“Hi, I’m MinshiZzz! If you enjoy my work, feel free to reach out or share your thoughts. I’d love to hear from you. Thank you so much for your support!”

Tang Anhe was truly a treasure. Her thigh massage was as skillful as any professional’s. Each stroke landed perfectly on the right spot, with just the right pressure and weight, delivering a strangely satisfying comfort.

Cheng Muye’s eyes flickered in surprise as she lay back on the large bed. After a thoughtful pause, she teased, “Impressive technique… you’ve done this before, haven’t you?”

Tang Anhe smiled lightly. “Oh? I used to massage my sister.”

As expected.

Cheng Muye’s expression darkened suddenly. She leaned closer, her voice dropping to a low, commanding whisper. “No more. No more.”

“Hmm?” Tang Anhe tilted her head, curious.

“I’m your savior,” Cheng Muye said, her tone tinged with both authority and mischief. “As the ancients said, a hero rescues a beautiful woman and pledges his life to her. Understand? You’re mine, and you must obey me.”

Tang Anhe didn’t resist, but her brow furrowed. “Which hero would say that? Your words are wicked! You’re clearly taking advantage of me.”

Hmm! They were completely not on the same wavelength.

Cheng Muye was lost in thought for a moment before asking her to fetch a glass of water. Her leg ached terribly, and she knew she needed some painkillers.

Tang Anhe hurried to fetch the water, found the medicine, and helped her take it. Then she moved a bamboo chair beside the bed and sat down, watching her intently. Those large, watery eyes, framed by long, trembling lashes, were lively and playful, yet carried an innocent purity that was quietly captivating.

Cheng Muye felt a flicker of confusion. She looked away and asked, “Why are you staring at me like that?”

Tang Anhe’s voice was soft, earnest. “It’s been a while since I last saw you.”

“Hmm. Did you miss me?”

“Yes,” she admitted without hesitation.

Cheng Muye’s lips curved into a gentle, amused smile, her dark eyes glinting. “Oh? How so?” she asked softly.

Tang Anhe’s answer came immediately, sincere and unguarded. “Of course… in my heart. And in my mind, too.”

It was the truth.

During the days apart, Tang Anhe had replayed every memory of their time together. Though brief, Cheng Muye’s face, her delicate lips, and her voice had left an indelible mark, lingering in Tang Anhe’s thoughts and emotions.

Cheng Muye’s face lit up with joy, her lips curving wider, eyes sparkling with a vivid, passionate gleam. “Oh… your body will miss me too.”

Tang Anhe didn’t catch the hidden meaning behind the words; she only thought Cheng Muye’s smile was radiant. Unable to resist, she said earnestly, “Brother Cheng, you should smile more often. If you do, so many people will like you and want to treat you well.”

“I don’t care about that,” Cheng Muye replied nonchalantly.

“I do!” Tang Anhe tapped her chest with sincerity. “Not just me… even your grandfathers would like you.”

Suddenly, she shifted the subject, and Cheng Muye’s expression stiffened. After a pause, she said coldly, “Don’t beat around the bush. I don’t like it.”

Cheng Muye admired Tang Anhe’s innocence and straightforward honesty. Whenever she skirted around the truth or concealed her thoughts, it felt artificial and distant to Cheng Muye. The sensation was so unsettling that it sparked an almost instinctive aversion.

Tang Anhe, unaware of the effect, felt the sudden coldness and responded with a touch of indignation. “I don’t like your grandfather either! He’s so cold and intimidating. But he’s family… making things awkward is just so painful.”

For Tang Anhe, feelings always came first.

Song Qiluo had orchestrated countless schemes against her. Perhaps Tang Anhe was aware of them all, yet she had ultimately chosen to let them pass.

Cheng Muye’s chest tightened at the thought. If that was the case, Tang Anhe must also know Cheng Muye’s feelings for her. Then why did she still allow herself to be so close?

Her thoughts were broken by the sudden ringtone of Tang Anhe’s phone.

[Horse lassoer, you are mighty and majestic! Your galloping steed is like a gust of wind, and you wander the boundless plains as you go…]

Cheng Muye frowned in disdain. Such a vulgar ringtone… I’ll change it for her later.

