Transmigrating to the Beastman Continent to Live a Happy Life - Chapter 150
When Wu Xiaoyin finally woke up, it was already the next evening. He gently shook his groggy head, trying to open his eyes and take in his surroundings. Suddenly, he heard Lei Lu’s slightly hoarse voice beside his ear, “Xiao Xiao, how are you feeling? Does it hurt?”
Turning towards the sound, he noticed the fatigue in Lei Lu’s eyes illuminated by the moonlight through the window and the fire in the room. Wu Xiaoyin said softly, “You look so tired. Have you not rested at all?”
Lei Lu stroked Xiao Xiao’s head and replied, “No, I took a nap and just got up. Don’t talk yet. Let me get you some water and food.” He hurried to the kitchen and returned with a wooden tray loaded with various foods. He quickly placed it on a small moving table and fed Xiao Xiao bite by bite.
After eating and freshening up, Wu Xiaoyin felt much better and asked, “What about the babies? How are they?”
Lei Lu was pleased that Xiao Xiao’s first thought was of him and not their cubs. Thinking of the cubs who had finished eating and were sleeping in the next room, he smiled slightly and replied, “They’re fine. They just had some juice from the giant pink fruit and are sleeping now. I’ll bring them over for you to see.”
Wu Xiaoyin watched as Lei Lu brought over three fluffy little tigers. All of them were in matching color of Lei Lu’s fur. They would certainly be very handsome spotted tigers when they grow up. He took one in his hands and stared at him intently. Wu Xiaoyin couldn’t believe that these little creatures had come from him. The reality of giving birth settled in his mind. These cute little tigers, even though their fur was still short and not fully developed, already had a hint of pink skin showing through.
What delighted Wu Xiaoyin the most was having three little tigers instead of just two. This was an unexpected surprise. He had already been surprised to learn he was having twins, so the arrival of a third was really a blessing!
As Wu Xiaoyin happily held one of the little tigers, they all caught the scent of their dad and woke up. The little tiger in Wu Xiaoyin’s hands managed to lick his dad’s palm, making soft and inaudible sounds. The other two little tigers in Lei Lu’s grasp were determined to get closer to their dad that they even attempted to leap from Lei Lu’s hands to reach Wu Xiaoyin.
Lei Lu smiled at the two cubs in his hands and said to Xiao Xiao, “Looks like you’ll have to take turns holding them, look at them!”
Wu Xiaoyin laughed at Lei Lu’s contradicting look. Lei Lu’s eyes were full of affection and his movements were gentle, but the words he said sounded disgusted. “How about I hold all three of them? But which one is the eldest, the second, and the youngest?”
Lei Lu was momentarily at a loss. He hadn’t paid attention during Xiao Xiao’s birth. The priest directly took the cubs and handed them to Xi and others. How could he pay attention to the condition of the cubs? Now he couldn’t differentiate between them. So, he casually replied, “Whoever is the strongest and fights the best when they grow up will be the eldest.” Then he nodded, proud of his reasoning.
Wu Xiaoyin looked at the humming tiny tiger in his hands and the two squirming in Lei Lu’s arms. His face turned dark, thinking about how these newborns were already not liked by their father.
However, Lei Lu was quite pleased with his idea. Beastmen had a strong desire for power, especially among brothers. They always wanted to prove themselves. With repeated challenges, they could strengthen themselves. The most important thing was that the cubs wouldn’t compete with him for Xiao Xiao’s affection!
Seeing the cubs in Lei Lu’s arms trying to get to him, Wu Xiaoyin placed the one he was holding on his lap and reached for the two in Lei Lu’s hands. He asked, “What should we name them? We never even thought about it beforehand. Well, I spent most of my time sleeping.”
Lei Lu watched as Xiao Xiao played with the three cubs on his lap. The little ones desperately tried to crawl to him, while Xiao Xiao seemed to enjoy their antics, laughing from time to time at their efforts. Lei Lu finally relaxed and remembered the priest’s advice. Xiao Xiao needed some time to recover, and he might experience drowsiness during this period.
Lei Lu sighed silently and shifted his focus from the cubs to Xiao Xiao. He noticed Xiao Xiao’s head bobbing slightly, his eyes closing. He was obliviously falling asleep again. He gently moved the noisy cubs away from Xiao Xiao’s lap to the side, settled Xiao Xiao comfortably, covered him with a blanket, and then placed the three cubs in a crib in the next room. Watching them feel tired from playing and fall asleep, Lei Lu also washed up quickly before lying down beside Xiao Xiao. He held him tightly as he drifted off to sleep.
