It was fleeting that it was invisible to the naked eye.

This bead seems to be quite old.

She then pinched the bead and asked the stall owner, “How much is this?”

The stall owner swatted a mosquito on his leg, quickly glanced up, then went back to his work. “Five thousand.”

Sheng Fei nodded, but from the stall owner’s expression, she could tell this was not a valuable item.

Sheng Fei blinked, “How about five yuan?”

“You’re just kidding with me, girl. That’s not how you bargain.” The stall owner waved his hand impatiently. It was clear that the man thought she was a little comrade and could easily be taken advantage of.

“At least three thousand, otherwise I won’t even cover the cost price. I’m telling you, this is a good item.”

Sheng Fei’s smile deepened, and the cold light in her eyes made the stall owner pause. “Three yuan!”

The stall owner sighed again, “Alright, alright, five yuan it is, one hand for the money and the other for the goods.”

After handing over the money, Sheng Fei smiled secretly.

Antique dealing and gambling do seem quite similar after all. If she didn’t have the ability to absorb energy, she probably would have thought this was just an aluminum alloy.

The stall owner sighed outwardly, but was inwardly elated.

His cost price for most of these items was less than a yuan, some even just a few cents, and some were simply picked up.

After all, in this era, five yuan was already a day’s worth of food money.

Coincidentally, this stall was right next to the old man’s stall. He saw Sheng Fei pay five yuan without blinking, and painfully slapped his own thigh. It seems he had misjudged.

This young comrade seems to have quite a bit of money. Usually, who would spend a few yuan to buy these broken old things that are neither good-looking nor useful?

The antique industry in Qinghe County was still fairly developed. Most of those who came here were unemployed drifters, small-time gangsters, or elderly folk. Some would be smoking, playing chess or Go nearby.

Someone like Sheng Fei, a young comrade, was indeed really rare. So as she walked along, she attracted quite a few glances.

But most people just gave her a quick look and paid no further attention.

After all, Sheng Fei currently looked like she had just rolled in a haystack, with a dirty face. How could she have money to spend here? She most likely just tagged along with an adult to gain some experience.

Sheng Fei held the “carbon alloy” bead, occasionally stroking it. The bead was about the size of a baby’s fist. If Sheng Fei was not mistaken, it should be an item from the Song Dynasty with a certain collection value.

The girl walked on, stopping here and there, finally stopping in front of a antique shop.

There were two elderly men playing Go by the side of the shop. They completely ignored Sheng Fei and focused on their game. Sheng Fei entered the shop and saw a middle-aged man fondly caressing a Buddhist beads, murmuring to himself.

“Selling.” Sheng Fei placed the bead down, her eyes fixed on the man.

The man only gave it a glance before lowering his eyelids, “This is a imitation bead, it looks like an item from the Western Zhou Dynasty, but it’s not.”

Sheng Fei was unperturbed, “Look closer at the craftsmanship. Whether it’s the the carving and the markings, they are also imitations of the Song Dynasty!”

The man listened to the girl’s words, his eyes lighting up. He examined it carefully for a while and then finally shook his head with a frown. “Unfortunately, it’s severely damaged, not worth much. Seeing that you have good eye, I can give you at most 800.”

Sheng Fei hooked her lips in a slight smile. Just from his micro-expressions, she knew that he wasn’t telling the truth. The man’s subtle movements had already given himself away.
