Bian Yingning left school and went to her family’s five-star hotel for an A5 Wagyu sirloin steak before returning home.

She still wasn’t used to eating without paying.

Just as she stepped inside, a figure in the living room abruptly stood up, glaring at her and shouting, “Bian Yingning, you know how to come back?”

The woman wore a form-fitting V-neck mustard yellow dress. Her short, retro-style curly hair arced in the air as she moved, her impressive cleavage also eye-catching.

Zhuo Yi appeared from somewhere, changing Bian Yingning’s slippers and reminding her, “Miss, Miss Hua is here to see you.”

Bian Yingning: “…”

That woman was standing there shouting her name; didn’t she realize she was the one she was looking for? Couldn’t she offer some useful information?

“Hua Cancan, the third Miss Hua. She has an older brother and sister. The Hua family’s business is in information and media,” the system communicated with Bian Yingning through brainwaves.

“She’s been a longtime friend of the original owner, often in cahoots. She’s currently a sophomore in the journalism department at Haicheng University.”

Oh, she’s studying the same major I had.

“Why didn’t you reply to my messages or answer my calls?” Hua Cancan stormed over, and Bian Yingning’s eyes involuntarily fell to her bouncing chest.

Is that a real 36D?

“What are you looking at? It’s not yours!” Hua Cancan noticed Bian Yingning’s gaze, covering herself and stopping, as if afraid Bian Yingning would lunge at her.

Bian Yingning changed her shoes, not knowing how to explain. She walked past Hua Cancan and went inside.

Since arriving, she hadn’t dared to eat at home, afraid someone would discover her changed personality. She hadn’t touched the original owner’s phone, leaving it on silent.

She believed that as long as she didn’t look, she didn’t need to deal with the original owner’s social circle.

If Hua Cancan was close to the original owner, wouldn’t she be more easily discovered?

“Talk! You’re usually so chatty, why are you a mute today?” Hua Cancan, having said so much and seeing Bian Yingning hadn’t uttered a word, looked at her strangely.

“Sigh,” Bian Yingning sighed, “I’m in a bad mood. I don’t want to socialize.”

Hua Cancan rolled her eyes, grabbing her arm and looking at her head, “I heard you were hit on the head saving that little b**** from the Shang family?”

Bian Yingning raised her hand to cover her hat, “Who told you that?”

“Who else? Your hotel’s advertisements are all over her family’s construction site. Doesn’t that mean your two families are as close as sisters? ”

Bian Yingning stroked her chin, “You went to the construction site?”

Hua Cancan: “…”

…

Bian’s mother went out for a spa. Bian Yingning finally got rid of Hua Cancan, rejecting her invitation for drinks that night. After returning to her room and closing the door, she finally took out the original owner’s phone.

She had selectively ignored other unread messages when texting Shang Qinghui.

Looking closely now, she had a lot of messages.

Wow, she knew a lot of people.

“Honey, it’s recommended that the host immerse herself in this world. The path to accumulating points is long, and it’s uncertain how long it will take. If the host continues to approach this with a detached attitude, it will be detrimental to completing the tasks.”

In the quiet room, the system’s voice suddenly rang out.

Bian Yingning paused her scrolling, saying nothing.

…

The next day.

Bian Yingning had quite a few classes today.

Zhuo Yi woke her up at seven in the morning. She managed Bian Yingning’s daily life and knew her schedule perfectly.

Bian Yingning sat up with her eyes closed, sighing deeply.

It turned out that even rich people need to study.

Her schedule was actually quite full, considering she was taking two majors. It was just that she had fewer classes in the first few weeks.

At school, she chose a corner seat, propping her chin up to watch the teacher lecture for over an hour on what seemed like an incomprehensible wine management theory.

When it came time for a two-hour lecture, she finally couldn’t take it anymore. As soon as she sat down in the tiered classroom, she fell asleep.

This was an administrative class held twice each semester, usually with several classes together, and the content was the same for the whole school.

Therefore, the classes were mixed, scheduled according to times when there were no major classes.

Shang Qinghui, surrounded by her friends, had just reached a corridor turn when one of her friends asked doubtfully, “Is that Bian Yingning up ahead?”

She looked up from her phone.

Ahead, a person drifting like a ghost, casually dressed in jeans and a colorful shirt, wearing a baseball cap—she would recognize her even turned to ash.

“We have class with them?” another friend asked.

One immediately checked the class schedule on her phone: “Holy crap, it’s really with their sophomore hotel management class.”

They all stopped and looked at Shang Qinghui.

Shang Qinghui put away her phone and lifted her chin: “What are you looking at me for? Let’s go.”

Hah, what a joke. Just because Bian Yingning was in this class, I wouldn’t skip it. Why should I?

Shang Qinghui entered the classroom without looking, pretending to search for a seat and surveying the room.

She didn’t see Bian Yingning.

