei Lu’s explanation, Wu Xiaoyin was momentarily speechless. True, but “Didn’t you see how big these melons are?”

Lei Lu responded, “What grows in the ground is considered vegetables, while what grows on trees is considered fruit.”

He walked into the watermelon field, touched the vines and leaves, and noticed a layer of green salt crystals forming on them. Finally, he arrived in front of a giant watermelon. “How does it taste? Is it like coarse salt?” After asking, he extended his finger to dip it in and licked it. He couldn’t help sticking out his tongue and saying, “It’s so bitter!”

Everyone else was startled after hearing this. Could it be that this was not the target they were looking for? But they noticed giant rats around, licking the leaves without fear. What was going on?

Hearing Kos, Wu Xiaoyin quickly pulled back his hand and dipped it again in the watermelon juice, tasting it himself. Now he understood why Kos had exclaimed about the bitterness. He explained, “This is because the salt content in these giant watermelons is too high, which makes it very bitter. If diluted, the taste should be similar to the coarse salt we usually use.”

After speaking, he also sampled some salt crystals from the leaves and vines. After tasting it, he discovered that the concentration wasn’t very high and had a fresh vegetable flavor, which was quite unique. He nodded in approval.

However, he didn’t notice that Lei Lu’s eyes were turning green. When he tasted Xiao Xiao’s finger, his heart nearly jumped out of his chest. Xiao Xiao’s fingers were so soft and sweet! But he was taken aback when Xiao Xiao put his fingers back in his own mouth and licked them with his little tongue. Lei Lu was fixated on his every move, thinking how he wanted to kiss Xiao Xiao’s little mouth fiercely!
