After returning to the Tianqing Sword Sect, Shi Yunyi was worried about Tang Yu’s injuries and originally wanted to follow him to Rong Jiuchuan’s residence. But unexpectedly, Fu Qingyin coolly instructed, “Yunyi, take your fellow disciples back to their respective quarters.”

Shi Yunyi was reluctant but couldn’t disobey his master’s order. He could only reply helplessly, “Yes, Master.”

Shi Yunyi didn’t linger and turned to leave for Tang Yu’s residence.

Shi Yunyi’s body stiffened slightly, but he didn’t look back. In a flash, he disappeared. Rong Jiuchuan scoffed, “Ah, the fickleness of the world… Looks like that second senior brother is unloved.”

Tang Yu was lying in bed, mummified in bandages, when he saw Shi Yunyi suddenly sit down beside him. Surprised, he started to get up. “Little junior brother, why are you here so late—”

Shi Yunyi pressed him down by the shoulder. “Senior brother, don’t get up.”

Seeing how Tang Yu was all wrapped up and clearly struggling to move, he stayed put. “Little junior brother, what’s wrong?”

Tang Yu understood what Shi Yunyi was referring to, his previous avoidance of the original Tang Yu. But honestly, could he really be blamed?

“Senior brother, from now on, please stay away from Master!” Shi Yunyi slowly lifted his head. His deep purple eyes glowed faintly with an eerie light.

Tang Yu’s mind blanked for a second before snapping back.

‘Oh. My. God. The male lead was asserting his claim. He had been right all along, Shi Yunyi hadn’t just come here to apologize. So, he had been jealous over what happened today.’

“Alright.” Tang Yu nodded. “Little junior brother, I’ll try to stay away from Master.”

After all, Fu Qingyin was the male lead’s official love interest, the canon ship. Trying to fight the male lead for his man? That was just asking for death.

Hearing Tang Yu’s answer, Shi Yunyi finally smiled. “Good. Senior brother, rest well. I’ll be going now.”

With that, he turned and left, closing the door behind him. The moment the door shut, his smile vanished.

Tang Yu watched him leave and sighed. “Looks like I’ll have to keep my distance from both Master and little junior brother…” After all, the male lead still had a whole harem waiting for him. If he got too close, he’d end up targeted for sure.