Tang Anhe hadn’t left her phone unattended. She had set it on the dressing table upon entering the bedroom and now picked it up to answer. Perhaps because she had taken a moment, a flurry of questions immediately came from Song Qiluo.

“What took you so long to answer?! Where are you now? Were you having too much fun? Did you forget to come home?”

“I’m at the villa on Changyu Island,” Tang Anhe explained calmly. “Sister, can you ask the crew to grant me a few days off? Brother Cheng was injured while protecting me, and I need to take care of her out of courtesy and responsibility.”

Song Qiluo’s voice rose sharply. “Courtesy? Responsibility? What kind of logic is that? She’s the eldest daughter of the Cheng family! Does she even need your help? Get back here immediately. My mother wants to see you!”

Tang Anhe’s brows knitted. “Ah? Aunt is out of the hospital? Isn’t she still undergoing chemotherapy? How can she possibly manage?”

“You should know who she’s doing this for. Her body can’t handle it anymore!”

That one sentence ended all of Tang Anhe’s protests. She hung up, her cheeks flushed with worry. “Brother Cheng, I have to go now. I’ll come see you another day.”

Cheng Muye had overheard the exchange, and a sharp pang of bitterness twisted in her chest. She reached out, pulling Tang Anhe back, her voice fragile and pleading. “Tang Anhe… I don’t want you to leave.”

Jealousy coiled tightly in her heart at the place Song Qiluo and her mother held in Tang Anhe’s life. Tang Anhe carries concern for many, whereas Cheng Muye has no such ties. It felt unfair… and painful.

Tang Anhe, oblivious to her inner turmoil, furrowed her delicate brows and spoke softly, “Brother Cheng… I’m just going home to check on my aunt. She’s still undergoing chemotherapy. Leaving the hospital without warning… I just can’t feel at ease.”

She didn’t trust anyone else, but she trusted only her.

Cheng Muye’s jealousy surged, threatening to spill over. She fought back tears until her eyes reddened, her voice trembling and low. “W-will you come tomorrow?”

“Maybe… I’ll try.”

“Alright. I’ll wait for you.”

Cheng Muye slowly released her grip. Tang Anhe hurried out of the bedroom, but just as she reached the door, Cheng Muye called out, “Wait! Tang Anhe—”

Tang Anhe stopped in her tracks and turned back. “What is it?”

Cheng Muye steadied herself against the wall as she rose from the bed. Pain made her left leg tremble, but she shuffled forward, step by cautious step. “Wait… it’s getting dark. I’ll have Zhaoning send you back,” she said, a bead of cold sweat already forming on her forehead.

Tang Anhe watched, heart heavy, fingers curling into fists. Finally, she nodded. “Brother Cheng, just focus on healing. Don’t worry about anything else.”

Cheng Muye murmured with a bitter smile, so soft Tang Anhe barely caught it. “Of all the people in this world… you’re the only one I worry about.”

“Huh? What did you say?” Tang Anhe asked, leaning closer.

“Remember to come see me tomorrow.”

“Okay… I’ll do my best.”

Doing your best wasn’t the same as giving a definite answer.

Cheng Muye gave another faint, bitter smile before lifting her head to call for Yu Zhaoning.

Within minutes, Yu Zhaoning appeared, concern etched on her face. “Muye, what’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?”

“No, I’m fine. It’s getting dark, and Anhe needs to go home. Could you see her out?”

Yu Zhaoning frowned and shot a glance at Tang Anhe, wanting to show her displeasure but restraining herself. Tang Anhe was someone Cheng Muye cared for deeply, and she couldn’t afford to let her annoyance show in front of her. With a faint, controlled smile, she said, “Alright, I understand.” She nodded and guided Cheng Muye back toward the bed, helping her settle in.

Cheng Muye held her hand firmly, her expression grave. “Zhaoning… I trust you, which is why I asked you to escort her.”

This wasn’t trust.

It’s clearly pressure.

Yu Zhaoning sneered inwardly, though her face remained gentle. “Don’t worry. I’ll make sure she gets home safely.”

