“With money, it’s for sale! With money, it’s for sale!”

“Just 1 yuan, and you can have it!”

“Come and take a look, come and take a look, everything is on sale at a cheap price!”

Accompanied by the buzzing shouts from downstairs, Wu Xiaoyin fell into sleep. Just moments before losing consciousness, Wu Xiaoyin was still thinking about visiting the new rented house after receiving his graduation certificate tomorrow. After all, the rented house was closer to his workplace. He could see what was missing and buy the necessary items from the nearby supermarket. He was finally about to start a whole new life.

However, when the chirping of insects and the morning breeze awakened Wu Xiaoyin, the surroundings left him at a loss. Just one centimeter away from his eyes, there was a magnificent giant tiger staring straight at him with its enormous eyes. Wu Xiaoyin’s mind went blank in an instant, thinking that this must be God ending his life!

In the next moment, Wu Xiaoyin struggled to swallow a mouthful of saliva and tilted his head slightly. This tiger was ten times larger than the one he had seen in “Animal World.” Its eyes, staring at Wu Xiaoyin, were as big as his head. It was truly an imposing sight!

Not only did it feel like an eternity, but Wu Xiaoyin also felt an unbearable soreness in his eyes. Tears even streamed down on his thin face. Accepting the thought of dying early and being reincarnated, Wu Xiaoyin gave up trying to struggle. After all, compared to the speed of this gigantic tiger, running away would be simply seeking death, and there was nothing worth clinging to in this world anyway.

At the age of seven, after his parents’ divorce, the only evidence of his parents’ existence was the monthly account statement that proved their financial support. A nanny took care of Wu Xiaoyin until he turned sixteen, then he started living on his own. As a result, the family love, which is considered the strongest bond in the world, was non-existent for him.

Of course, Wu Xiaoyin had once yearned deeply for family affection. After all, the loneliness and restlessness of living alone are things that ordinary people cannot understand. However, when Wu Xiaoyin learned his parents’ address from their friends, he discovered that his parents who were either silent or arguing freely in his memories, could laugh so freely and genuinely in front of others. And the way his parents looked at their own children after remarriage was so gentle and loving.

Wu Xiaoyin couldn’t help but doubt if his parents in his memories actually existed.

Since then, Wu Xiaoyin never expected to gain anything other than money from his parents.

As for love, it seemed that Wu Xiaoyin’s body never secreted an excessive amount of dopamine. He had never experienced the feeling of rapid breathing and accelerated heartbeat. Perhaps his parents’ lives exerted too much negative energy on Wu Xiaoyin, and he held a pessimistic attitude towards love. Love either existed for the sake of convenience and commitment in life or it was driven by the desire for reproduction and the lure of money, serving as a necessary existence.

Therefore, for Wu Xiaoyin, love was an absent thing in his life. Yes, it was neither a luxury that was desirable but unattainable, nor a necessity that came with possession. It was something that he didn’t believe in and couldn’t possibly believe in.

Lastly, regarding friendship, it was the most difficult thing for Wu Xiaoyin during his school years. He couldn’t understand why boys would tirelessly pursue certain goddesses or innocent school beauties during their youth. He couldn’t find any interest or joy in those seemingly passionate games that consumed their time day and night to the point where they neglect their sleep and meals. The fleeting moment of pleasure and sense of achievement they obtained disappeared too quickly, leaving them with no time to grasp it. In the end, it resulted in a complete disappointment. Wu Xiaoyin admitted that he couldn’t blend into such strange pleasures and joys of life.
