Chapter 51: Third Forging Bones! The Ultimate Skill of the Forging Weaponry Workshop!

Time passed, and three days later…

After returning home from the Forging Weaponry Workshop, Su Hao utilized his bone-restructuring disguise to arrive at the Inspector Department, where he met the Department Head Gongsun Xiu.

“Brother Wen has arrived? Please, take a seat!”

Su Hao’s arrival was met with great enthusiasm as Gongsun Xiu personally came out to greet him and invited him inside for a conversation.

In a refined living room, Su Hao got straight to the point: “Department Head Gongsun, I killed those invading robbers. The high-grade Bone Refining Elixir I wanted should be no problem, right?”

“Of course! Not only that… Lord Li Shou directly requested a batch of ‘Top-Grade Bone Refining Elixirs’ from above, which even the officials might not necessarily be able to obtain!”

Gongsun Xiu said mysteriously.

“Top-Grade Bone Refining Elixir?”

Su Hao’s eyes lit up slightly. An elixir deemed top-grade was certainly superior to something like the Reckless Bull Bone Refining Paste, which was a more common elixir.

“Brother Wen, you can take a look.”

Without further ado, Gongsun Xiu took out a porcelain jar about half a foot tall, opened it, and an extremely rich medicinal aroma immediately wafted out!

Inside the jar was a thick medicinal paste, and remarkably, this paste had a faint jade-like luster, looking quite extraordinary to the naked eye.

“This is ‘Jade Bone Refining Paste,’ the top-tier of Bone Refining Elixirs. Its formula is a closely guarded secret; even if outsiders manage to obtain the recipe, they wouldn’t be able to concoct Jade Bone Refining Paste, as several of the required herbs are rare and can only be procured by the government. Not even money can buy them! With this at hand, if your foundation is decent, completing the Third Forging Bones and cultivating Iron Bone isn’t too far-fetched!”

Gongsun Xiu explained.

The Reckless Bull Bone Refining Paste can assist a person in completing one Forging Bones, which is its ultimate limit. However, since Su Hao has superior bones and a solid foundation, his absorption of the medicine’s effects is strong enough to allow him to complete two Forging Bones.

The Jade Bone Refining Paste, on the other hand, can help someone achieve three Forging Bones and forge ‘Iron Bones’!

“This Jade Bone Refining Paste is quite valuable. County Magistrate Li has put in a lot of effort and only managed to obtain 20 portions. However, each of these Jade Bone Refining Pastes is potent enough; one portion is sufficient for an ordinary Forging Bones martial artist for several months, which will certainly be more than enough for you, Brother Wen, to complete your third Forging Bones,” Gongsun Xiu explained. Inside a box on the table, there were jars of ‘Jade Bone Refining Paste,’ totaling 20 jars! They were worth a considerable sum!

“Then please convey my gratitude to County Magistrate Li,” Su Hao replied, thanking him. Although this was what he deserved, Gongsun Xiu’s repeated emphasis on the value of the Jade Bone Refining Paste conveyed that Li Shou had done his utmost to provide him with the maximum benefits.

Seeing this, Gongsun Xiu smiled as well. Even though the two sides were in a contractual relationship, it was essential for one to make their best effort while the other was willing to provide benefits in return to ensure a long-lasting collaboration.

After chatting with Gongsun Xiu for a while, Su Hao took his leave and departed with the twenty portions of Jade Bone Refining Paste.

On his way home, Su Hao looked at each portion of the Jade Bone Refining Paste, a hint of anticipation appearing on his face: “I can finally improve my Forging Bone stage. To what extent can these twenty portions of top-grade Bone Refining Elixir help me grow?”

It is known that Su Hao was at the fourth-stage Refining Strength, and his efficiency in refining the medicinal power far surpassed that of ordinary martial artists. His potential belonged to the level of ‘Innate Talent,’ with comprehension and bone quality that were beyond what ordinary people could achieve.

For others, the same portion of Bone Refining Elixir might have a one-fold effect, but for Su Hao, it could have an eight or even ten-fold effect; his ability to refine and absorb the medicinal power was in a whole different league!

It was like certain flowers and fruit trees; with the same nutrients, some could grow bigger and more vibrant!

After practicing his fist techniques and feeling somewhat fatigued, Su Hao began to shed his clothes and spread the ‘Jade Bone Refining Paste’ over his body. Instantly, his tired body greedily absorbed the medicinal properties.

As he circulated his Qi, his body became like a furnace, refining the medicinal properties of the Jade Bone Refining Paste completely and merging it into his bones, transforming it into the purest energy. Su Hao could feel his bones tingling and growing visibly!

“It truly is a top-grade Bone Refining Elixir… The potency of this medicine is more than ten times stronger than that of the Reckless Bull Bone Refining Paste! At this rate, I might be able to complete the third Forging Bones within a month or two!”

