The Movie Queen Always Wants to Kiss Me - Chapter 13 - Sealing the Deal with a Kiss
Tang Anhe couldn’t figure it out, so she stopped trying. She pouted, turning her face away to watch the scenery slip past the window.
The highway to Changyu Island ran along the coast. With the window open, a refreshing sea breeze drifted in, making her long hair flutter and carrying its subtle fragrance.
Cheng Muye caught that faint scent, and her heart softened slightly. Without making it obvious, she edged closer, letting Tang Anhe’s hair brush against her nose—fine, silky, and smooth. She thought she was soft in every way… her hair, her delicate fingers, her supple figure… and that every gesture and smile effortlessly melted her heart.
“Brother Cheng, we’re almost there! Look! A mermaid sand sculpture!” Tang Anhe’s exclamation pulled Cheng Muye back from her thoughts.
Cheng Muye glanced toward the sound and saw a sand sculpture nearly three meters tall, vaguely shaped like a mermaid. She wasn’t interested, though; her gaze drifted to a villa not far from the sculpture.
Changyu Island was a tourist hotspot, and land here was as valuable as downtown plots. Owning a villa in such a location meant the owner had to be wealthy.
“Do you like that house?” Cheng Muye leaned closer, her voice a soft whisper in Tang Anhe’s ear.
The villa was European in style, with red-and-white walls and soaring spires, looking both grand and luxurious.
“Yeah… it’s huge and beautiful.” Tang Anhe turned to look at her, noticing how close Cheng Muye was. Her arms hung down casually, almost encircling her. Her heart raced, cheeks tinged pink. “It wasn’t here a couple of years ago. Must be newly built, right?”
“Mm. If you’re interested, I can take you inside in a few days.”
Tang Anhe blinked in surprise. “Yours?”
Cheng Muye shook her head with a small smile. “No. If it were mine, I wouldn’t need to be a bodyguard for you.”
“Then how would I get to see it?”
“It belongs to a friend of mine.”
“Wow, your friend must be rich. Hmm… let me guess, it’s your—”
Cheng Muye caught the mischievous glint in her eyes and immediately knew she was overthinking again. She reached over and ruffled Tang Anhe’s hair, cutting her off. “Stop guessing. We’ve arrived.”
She had barely finished speaking when the van screeched to a stop.
Beneath the blue sky and white clouds, staff were already setting up on the beach.
With the rolling waves of the ocean as a backdrop, the wedding scene was breathtakingly complete. A long red carpet ran along the sand, lined with vibrant flower arrangements that radiated romance and beauty.
Tang Anhe’s eyes sparkled the moment she saw it. She leapt from the van and was immediately swept up by a cheerful crowd.
“Miss Tang is here! Miss Tang is here!”
“Are you hot? Thirsty?”
“You’ve had a long ride, come rest under the parasol.”

After the chaos of being swarmed by fans at the mall, Tang Anhe felt genuinely moved by the careful, well-organized welcome. She smiled and waved at the crowd. “Hello, everyone! I’m fine. No need to bring me drinks. You’ve all worked hard, so finish your preparations and take a rest…”
“Everything is nearly ready, Miss Tang. Please, this way.”
The person in charge of Lanxin Company, Liu Wei, was a young and capable woman. Spotting Tang Anhe’s arrival, she stepped forward with a warm smile and guided her into the shade of an umbrella.
Simple tables and chairs had been arranged, each table covered with a white floral tablecloth. Bottles of water, cold drinks, and fresh fruits were neatly set out.
“Miss Tang, if you’re thirsty, please help yourself,” Liu Wei said.
Once Tang Anhe settled into her seat, Liu Wei pushed a plate of polished black grapes toward her. The grapes were glossy and deep as onyx, like a string of agate beads, tempting enough to make anyone’s mouth water.
Mindful of her image, Tang Anhe smiled politely but didn’t touch them. She chatted casually with Liu Wei for a few moments, then excused herself with a courteous “pardon me” and moved to speak with Song Qiluo. After a brief glance, Tang Anhe lost interest and turned her attention to Cheng Muye sitting beside her. “Why aren’t you sitting?” she asked.
Cheng Muye flicked a glance her way, her eyes shifting subtly, but she offered no reply. She remained standing yet listened quietly to the nearby conversation.
“Miss Song, this is a breach of contract. Originally, a staged kiss was agreed upon,”
“Manager Liu, please lower your voice. There’s still room for negotiation,” Song Qiluo replied.
“Then, Miss Song, what’s your idea?”
“I believe kissing the ring better suits the theme of this promotion,” she answered.
“But there still needs to be some sort of gimmick, right?”

As their voices softened, she could no longer make out what they were saying. She turned her head just in time to see the other person eating with relish.
Tang Anhe picked at a grape as she murmured to herself, “Mmm… since this is a proposal video shoot, there’s no way we can skip the kiss. When the time comes, I’ll be the one to kiss Zheng Ye first. Who knows? Maybe one kiss will be enough to seal the deal.”
The more she thought about it, the brighter her delight grew, and a smile spread across her face that she couldn’t suppress.
Cheng Muye was so furious she could curse when she heard it! Seriously! This ungrateful girl! Song Qiluo had gone to great lengths to help her dodge the kiss, and yet she was practically begging for it!
So infuriating!
