Let me know what you think! Rate and comment if you liked it, otherwise, no worries."

Hua Cancan’s expression turned serious, two questions arose in her mind.

What did Nangong Jin mean?

Did his “excitement” refer to me liking good women, or did he know something?

Thinking this, Hua Cancan looked at Jiang Jiaotao again.

Jiang Jiaotao had stood up, but kept her head lowered, her expression hidden.

“Speaking of thrills, who could compare to Mr. Nangong?” Bian Yingning said slowly, placing her wine glass on the table with a thud, like a hammer striking someone’s heart.

“You’ve done everything the law forbids, it’s quite thrilling,” Bian Yingning looked directly at Nangong Jin, their eyes meeting, both seeing hostility in the other’s eyes.

“Miss Bian, you need evidence. I, Nangong Jin, am upright and aboveboard. My lawyer wouldn’t agree with you saying this.”

“Heh,” Bian Yingning sneered, as if to herself, “Apparently, if you don’t speak up, people think you don’t have anything.”

Nangong Jin’s eyes were like knives, piercing Bian Yingning.

Did she have leverage over me?

Regarding Hua Jiangrong, he was sure he hadn’t left any clues, it must be a bluff.

“Seeing the wealthy women of H City, he wants to take a bite. Unfortunately, a wild boar wouldn’t understand that roses have thorns. After being pricked, he slinks away, trying to find his pathetic confidence elsewhere…

Tsk tsk, he really doesn’t know his place.”

After Bian Yingning’s sarcastic remarks, Nangong Jin clenched his fists, “Miss Bian, you’re sharp-tongued and act without considering others’ feelings. I’ve learned something today.

And the Bian family behind you is powerful. You can frame anyone, just like now, Just like now, Miss Bian rushed into my private room, and I only dared to pour you wine.”

Jiang Jiaotao suddenly looked up.

She wasn’t stupid. Although Nangong Jin’s words were vague, she pieced together the meaning.

Her supervisor said Nangong Jin was a powerful person not to be offended, but the Bian family seemed even more powerful. And Bian Yingning… her surname was Bian, a Bian family member?

Considering her extravagant spending… there was nothing left to misunderstand.

The story about good sisters learning pole dancing to find sugar daddies was all fake, all lies.

Liar.

Bian Yingning knew she had been exposed, but didn’t look at Jiang Jiaotao, “Barged into your private room? I knocked, and you invited me in. Why are you changing your story so quickly, Mr. Nangong?”

“Speaking of twisting facts and framing people, who could compare to Mr. Nangong?”

“I’ve just started taking over the Bian family. Mr. Nangong, you’ve been in charge of the Nangong family for a while, there’s much I need to learn from you.”

Compared to Nangong Jin’s suppressed rage, Bian Yingning appeared very relaxed.

Her nonchalant attitude fueled Nangong Jin’s anger.

“Miss Bian’s willingness to learn is commendable, but with a beauty present, perhaps Miss Bian should come another time.”

Nangong Jin beckoned Jiang Jiaotao, spreading his legs and patting his thigh, gesturing for her to sit, “With a beauty here, how can I ignore Miss Peach?”

Jiang Jiaotao’s face turned pale, “Excuse me, sir, I only dance, I’ll find a server for you.”

She turned to leave.

“Stop.” Nangong Jin said.

“Why look far when what you want is right here.”

Jiang Jiaotao paused.

Then she refused again, “Sorry, sir, that’s not in my job description.”

She didn’t take the money Nangong Jin had thrown on the table and continued walking.

As she opened the door, two bodyguards blocked her, pushing her back.

“Aren’t Miss Bian and Miss Hua leaving?” Nangong Jin didn’t look at Bian Yingning but dismissed them.

Hua Cancan didn’t move, watching Jiang Jiaotao.

Bian Yingning stood up, yawning, “We’re leaving. What’s the point of watching you force someone into prostitution? It makes me sick. I might throw up if I stay longer.”

She took two steps forward, “She doesn’t like you, and you’re forcing her. It’s shameful.”

Nangong Jin’s chest heaved, “Forcing someone into prostitution? She’s a prostitute, why pretend to be chaste?”

