“Okay, I’m done with cleaning, let’s go out to eat.”

Lu Da and Lu Er looked at Sheng Fei who was cleaning up the house, and then they left one after the other.

As soon as they went out, they saw Lu San Ya’s worried eyes. Lu Da explained, “I’m fine, let’s go eat.”

Lu San Ya glanced back at the house where Sheng Fei was staying, and a gleam flasher in her eyes.

After Sheng Fei finished cleaning up the house, the five children had already finished their meal and washed the bowls. They were sensible that it made people feel sorry for them. Sheng Fei took the snacks she had bought in the county and gave them to the children.

As an adult, she was not as greedy for these snacks as the original owner. These were originally prepared for the children.

There were small packages of spicy strips, soybean, strange-flavored beans, sugar beans, and sugar cubes. When Sheng Fei took them out, the five children’s eyes lit up. Xiao Wu blinked his eyes, “Auntie, can I have a little bit? Just a little bit!”

He gestured with his little finger. Sheng Fei patted his hand, “Eat up, these are all for you. I’ll buy more in the future, so don’t worry about not having enough to eat. Remember, these are just snacks, not to be eaten as meals.”

As soon as Sheng Fei left, the five children cheered and scrambled to eat.

The five children lived in their parents’ room, while Sheng Fei and Lu Ting’s room was built later.

Sheng Fei thought that she didn’t have any welcoming gifts, so she took out five handkerchiefs from her backpack, wanting to embroider the names of the five children on them. After all, their handkerchiefs had become very faded from washing. It was time to change them.

The five children were Lu Chen, Lu Ye, Lu Yang, Lu Lin, and Lu Yu.

She took out the need and thread and stared working. The sky gradually darkened. Since there were very few households with electricity, they usually lit oil lamps. She embroidered the names of the five children on each handkerchief, planning to give them to the children when they go to school the next day.

Tired after a day’s work, Shenge Fei was already feeling tired. When she was done, Sheng Fei lay down on the bed and fell into a deep sleep.

She slept soundly, but the five children were still awake and huddled together, whispering about something.

Lu San Ya finished the last sugar bean, wiped her mouth, and her small face was filled with anger. “Elder brother, what do you mean? Sheng Fei has won you over with just a little kindness? Have you forgotten how she used to treat us? If you don’t want to deal with her, I’ll go.”

They had previously agreed to take advantage of an unguarded moment to deal with Sheng Fei, but now the elder brother was hesitating.

Lu San Ya couldn’t understand it.

Lu Da bit his lip. Lu Er and Lu San Ya supported dealing with Sheng Fei, and Xiao Si and Xiao Wu followed their lead.

“How do you want to do it?”

Lu San Ya smiled smugly. She and Lu Er exchanged a glance, a hint of cunning flashing in their eyes. “Of course, it’s the old method. While uncle hasn’t come back yet, you go next door and let all the chickens, ducks, and pigs out of uncle and aunt’s house. I’ve already investigated that they lock the kitchen door at night, so we can’t steal any food, but we can steal two eggs. By then, they will definitely think it was Lu Jixiang and Lu Ruyi who stole the food. It’s not the first time.”

Lu Da agreed, “What about Sheng Fei?”

Lu San Ya snorted coldly, her black eyes as deep as ink. “You don’t need to worry about that. I and second brother are here. Xiao Si and Xiao Wu, you two just stand guard at the door and keep an eye on when the uncle comes back.”

Lu Ting worked at the steel factory in the county. The employees of a state-owned enterprise were not senior employees, just grassroots workers. The shift time was not fixed, so Lu Ting came home sometimes earlier and sometimes later.

Xiao Si and Xiao Wu were “entrusted with an important task”. Their chests puffed up as they spoke in unison, “Okay.”

Lu Ting definitely wouldn’t want them to do this, so the five siblings were doing it secretly.