Her irritation made her pinch a grape between her fingers, squeezing it until it burst. Dark purple juice splattered across Tang Anhe’s white blouse, leaving small, stubborn stains.
“Yikes!” Tang Anhe gasped, leaping up to clean it, but her juice-soaked hands only smeared five more fingerprints across the shirt.
“What am I going to do? If sister sees this, she’ll scold me again!”
Cheng Muye calmly popped another grape into her mouth, not even glancing at her, as if Tang Anhe’s predicament were none of her business.
Tang Anhe scowled and pouted. “Brother Cheng, you’re the one who got me into this mess! If you don’t help me now, that would be really unfair.”
“So what do you want me to do?” Cheng Muye smiled helplessly. “I didn’t bring any spare clothes.”
“Then give me yours!” Tang Anhe pointed at the black T-shirt Cheng Muye was wearing, eyes sparkling with curiosity. She had never tried this kind of cool, edgy look before, but seeing Cheng Muye in the black T-shirt paired with black pants, broad shoulders, narrow waist, long legs, and that stern, striking face, she couldn’t help but feel a pang of envy mixed with admiration.
“You mean we swap shirts?” Cheng Muye asked.
“I don’t care. I want to wear yours. Whether you want to wear mine or not, that’s your problem.”
“But your shirt is dirty. How could I wear it?”
“You can choose not to. You don’t have breasts anyway, so no one’s going to notice.”
Cheng Muye felt a sudden, inexplicable irritation. The way she had said that sounded almost like a jab at flat-chested people! She was about to scold her when she saw Tang Anhe bounding over to the person who had been speaking with Song Qiluo earlier. Leaning in with a playful, conspiratorial air, she whispered, “Hey, Manager Liu, is it true that the person I’m filming with is the Emperor of Acting?”
Liu Wei raised an eyebrow, surprised. “Miss Tang, you still didn’t know? Didn’t Miss Song tell you?”
Since this involved Anxin Studio’s reputation and responsibilities, Tang Anhe didn’t dare delay. She quickly replied, “Yes, I was informed, but I wanted to double-check. Isn’t this the Emperor of Acting? I wasn’t expecting it.”
Not to mention, she was the Best Actress herself… if they could get the Emperor of Acting as their spokesperson, the endorsement fee had to be astronomical. Lanxin Diamonds had only appeared in the past two years, and she had no idea which tycoon was backing it. Truly, a wealthy powerhouse.
Seeing through her excitement, Liu Wei smiled. “It seems you don’t know yet—Lanxin Diamond was actually invested in by Mr. Zheng himself. He’s one of the company’s shareholders.”
What?
The Emperor of Acting was a businessman now?
Wait… does that mean having her collaborate was actually Mr. Zheng’s idea?
Oh my goodness… had she accidentally uncovered the Emperor of Acting’s true intentions?
Just as Tang Anhe was lost in a daydream, imagining a full-blown romance, and maybe even kids, with the Emperor of Acting, Cheng Muye, who had been quietly observing from the side, stepped forward and interrupted her fantasy.
“Hello, I’m Miss Tang’s bodyguard, Cheng Muye.”
Liu Wei noticed her immediately. Dressed head-to-toe in sleek black, she was impossible to ignore. Smiling lightly, Liu Wei replied in a gentle voice, “Hello, Mr. Cheng. I’m Liu Wei, the manager in charge at Lanxin.”
Most people, seeing her for the first time, would have assumed she was a man. Cheng Muye didn’t clarify. She simply gave a slight bow, like a true gentleman, and said with a small smile, “Hello, Miss Liu.”
The two seemed to hit it off instantly. From the coastal scenery to the wedding setup, from Changqing City to their respective hometowns, they chatted effortlessly. Tang Anhe had never realized her bodyguard could be so eloquent, confident, charismatic, and elegant, completely at ease, and captivating everyone with her charm.
Was she being ignored?
Tang Anhe, a little flustered, tugged on Cheng Muye’s arm and stammered, “Um… Brother Cheng, you need to move aside. I still have something to discuss with Manager Liu.”
She wanted to ask more about the famous actor.
How could Cheng Muye not have guessed what she was thinking?
A faint, cold smile curved her lips, but she ignored Tang Anhe and continued chatting happily with Liu Wei, even exchanging contact information.
Tang Anhe could no longer contain herself. She grabbed Cheng Muye, tugged her aside, and whispered urgently, “Brother Cheng, you’re a woman! How can you use a man’s identity to fool a girl? Doesn’t your conscience bother you at all? What if she actually falls for you?”
“Then I’ll marry her,” Cheng Muye said, her gaze icy, staring at Tang Anhe. “Do you want to expose me?”
“What?” Tang Anhe was stunned. “Brother Cheng, you’re a woman. How could you marry her?”
“Why can’t I marry her?”
“You’re a woman! You two can’t get married!”
“Who says two women can’t get married? Same-sex marriage has been legalized abroad. You didn’t know that?”
“Ah? Same-sex marriage?” Tang Anhe blinked in surprise. She didn’t have a phone and seldom followed online news, so the topic was completely new to her. Her eyes widened, and her rosy lips parted slightly, as if inviting a kiss.
Cheng Muye’s gaze lingered on those pink, tender lips, soft and tempting like a delicate jelly. For a fleeting moment, she ached to lean in, to kiss, to bite, to make Tang Anhe understand that she had already become her prey, one she was determined to claim.