What was Bian Yingning trying to do? No matter what he did, she had to interfere. What was her goal?

“Miss Bian might have misunderstood. Miss Peach is just shy because you’re here. I know how proactive she is in private.”

Like in my past life.

Jiang Jiaotao had heard such words before, but never like this, making her want to kill the speaker.

“You dog, watch your mouth! Did you just eat something foul? Your words stink!” Hua Cancan slammed the table and stood up.

Her guess hadn’t been confirmed. If it was true, the Hua family wouldn’t be at Nangong Jin’s mercy.

While they were talking, Bian Yingning texted someone, then put away her phone, her eyes on the wine bottles.

“Why is Miss Hua so agitated? I’m not talking about you. You’re a wealthy heiress, a pole dancer is nothing to you… ah, —”

Before Nangong Jin finished, Hua Cancan kicked the table corner. The table moved forward, hitting Nangong Jin’s knee.

That wasn’t the main reason for Nangong Jin’s scream.

As Hua Cancan moved, Bian Yingning did too.

She grabbed a wine bottle and smashed it on Nangong Jin’s head, “You have a foul mouth, I’ve tolerated you for a long time!”

It happened quickly. The bar’s atmosphere was already intense, music, lights, alcohol…

Everything numbed people’s minds, leading to impulsiveness. Things people wouldn’t normally do became easy.

When Nangong Jin covered his bleeding head, Gu Heji finally reacted, “What are you two doing!”

The servers had already run away, the DJ went to get help, and bodyguards came in. Hua Cancan pulled Jiang Jiaotao to her side.

“Those three women, attack them,” Nangong Jin, clutching his head, ordered the bodyguards.

The bodyguards looked at each other and charged at Bian Yingning and Hua Cancan.

A brawl ensued.

Bian Yingning and Hua Cancan grabbed anything they could find and threw it at them.

The sound of crashing filled the room.

But the bottles ran out. Although it was two against two, men were stronger.

When a bodyguard grabbed Bian Yingning’s collar and punched her in the stomach, a wave of pain washed over her.

Bian Yingning collapsed, cold sweat pouring down.

“Heh, what are you? Think you’re some kind of heiress?” Nangong Jin, clutching his head, walked over, his face bloody, like a devil from hell.

He squatted in front of Bian Yingning, “What do you want? Why are you against me?” This question had haunted him, driving him crazy.

Seeing Bian Yingning silent, he grabbed her hair, forcing her to look up, “What? Weren’t you very arrogant just now? Why are you silent now?”

Her scalp ached, but Bian Yingning smirked, “Don’t fall into my hands.”

Nangong Jin frowned, letting go of her hair and slapping her.

Bian Yingning was dizzy, and the system issued a loud alarm, a red triangle flashing, “Detecting host needs, recommending exchange…”

“Exchange, everything recommended.”

Bian Yingning’s vision blurred. After saying this, the pain disappeared.

Nangong Jin tried to grab her hair again, but Bian Yingning punched him in the face.

The pain made him fall to the ground.

Blood flowed from his nose.

“Bian Yingning!”

Bian Yingning, whose name was gritted out, pounced on Nangong Jin, punching him in the head, face, and body.

“It’s all because of you! If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be here!”

Nangong Jin covered his head, blocking her attacks.

In this moment, there was no Bian family heiress or Nangong heir, only two people venting their anger.

The bodyguard who stopped Hua Cancan and Jiang Jiaotao saw that Nangong Jin was beaten, and quickly let go of them and rushed towards Bian Yingning.

Bian Yingningye had no choice but to let go of Nangong Jin and fight with the two bodyguards.

When Bian Yingning dealt with the bodyguard in front of her, she was kicked in the ankle by someone behind her, and she fell forward due to the force.

The bodyguard came over and wanted to kick her a few more times, but before he could do so, he was hit hard again and again by someone with a pair of thick platform high heels.

The bodyguard let Bian Yingning go for the time being, turned around and grabbed Jiang Jiaotao’s hand, twisted it hard, and then kicked her away.

The bodyguard let go of Bian Yingning and grabbed Jiang Jiaotao, twisting her arm and kicking Bian Yingning away.

Bian Yingning didn’t feel any pain, but she fell because of the force.

