Hi! Thank you for reading!❤️ I hope you enjoyed it! (❁´◡`❁)

Part One: Once Upon a Time.

The darkness of the Abyss wrapped tightly around Mo Hankui, a chill seeped into his skin through the bindings, and the exhaustion passed from his body into his heart. He struggled to open his eyes, but his body grew weaker and weaker. The darkness gradually engulfed him. By the time Mo Hankui woke again, the entire scene had changed drastically. This was an unfamiliar place, yet it strangely felt familiar. The palace was brightly lit, vast in scale, and seated high above was a man of authority…

Then, Mo Hankui saw a child—a child who looked strikingly like himself. The only notable differences were the dazzling golden eyes and black hair. Standing in the corridor, Mo Hankui’s body involuntarily followed the boy’s steps, slowly moving forward.

The boy seemed unaware of his presence. His steps echoed sharply in the otherwise empty palace. On the throne, a young man’s face was deathly pale. He looked at the boy’s sharp brows, which curved into a smile. The boy’s simple garments were faintly stained with blood. His cheerful voice sounded like a deathly wraith’s call.

He asked, “You always said I am a lowly bastard. My brothers also humiliated me endlessly because of my bloodline. Now that I’ve finally found a way to change that, neither you nor my brothers support me. There’s really no way… but they can’t refuse either. Oh right, Father, do I have any other brothers? I’m still hungry, you know.”

In a child’s innocent tone, the boy recounted the horrors he had committed. A bone-piercing chill surged from the Dragon King’s feet to his spine. He had underestimated this bastard, who had been tormented by everyone. Now, his entire body was powerless. This little bastard had definitely done something…!

“Why are you looking at me like that? If I eat you too, Father, will I be closer to becoming a dragon?”

The boy, smiling sweetly, approached the terrified young man on the throne. Then, horrific sounds of chewing and screaming echoed through the palace.

“Why did you fall asleep here?”

The youth’s clear voice rang beside Mo Hankui’s ear. Mo Hankui looked up and saw his Tuanzi standing in the nearby courtyard. The sunlight shone directly onto his fair face, blurring Bai Meng’s expression. Mo Hankui just stared at him in a daze.

“What’s wrong? Did you have a nightmare?” Bai Meng sat down beside him. A breeze stirred their hair, gray and white strands intertwining like fate itself.

“I just suddenly dreamed of the past.”

Mo Hankui’s lips curved slightly as he looked at the boy’s slightly translucent profile in the sunlight.

“Just feeling sentimental. I was very lucky to have met Tuanzi in the forest back then.”

“How lucky?”

“How lucky…? So lucky that I’d be willing to spend the rest of my life telling you.”

Part Two: Marriage.

A long time had passed since the incident in the Abyss. Later, Mo Hankui made up for it by holding a wedding ceremony with Bai Meng. At the ceremony, the boy’s brows were tinged crimson by the bright red wedding robe, and his obsidian-like eyes shimmered like a river of spring water. The groom beside him no longer bore his former coldness; instead, his handsome face held a faint smile. He gazed at the boy until the latter’s face turned red, then he chuckled softly and looked away.

“Why are you blushing?” Mo Hankui reached out and draped his arm over the youth’s shoulder. His beautiful, peach-blossom eyes were full of laughter. He leaned close and whispered in his ear, “We’ll be together for a long, long time. You’re already shy now? The days to come will be even more interesting.”

Bai Meng: “!!! Nonsense… Who’s blushing! I’m not!”

Off to the side, Mo Lei silently endured being fed dog food. He really wanted to remind his Hall Master that his persona was collapsing. Right now, he looked no different from one of those street scoundrels harassing innocent maidens, except, of course, for the fact that Bai Meng, this “innocent maiden,” was male…

Since it was a wedding between two men, there wasn’t much that needed to be avoided. Red lanterns were hung high, and festive decorations could be seen everywhere. Beneath the warm lighting in the main palace, they faced each other and bowed in mutual respect. All their friends were present in the ceremonial hall, smiling as they offered their blessings, except for that young man buried in darkness who would never again see the youth in his red wedding robe…

Apart from the fact that Mo Hankui was nearly impersonated at the wedding, and his bride almost ended up in the wrong bridal chamber with another wild man, everything else was very harmonious.

The victim, Mo Hankui, stated that if this ever happened again, he would perform a public suicide.

The perpetrator, Yuan, claimed that even if Mo Hankui were a fox with nine lives, Bai Meng might still become a widow at a young age. How could anyone feel at ease with that? Wouldn’t it be better to consider him, Yuan, as the best choice?

Mo Hankui: Get lost!

Part Three: Modern Day

Gu Yuan posted a status update in his online space: “You are the intimacy I never got to embrace.”

Bai Meng silently replied beneath it: “Yes, I’m the man you’ll never have.”

Gu Yuan: “Little bro, what’s going on with you? 🤨 Yesterday, when you were eating my food, that’s not what you promised to reply!”

Mo Hankui replied to Gu Yuan: “You two even went out alone to eat yesterday??? And anyway, isn’t Bai Meng just stating the truth?!”

Mo Lei replied to Mo Hankui: “He’s talking nonsense!”

Mo Jiuge replied to Gu Yuan: “Cousin, you’re asking for a beating?!”

Gu Yuan replied to Mo Jiuge: “Always walking beside Meng, and still unbeaten.”

Lan Cheng replied to Bai Meng: “Brilliant!”

Bai Meng replied to Lan Cheng: “Low profile, low profile, just standard procedure.”

Mo Jiuge posted the latest update to his feed: “My cousin has clearly lost his mind. He’s now been thoroughly educated by me and Mo Hankui. Apologies for the disturbance.”

Lan Cheng: “……”

Lan Wei: “……”

Bai Meng: “……”
