Jiang Yuan: …

The moment felt all too familiar. The scene mirrored what had happened the night before.

Yet this time, Jing Ying appeared completely confident that Jiang Yuan would not turn her down. She nodded lightly.

“Alright.”

Jiang Yuan looked at her, then glanced toward her own bed. She flailed her hands awkwardly. “So… are you staying in my room, or…?”

Jing Ying followed her line of sight to the large bed. With a lifted brow and a hint of teasing in her voice, she replied, “Let’s go to my room first. We can always come back to yours later.”

Jiang Yuan: ???

Later?

Surely she wasn’t planning to get hurt again.

Without giving it too much thought, Jiang Yuan nodded and followed her.

Once more, she found herself staring at the back of the Fairy Beauty.

Only this time, it was even more provocative.

Last time, she had been wearing a camisole nightdress. This time, she wore nothing but a white towel wrapped loosely around her body. Jiang Yuan couldn’t help swallowing hard. Her cheeks began to warm.

She had never seen anyone else undressed before. For as long as she could remember, she had been on her own. Whether it was school, work, or daily life, she had always moved alone. No friends, no family, no colleagues, and certainly no partner. She had never done anything remotely daring, not even visited a spa with anyone.

And now, completely out of the blue, she was staring at a breathtaking half-naked woman. Naturally, her face turned red.

What she didn’t realize was that this was just the beginning of her flustered state.

As soon as they entered the room, Jiang Yuan instinctively closed the door behind her. Even though no one else was home, a wave of guilt washed over her, as if she were about to commit something indecent.

She turned around just in time to see the woman in front of her lift a hand. The white towel loosened and fell quietly to the floor.

Gulp.

Jiang Yuan swallowed hard.

Jing Ying stood barefoot, wearing only a thin strip of fabric across her lower body. The rest of her skin was completely exposed. She hadn’t even taken a step, but when she turned her head, her long, straight black hair followed the motion. It cascaded over her shoulder and trailed smoothly down her back.

“Come here.”

…

That single phrase nearly gave Jiang Yuan a nosebleed.

She pressed one hand against her itchy nose and the other over her chest, where her heart pounded uncontrollably. Step by cautious step, she edged closer.

To be honest, she wanted to run away. But she was too afraid of upsetting this Fairy Beauty. So she forced herself to keep walking, all the while panicking inside that her awkward reactions might raise suspicion.

At that moment, her mind was a tangled mess.

But Jing Ying didn’t seem to think anything was strange. She turned and lay gracefully on the bed, her back facing up. She tilted her head to look at Jiang Yuan. “The injury’s on my back, near the shoulder blade. Please help me, Xiao Yuan~”

She finished with a smile.

Jiang Yuan’s knees almost buckled. She nearly tripped over her own feet.

Her heart thudded even faster.

That smile from the Fairy Beauty was pure temptation. No one should be allowed to smile that beautifully. No, it wasn’t just beautiful. It was enchanting. A seductress straight out of a fairy tale. The kind that could steal your soul and drain your energy.

Jiang Yuan fought to stay steady and walked forward, trying to appear normal.

She purposely averted her eyes from the figure on the bed, grabbed the medicine from the nightstand, and took a deep breath before finally looking down.

She had to admit, Jing Ying’s figure was incredible.

Slim and shapely, with just the right curves in all the right places. Her bare back was smooth and glowing under the soft, golden light.

A perfect 0.618 golden ratio. Even in the entire entertainment industry, bodies like this were rare. Long, slender legs. A firm waist so small that Jiang Yuan guessed she could wrap both hands around it. And those beautiful shoulder blades, shaped like butterfly wings.

Jiang Yuan’s throat felt dry. Her voice came out a little hoarse. “I see the two marks. Was it those women who did this to you?”

“No. I accidentally hit something. I didn’t notice at first, but it started to hurt after I got home. Just rub some medicated wine on it for me. I’m worried it might affect my shoulder movement and get in the way of filming.”

Jing Ying’s voice was calm, completely unbothered. Meanwhile, Jiang Yuan felt like her nerves were on fire. Thank goodness Jing Ying was lying down and couldn’t see the state of her face, which was red enough to boil an egg.

She silently scolded herself. Jing Ying was clearly just asking for help with a work injury. Why was she having all these impure thoughts?

Shameless!

She licked her lips, trying to pull herself together. She poured the medicated wine into her palm and rubbed her hands together.