The next second, she got up, grabbed the bodyguard who had hit Jiang Jiaotao, and threw him over her shoulder, then kicked him repeatedly.

Crack—a rib breaking.

Gu Heji, who had been watching, was stunned. Seeing Bian Yingning’s enraged state, he panicked, grabbing a long pillow from the sofa and strangling Bian Yingning.

The air thinned, breathing became difficult. Bian Yingning pulled the pillow, but Gu Heji tightened his grip.

Bian Yingning glanced back, quickly leaning against Gu Heji, kicking him in the groin.

As he let go to cover his groin, she spun and kicked him in the face.

Ignoring them, Bian Yingning looked at Nangong Jin, who was sitting on the ground, stunned by her sudden outburst.

His swollen face still held that smirk.

Bian Yingning walked towards Nangong Jin, picking up a broken wine bottle, approaching him, the sharp glass pointed at his face.

“Tell me your secret,” she whispered.

Nangong Jin’s usually cold eyes were filled with surprise.

“You’re not Bian Yingning…” he murmured.

The music was still playing, but only they were in this corner. Everything had happened in less than five minutes.

“Are you Nangong Jin?” Bian Yingning pressed the glass closer, “Tell me, are you Nangong Jin?”

Nangong Jin tilted his head, trying to distance himself from the sharp object, “I am, I’ve always been Nangong Jin!”

“What was Bian Yingning’s ending? What happened to the Bian family?”

This question was more for herself than for Nangong Jin.

The original novel was just a story, with only two main characters.

But in her world, everyone was a main character.

She only knew Ji Xiaoxue and Nangong Jin’s story from the novel; the other female supporting characters were just side characters.

Not everyone’s story was recorded.

Nangong Jin didn’t speak. Hearing Bian Yingning’s question, his eyes were vacant, as if recalling or imagining something.

It was all because of Nangong Jin that she had returned to this world.

If… if there were no Nangong Jin, wouldn’t everything end?

The system only asked her to save the female supporting characters, but wasn’t it Nangong Jin who had driven them to such a desperate situation?

If Nangong Jin were gone… everything would be solved.

[Host, please note, this thought is unacceptable!]

[Nangong Jin may be wrong, but we shouldn’t judge him. Our mission is to save the female supporting characters. Host, please don’t forget your initial intention!]

Initial intention?

I was about to forget who I was, how could I remember my initial intention?

The glass pierced the skin, blood spurting out.

Bian Yingning suddenly remembered Nangong Jin’s words.

“Sweet and juicy.”

“Juicy, indeed juicy.”

“Bian Yingning.”

Bian Yingning’s bodyguards guarded the door, preventing anyone from entering, including the bar’s security.

Shang Qinghui entered the room and was shocked by the scene.

She rushed to pull Bian Yingning’s hand away, but Bian Yingning retracted her hand first.

Shang Qinghui looked at Nangong Jin; only a slight cut was on his neck.

She breathed a sigh of relief.

The room was filled with the scent of perfume and alcohol, covering the faint smell of blood.

…

At the hospital, Shang Qinghui sat alone in the corridor.

When Bian’s parents and the Hua family arrived, she stood up.

“What happened… what happened to Yingning?” Bian’s mother asked Shang Qinghui.

Shang Qinghui smiled gently, her smile soothing, “She’s fine… the doctor just wants her to have more checkups.”

Bian’s parents breathed a sigh of relief, “She’s getting more and more unruly, always causing trouble at bars!”

“Tell us what happened.”

Shang Qinghui looked troubled, “I’m sorry, I don’t know the details. I just arrived at the bar and saw her bodyguards running upstairs.

I recognized them and followed, then… I sent them to the hospital.”

She had actually found out some information about Jiang Jiaotao, knowing she worked at Queens Bar, so she wanted to meet her and ask her connection with Bian Yingning.

As she said, she saw Bian Yingning’s bodyguards and followed them.

Bian Yingning’s appearance…

She didn’t know what grudge existed between her and Nangong Jin.

…

With Shang Qinghui present, Bian Yingning and Nangong Jin’s incident was kept secret. No one spoke about how it happened or why they fought.