Cheng Muye had no choice but to rely on her, so she said nothing further, watching as Tang Anhe walked out beside Yu Zhaoning.

Once they disappeared from view, a sudden weight of melancholy settled over her. She exhaled softly. “Some things… just can’t be changed.”

Tang Anhe got into Yu Zhaoning’s car, chatting cheerfully the entire way. “Sister Yu, your villa is amazing! You’re so lucky to live here.”

Yu Zhaoning kept her eyes on the road, her words carrying a sharp edge. “Someone with a simple mind like yours might actually be happy that way.”

Her mockery was blunt and unreserved.

Tang Anhe laughed awkwardly. “My sister always says that simple people are more likable… and tend to live happier lives.”

“Then your sister lives quite philosophically.”

The tone was far from flattering.

Tang Anhe frowned, unwilling to warm up to someone so clearly disinterested. She stayed silent, and Yu Zhaoning, in turn, didn’t attempt to make conversation. The ride to Ming Cuixuan Residential Complex passed in quiet tension.

This was Tang Anhe’s address, located in the eastern district, a neighborhood far from luxurious.

Yu Zhaoning’s eyes swept over the scene outside the window. Faint perimeter lights revealed several apartment buildings that looked more decorative than functional. No patrols were in sight; causing trouble here would be effortless. For someone like Tang Anhe to live in such a modest place? She found it absurdly frugal.

She sneered inwardly and slammed on the brakes.

“Thanks, Sister Yu. We’re here.”

As the car stopped, Tang Anhe smiled politely in gratitude, then felt the seat shift beneath her. Yu Zhaoning moved with startling speed, straddling her, pressing down on her waist, her hands gripping firmly her soft chest.

The sudden, inappropriate motion sent a shiver down Tang Anhe’s spine. Her face drained of color as she struggled to push Yu Zhaoning away. “What are you doing?! Don’t touch me! Get off me!”

Yu Zhaoning held her in place with one hand, not taking it further. Her eyes darkened, a cold gleam in them as she sneered. “Listen carefully. What I just did to you… that’s exactly what Cheng Muye would do. If you can’t handle it, stay as far away from her as possible. Understand?”

Tang Anhe’s entire body shook, her voice trembling. “Wh-what do you mean? Brother Cheng… Brother Cheng—”

Yu Zhaoning’s hand lashed out, striking her cheek. Her eyes blazed with scorn and contempt. “Tang Anhe, don’t play dumb with me. I don’t believe you’re truly that stupid. Cheng Muye wants you. She wants to pin you down like a man. She’s a complete lesbian, and she loves dumb, busty trophies like you!”

After letting the words sink in, Yu Zhaoning calmly sat upright, pulling several tissues from the box by the steering wheel to wipe her hands, her expression radiating haughty arrogance.

Tang Anhe’s legs trembled as she struggled to sit up. Shakily, she pushed open the car door. Weak from shock, she almost stumbled on stepping out, her pride bruised.

Yu Zhaoning let out a cold snort. “What a sight.”

Tang Anhe clenched her fists, bracing herself, her cheeks burning with shame as she glared at Yu Zhaoning. “Don’t bully people too much!”

“Bully you?” Yu Zhaoning scoffed. “You think you’re even worthy?”

“You… you—”

“Can’t handle it? Then get lost!”

With that, Yu Zhaoning left the words hanging, started the engine, and drove off.

Tang Anhe stood frozen, her mind spinning from the onslaught of revelations. Cheng… Brother Cheng Ge is a lesbian? All the kindness… all the care… was it really just desire for her body?

Images of Cheng Muye’s earlier actions sprang unbidden to her mind: the touch on her thigh, the brush against her chest… She shook her head violently, forcing the blush-inducing memories away.

No! No way! Brother Cheng… how could she be a lesbian?

But the truth gnawed at her. Bold, flamboyant, sometimes wild and rough—Cheng Muye had always been different. Tang Anhe had admired it as a unique charm… but perhaps she had been mistaken.

Cheng Muye was a lesbian. This… this utterly shattered everything Tang Anhe thought she knew about the world!