The wine heated up quickly. Afraid it would evaporate, Jiang Yuan immediately placed her palms against Jing Ying’s back.

“Mmm…”

Jing Ying let out a soft moan.

Jiang Yuan froze. She pulled her hands back in panic. “Did I hurt you? Was I too rough?”

Jing Ying buried her face in the soft bedding. Her voice was muffled and husky. “It’s nothing.”

Only she knew how electrifying it had felt when Jiang Yuan’s warm palms had suddenly pressed against her skin.

She sighed inwardly.

She had planned to seduce this woman, but somehow, she kept getting overwhelmed herself.

“Keep going.”

“I’ll be more gentle, then.”

Jiang Yuan mumbled timidly. Her touch lightened, no longer massaging but almost caressing. The soft heat of Jing Ying’s bare skin made her cheeks flush bright red.

Before long, Jiang Yuan felt the woman beneath her start to squirm.

“What’s wrong? Am I hurting you?”

She looked completely lost.

Jing Ying shook her head and raised her upper body slightly. She turned to face her, propped her chin on her hand, and smiled. “Maybe you should be a little rougher. You do realize you’re being pretty… provocative, right?”

…

Provocative?

!!!!

Even if Jiang Yuan was usually a bit slow, she still understood the implication. Her face turned red enough to steam.

She mumbled, “What are you saying… We’re both women. What kind of fire could I possibly provoke?”

“We’re both women, but people still have physical responses. It’s human nature. Anyway, just give me a few more rubs. I think the medicine is working.”

Jing Ying smiled as she spoke.

Jiang Yuan stared blankly and felt ashamed. So the one having impure thoughts really was her. Her mind was crowded with indecent thoughts, while Jing Ying treated it all as completely natural, simply a human physiological response. Everyone had emotions and desires.

Still…

Why did it feel so weird?

Her brain was a complete mess.

Usually, she was clever and quick, but whenever she was alone with Jing Ying, her intelligence went out for a stroll.

After what felt like an eternity, the massage finally ended. Jiang Yuan jumped up like a startled rabbit. She didn’t dare look at Jing Ying, who was now sitting up and putting her clothes back on.

“I finished applying the medicine, so I’ll head back now. If you need anything, just call me.”

Without waiting for a reply, she dashed off with a red face.

She didn’t dare take another glance.

Jing Ying sat up in bed and watched her run away like she was escaping a disaster. She chuckled softly.

“Silly.”

Jiang Yuan rushed back to her room and slammed the door shut. She leaned against it, legs weak, and caught sight of her reflection in the TV stand mirror.

She looked utterly embarrassed. Her face was bright red, her body burning hot, as if she were about to catch fire.

She took a deep breath, shook her head, and ran into the bathroom. She washed her hands and splashed cold water on her face, trying to calm herself.

But even after that, even after drinking cold water, she still couldn’t settle down.

She paced the room, then finally collapsed onto the bed and pulled the blanket over her head.

Maybe if she buried herself in softness, she could sleep.

It didn’t work.

Every time she closed her eyes, the same images returned.

Jing Ying…

That fair skin…

Those long legs…

That scorching heat…

“Ahhhhhh!”

Jiang Yuan was going insane. Her legs rubbed together under the covers.

If she still didn’t understand what was happening to her, then the last twenty-four years of her life had been a waste.

She had never felt desire before. Not once. But now she did. Just like Jing Ying had said, it was human nature.

So…

Face burning, she kicked the bed once and slowly peeked out from under the blanket. Her big eyes sparkled in the dim room.

She stretched out a hand and blindly searched the nightstand. After fumbling for a while, she finally found her phone and ducked back under the covers.

In secret, she opened a browser window.

She searched for the two words that had set her heart racing.

When the page loaded, her whole body stiffened.

She had never experienced physical desire. Never watched adult films. Never read anything explicit. Yet here she was, reacting to another woman’s body. She even wanted to reach out and… do something about it.

She cursed herself inwardly, but still, she studied the instructions on the screen.

Lying beneath the blanket, she started to undress. Her hands trembled as they moved downwards.

Just as her fingers were about to reach that sensitive place, she suddenly grew uneasy. She lifted her head out from the blanket and came face to face with a smiling beauty.

“Ah!”

Jiang Yuan let out a sharp scream, only to see it was Jing Ying. In an instant, her entire body froze in horror.

Jing Ying was now wearing a spaghetti strap nightdress, smiling calmly as she looked at her. Meanwhile, Jiang Yuan had one hand over a very private part of her body and the other holding a certain kind of “educational material.”