She frowned, her baby-fat face puffing up.

Did she see wrong? That shouldn’t be the case.

“Qingqing, let’s sit at the back; it’s easier to use our phones,” her friends suggested.

Shang Qinghui absentmindedly nodded, following them to the back.

Then she saw a Christmas tree-like figure in the corner, wearing a baseball cap.

“Let’s sit here.” Shang Qinghui sat down in the row behind and slightly to the side of Bian Yingning.

Shang Qinghui’s friends always obeyed her, so they had no objections.

Using the pretense of looking at the whiteboard, Shang Qinghui glanced at Bian Yingning.

Bian Yingning was motionless, like she was dead.

…

Fifty-one minutes into the class, the esteemed old professor was still analyzing the current global situation.

Shang Qinghui looked at Bian Yingning for the thirty-eighth time; Bian Yingning was still asleep.

Is she really dead?

Shang Qinghui couldn’t help but wonder.

Even during the ten-minute break, when everyone was chatting, getting up, and going to the restroom, she remained asleep. She hadn’t even changed her position. Even a pig would turn over.

Her head wound hadn’t healed, perhaps causing complications, leading to dizziness, drowsiness, and unlike her, lacking social connections, she lay there alone, miserably, and finally died quietly—

Shang Qinghui had already imagined Bian Yingning’s story.

“Let’s have a student answer this true-false question; it’ll also serve as attendance.”

The old professor skillfully opened a random number generator: “Let’s draw… well, today there are only sophomores from the hotel management department, so let’s draw from Hotel Management Class 1.”

The professor pressed start, and the numbers on the screen began to scroll rapidly. Everyone held their breath, afraid of being selected.

“Oh, number thirty-six. Please have the student with number thirty-six from Hotel Management Class 1 answer this question.”

The classroom was silent in response.

“Is this student absent?” The professor checked the attendance sheet.

Shang Qinghui heard someone whispering, “Number thirty-six? Is that Sister Ning? Did she come today? Did she call in sick?”

“I think I saw her.”

“Should we tell the teacher she’s absent?”

“Number thirty-six, Bian Yingning.” The professor found the corresponding name.

His expression was somewhat subtle as he read the name; he hadn’t expected to draw this student.

Ji Xiaoxue, sitting in the front row, paused slightly and immediately looked back for Bian Yingning.

“Is that Sister Ning?”

“It seems so.”

Amidst the whispers, Bian Yingning was awakened in full view of everyone.

“Sister Ning, the teacher called on you to answer a question.”

The administrative class was only held twice a semester. If they missed class and got caught, they would automatically fail the course at the end of the semester.

Failing meant no credits, and this class was difficult to make up. If the teacher was serious, it would cause problems later on with graduation.

Bian Yingning, who had been sleepless the night before and was now sound asleep, suddenly opened her eyes and stood up, but her vision was still blurry.

She lowered her head, her index finger against her forehead, appearing calm.

She vaguely met the professor’s gaze, waiting for her answer. Her slightly dry lips parted slightly: “I choose A.”

The professor, who had been teaching for many years, looked at the true-false question on the screen, seeming to reflect on something.

Bian Yingning used her index finger to push back her bangs.

Didn’t expect that, huh? I like A!

It’s just answering a question; just choose one.

Huh? Why are there only checkmarks and crosses?

A leading snicker was followed by bursts of laughter from the surrounding students. Even with Bian Yingning’s “renowned reputation,” they couldn’t control themselves.

A sweet voice came from behind and to the side: “A? What A? Your own A-cup?”

The voice was low, just loud enough for Bian Yingning to hear.

Bian Yingning turned around and met Shang Qinghui’s challenging almond-shaped eyes.

“Sorry, teacher. I’m used to doing tests, and usually, the correct answer for true-false questions is A for true and B for false. I didn’t see clearly. I’m very sorry.” Bian Yingning didn’t argue with Shang Qinghui first; she politely explained to the teacher.

Everyone watched as she, with sleep-induced red marks on her face, told a blatant lie.

…

After class, Shang Qinghui didn’t move; she waited for Bian Yingning to retaliate.

She had just made things difficult for Bian Yingning. Given Bian Yingning’s vengeful nature, she would definitely come to confront her.

Therefore, as everyone packed up and prepared to leave, the entire second-to-last row of girls sat motionless.

Ji Xiaoxue ran up, a backpack on her back, her face full of excitement: “Senior, what a coincidence! We’re actually in the same class.”

Bian Yingning picked up her bag and left without looking back, completely ignoring Shang Qinghui: “It is quite a coincidence.”

She hadn’t noticed that this was a mixed-class.

“Senior, are you going to eat now? Do you want to go together?”

What Bian Yingning replied, Shang Qinghui couldn’t hear. Almost everyone had left the classroom. Her friends exchanged glances, seeing her with a sullen face; no one dared to get up, and no one dared to speak.