Su Hao’s eyes sparkled with joy, and through personal experience, he understood why Gongsun Xiu had repeatedly mentioned how valuable the Jade Bone Refining Paste was. Its strength compared to the previous Reckless Bull Bone Refining Paste was akin to the difference between a bicycle and a sports car!

Life quickly returned to tranquility. Su Hao engaged in his Forging Bones every day, and a month and a half passed.

In a quiet room, Su Hao moved his body slightly, and the bones throughout his body emitted subtle cracking sounds. His blood and Qi flowed smoothly, creating a refreshing sensation that permeated him once again after completing a Forging Bone.

Focusing his mind inward, Su Hao “saw” that his bones exhibited a distinctly metallic sheen, much larger and heavier than those of ordinary people, sturdy and resilient, with an indestructible quality.

Even a casual punch felt infused with a surging power.

“Third Forging Bones! I did it!”

Su Hao couldn’t help but smile with joy. Given his solid foundation and innate talent, combined with the top-grade Bone Refining Elixir, he completed the third Forging Bones in just a month and a half, reaching the ‘Iron Bone’ level. Now, if he were to deliver that kind of ultimate strike again, it wouldn’t harm his bones!

“I only used a little over three portions of Jade Bone Refining Paste, not even half, and I feel there’s still room for improvement. If I completely refine the rest of the Jade Bone Refining Paste, perhaps I can elevate my Forging Bone realm further…”

Su Hao felt a hint of anticipation in his heart.

His efficiency in refining the medicinal power was remarkably fast; a single portion of Jade Bone Refining Paste could sustain an ordinary Forging Bones martial artist for several months, and in just a month and a half, Su Hao had refined over three portions! Yet, he sensed he hadn’t reached his limit!

“I’ll rest for now; I need to go to the Forging Weaponry Workshop tomorrow.”

Su Hao stretched lazily, washed up, and then fell asleep.

The next evening, Su Hao completed his tasks as usual and sealed the furnace on time, preparing to head home.

“A Hao, come with me for a moment.”

Before Su Hao could leave, a tall, robust man inside the forging room called out to him; it was Xu Huanzhen, the owner of the Forging Weaponry Workshop.

“Uh-huh.”

Although puzzled by Xu Huanzhen’s request, Su Hao nodded and followed him into a quiet room in the workshop!

Inside the quiet room, Xu Huanzhen looked at Su Hao and said, “A Hao, do you know how to forge entry-level weapons?”

Entry-level weapons exceed the quality of refined weapons and can be considered extraordinary, capable of cutting through iron like mud, and often passed down as family heirlooms. Many blacksmiths dream of crafting entry-level weapons to become Grandmaster Blacksmiths.

After pondering for a moment, Su Hao replied, “You need top-grade materials.”

It’s difficult to cook without rice, and the same goes for forging weapons. A good blacksmith can fully exploit the capabilities of materials, but it’s impossible to forge an ordinary piece of iron into a divine weapon. Therefore, top-notch materials are essential for creating extraordinary weapons!

“That’s right,” Xu Huanzhen affirmed, nodding his head, but then shifted the topic, “However, that’s not enough. There’s a saying that you must be strong to forge iron; no matter how skilled an ordinary blacksmith is, how could they possibly forge divine weapons?”

This statement resonated with Su Hao, who agreed wholeheartedly.

Forging is a physically demanding job, and without sufficient physical talent, it’s difficult to forge refined iron, let alone the more demanding entry-level weapons.

“Thus, every Grandmaster Blacksmith is essentially a practitioner of martial arts. It’s not necessarily to kill, but to assist in forging, as the body is the foundation of everything. I practice a martial art that supports forging; A Hao, you must have trained in martial arts too, right?” Xu Huanzhen looked at Su Hao.

Given Su Hao’s demonstrated physical strength, being able to forge numerous refined weapons each month indicated that he had indeed practiced martial arts, or else he wouldn’t possess such strength!

“Yes, I’ve only started practicing martial arts in recent years and have achieved some minor accomplishments.”

Su Hao didn’t hide anything, acknowledging this openly; there was really no need for secrecy.

In fact, among the blacksmiths at the Forging Weaponry Workshop, nine out of ten have practiced martial arts, and due to earning more, they have resources to support a decent level of physical conditioning!

As the owner of the workshop, just observing Xu Huanzhen’s aura indicated that he undoubtedly had impressive achievements in martial arts, categorizing him as a master; otherwise, he wouldn’t be able to manage such a large business! Without strength, one cannot retain wealth!

“Well, you’ve been with us for a year or two now, and your forging talent might even surpass mine. It’s about time to learn the ultimate skill of our workshop. This martial art can assist in forging and should significantly elevate your forging skills. Are you willing to learn?”

Xu Huanzhen, being a straightforward and generous man, got straight to the point after their conversation.

“You want to teach me martial arts?”

Su Hao was taken aback, completely unprepared for Xu Huanzhen’s intention to impart a martial art to him. Moreover, judging by Xu Huanzhen’s serious demeanor, this martial art must be quite extraordinary and not the run-of-the-mill type!