She felt like dying. Right there. On the spot.

“Xiao Yuan, what are you doing?” Jing Ying crossed her arms and smiled teasingly at her.

Jiang Yuan swore she had never seen the celestial Jing Ying with such a devilish smile.

Her face burned as if someone had set it ablaze.

She stammered, “I… I wasn’t doing anything… Why did you suddenly come in? You didn’t even knock…”

“I remembered we hadn’t done our goodnight kiss yet, so I came to get it,” Jing Ying replied calmly. But her beautiful, starlit eyes sparkled with mischief. “But what exactly were you doing in bed?”

Jiang Yuan’s heart immediately jumped into her throat. “N-Nothing… Forget the goodnight kiss, I’m going to sleep now…”

She tried to push Jing Ying out of the room. The situation was just too humiliating.

But Jing Ying didn’t budge. Her arms remained crossed as she looked at her with a knowing smile. “Going to bed… without your panties on?”

“Huh?!”

Jiang Yuan was utterly stunned.

Then she saw Jing Ying bend over and pick up the underwear that had fallen to the floor, giving it a little wave in front of her.

Jiang Yuan was speechless.

Dear god, I want to disappear. Just let me die already…

She felt like her soul had already fled her body.

Seeing her wide-eyed, panicked expression, Jing Ying suddenly felt the urge to tease her even more. She bent down, placing one hand beside Jiang Yuan’s ear and leaning in close. Her beautiful starlit eyes locked onto Jiang Yuan’s big, watery ones. Her breath was fragrant and her voice dripped with a seductive charm. “If you’re looking to release some tension, I can help you.”

Jiang Yuan stared in silence.

Is she insane?! Completely unhinged!!!

As if she knew exactly what Jiang Yuan was thinking, Jing Ying continued, “Between friends, lots of things can be explored. It’s no big deal. Of course, it’s completely up to you.” She then leaned in and kissed Jiang Yuan’s forehead lightly, smirking. “Goodnight, Xiao Yuan.”

With that, she turned and walked out.

Jiang Yuan remained frozen in place, unable to recover for a long while.

After Jing Ying left, she tossed her phone aside, then quietly hooked the fallen underwear into the blanket with her foot and slipped it back on.

She stared calmly at the ceiling.

But a few minutes later, a sudden scream echoed from her room.

“Aaaahhhhhh!”

From the room next door, Jing Ying let out a small chuckle.

…

The next morning, Jiang Yuan lingered in her room for a long time, too nervous to step out. She kept pressing her ear against the door, listening for any movement outside. But even after dragging things out until nine o’clock, she hadn’t heard a single sound.

Eventually, she couldn’t stall anymore. She took a deep breath, gathered her courage, and opened the door. Even if she ran into Fairy Jing, she would just act cool. She kept telling herself nothing happened last night.

To her surprise, she had been overthinking it. She went downstairs and found that the place was empty. The only thing left was a bowl of porridge on the dining table and a note.

[Good morning. I started filming today, and since you stayed up late last night, I didn’t want to wake you. Call me if you need anything. — Jing Ying]

The handwriting on the note was beautiful, much like Jing Ying herself. She was elegant and graceful. It looked cool at first glance, but on closer inspection, it carried a subtle tenderness.

Jiang Yuan understood immediately. Jing Ying had left quietly so she wouldn’t feel embarrassed about what had happened last night.

Her cheeks turned a light shade of pink. She felt both flustered and warm.

She patted her face and sat down at the table, diving into breakfast.

She didn’t know if it was because Jing Ying’s cooking had gotten tastier or if her own mood was oddly light this morning, but either way, breakfast had never been this satisfying.

After eating, she picked up her phone and sent Jing Ying a message. [Breakfast was delicious. Stay safe on set. I’ll come visit when I can.]

The reply came quickly.

[Okay.]

Jiang Yuan smiled at her screen. All the awkwardness from last night vanished in an instant.

She cleaned up the dishes, then drove to the office. Just as she arrived at the company entrance, someone blocked her path. It was Su Cheng.

His face was dark and furious. Clearly, he had been waiting for a while. As soon as he saw her, he stormed over and growled, “Jiang Yuan, what exactly are you planning to do with that video?”

Just as he reached out to grab her, he was blocked by Jiang Yi, who had been following behind her.

With a swift motion, Jiang Yi twisted his arm and slammed him against the front desk, startling the receptionist into stepping back.