Bian Yingning didn’t speak, Nangong Jin didn’t speak, Hua Cancan didn’t speak… everyone wanted to know the truth but couldn’t.

Hua Cancan was hospitalized, Hua’s parents and Hua Jiangrong came, and they saw Jiang Jiaotao. Even after Bian Yingning was discharged, she didn’t receive any messages from them.

Bian Yingning had a hunch.

She knew how much Jiang Jiaotao had suffered. If she could live a good life, it wouldn’t be in vain.

The happiness she didn’t get in the original novel, she hoped to give her now.

Before Bian Yingning was discharged, she met Nangong Jin on the hospital rooftop.

They looked at the sky, neither knowing what the other was thinking.

“I, Nangong Jin, will get what I deserve.”

“Let’s see about that.”

A declaration of war.

…

Bian Yingning had lost weight recently.

Not from hunger, but from studying and managing the family business, she was like a spinning top.

The autumn night was cold.

Bian Yingning left evening classes, putting on her coat before leaving the classroom.

She didn’t like crowds, waiting for everyone to leave before packing up.

Leaving the classroom, Shang Qinghui was leaning against the door, waiting for her.

Don’t ask how she knew, the classroom was empty. Bian Yingning almost jumped when she saw her.

“What are you doing?” She looked like she saw a ghost.

Shang Qinghui: “…”

“Come have a late-night snack with me.”

“No.” Bian Yingning refused and walked away.

“Why?” Shang Qinghui followed.

“Who eats late-night snacks at this time?” Bian Yingning walked forward.

Shang Qinghui checked the time, 9:30 PM.

What was wrong with eating late-night snacks at this time?

“When should we eat then?”

“After 12.”

“Okay, let’s eat at 12.”

“I need to sleep at 11,” Bian Yingning checked her phone; she had many business decisions to make.

Shang Qinghui: “?”

Why didn’t she just refuse?

Hua Cancan hadn’t come to class, Bian Yingning messaged her, saying they should chat.

She didn’t reply.

Bian Yingning secretly asked the system, which said her coordinates were in the countryside.

What was she doing? She couldn’t be living in seclusion.

Bian Yingning walked a few steps, realizing Shang Qinghui wasn’t following. She turned around, Shang Qinghui standing a few steps behind, frowning and looking at her.

Her large eyes were too cute, Bian Yingning couldn’t resist.

So—

At a roadside barbecue stall, Bian Yingning pulled her coat tighter, watching Shang Qinghui excitedly ordering barbecue, feeling she might have changed.

“Why are you so strange lately?” Bian Yingning asked first.

Shang Qinghui, ordering food, “???”

“Am I cute?” she asked, puzzled.

Bian Yingning took a sip of water to calm herself.

“Tell me, what do you want?” Bian Yingning asked, putting down her cup.

Logically speaking, why would a young lady like Shang Qinghui come to a roadside stall like this to eat? Bian Yingning looked up, wanting to see whether it was the moon or the sun that came out tonight.

The moon was full, hanging overhead.

“What do you want?” Shang Qinghui was writing something, looking busy, “Do you want some sanma?”

“…Yes.” Sanma was delicious, who wouldn’t want it?

“You asked me to eat barbecue… and late-night snacks?” Bian Yingning didn’t believe her.

“Any questions?”

“…There is.”

“Keep it to yourself, don’t ask.” domineering Shang Qinghui.

Bian Yingning: “…? We’re not that close, are we?”

She didn’t seem like the type to be friendly with strangers.

“Are we close just because we’re eating barbecue?” Shang Qinghui finally finished ordering, giving the menu to the owner, strangely asking.

Bian Yingning was about to go crazy, “Do you know how much money I make per minute?”

Shang Qinghui frowned, “You?”

“???”

“Are you asking for a beating?”

Bian Yingning realized the truth; she had been too busy recently, Hua Cancan was gone, no one was arguing with her, she was itching for a fight.

Because she was lonely, she came looking for a fight.

Shang Qinghui pursed her lips, taking a breath, “Fine, if you want to talk business, let’s talk.”

“What’s your grudge against Nangong Jin? What happened between you? Why did you fight last time? Why did you look like you wanted to kill him?