“Let me go!”

Su Cheng roared in rage, but he couldn’t break free. All he could do was glare at Jiang Yuan.

She wasn’t bothered. She lightly patted Jiang Yi’s shoulder to let him release his grip.

Then she looked at Su Cheng with an amused expression. “Mr. Su, making a surprise visit this early in the morning. You’re really eager, aren’t you? I just wonder if your sincerity matches your urgency.”

Su Cheng’s face darkened. He stretched his arm, his jaw tense. “What kind of sincerity does Ms. Jiang want?”

“Your ex-girlfriend hurt one of my company’s artists. Don’t you think you owe us an explanation?”

His face turned even darker. He had known Jiang Yuan wouldn’t be easy to deal with. If he still had some ideas about her while negotiating the contract last night, now he only wished he could stay far, far away from her.

“What kind of explanation do you want?”

“It’s simple. Bring your ex-girlfriend and have her apologize to my artist. Then offer appropriate compensation. For example… I want that variety show your company is investing in. Don’t worry. I’m not being greedy. Just one episode. The most explosive one.”

“You want to push Jing Ying into the spotlight?”

Su Cheng immediately understood her intentions.

Crazy Challenge was a variety show launched by his company. It had received great acclaim last year, and season two was about to begin. Early forecasts predicted it would outperform the first. The show had attracted major celebrities, some of whom were even willing to join for free.

Exposure from the show meant a huge popularity boost. The regular cast members were well-established artists with strong reputations and vast networks. Even a newcomer could gain massive attention just by being in one episode.

Su Cheng was drowning in regret.

This was the very project he had casually bragged about last night while trying to flirt with Jiang Yuan. He never imagined she would seize the opportunity so quickly.

Now, he was filled with remorse.

And he had other concerns. If he handed over this episode, would Jiang Yuan keep using the video to threaten him in the future?

But Jiang Yuan seemed to know exactly what he was thinking. She spoke plainly, “Don’t worry. Once the apology is made and compensation is settled, this matter will be over. I’ll delete the video in front of you. I promise no third party will ever know about it.”

Su Cheng narrowed his eyes at her.

The woman standing before him held her head high with absolute confidence. She was barely twenty, yet she didn’t yield an inch.

He let out a heavy breath. “Fine. I’ll meet you tomorrow to sign the contract.”

“Once the contract is signed, I’ll delete the video immediately,” Jiang Yuan replied as she shook her phone.

Su Cheng frowned and walked away.

Once he was gone, Jiang Yuan raised an eyebrow and smiled proudly.

She took her phone and headed upstairs to get to work.

…

Meanwhile, Jing Ying had arrived at the filming location with the production team.

It was an ancient town with a long history.

Besides the existing local buildings, several additional sets had been constructed by the crew. The scenes were grand and authentic, showing just how dedicated the production team of Youth’s Journey really was.

After putting down her luggage, Jing Ying followed the team around, taking notes as they moved from location to location.

This was her first time joining a film crew. Determined to be diligent and eager to learn, she humbly offered help wherever she could.

With her striking looks and unforgettable presence, paired with a quiet but efficient work style, she quickly earned praise from everyone around her. However, her naturally aloof personality made her a bit hard to approach.

“Sister Jing, can you give me a hand? This thing’s kind of heavy.”

A soft, hesitant voice called out.

Jing Ying turned and saw a slender, delicate-looking young man struggling to lift a large prop axe. No one nearby seemed eager to help.

She paused, then stepped over to his side and grabbed the other end, helping him carry it over to the transport cart.

Once they set it down, the boy let out a relieved sigh and smiled. “Thanks, Sister Jing. Is it okay if I call you that?”

He gave her a wide, slightly nervous grin. His clear eyes held a gentle shyness.

But what he didn’t expect was—

Jing Ying shook her head. “Just call me Jing Ying. That title doesn’t belong to you.”

That name was reserved for someone else.

No one else had earned it.

She turned and started to walk away.

Qin Suyu stood frozen on the spot.

But after a moment, he quickly followed behind, clutching at the hem of his shirt and saying softly, “Oh, I didn’t know. I’ll just call you Jing Ying from now on. I’m Qin Suyu. Thank you again for earlier.”

Jing Ying glanced back at him and gave a small nod. “Alright.”

Then she walked away.

Qin Suyu frowned slightly as he watched her leave, clearly feeling that she wasn’t going to be easy to get along with.
