Chapter 38: Dual Mastery of Blade and Sword! The Sharp Blade Penetrates the Body!
“Old Fifth!”
Several strong men and bandits, who had been watching from the Forest Courtyard, gasped in astonishment, completely unprepared for the fact that they didn’t even have time to intervene before the man in white lost his life at Su Hao’s hands.
“Terrifying… Wen Tailai is too frightening. If it were me, perhaps I would have met the same fate.”
The Blue-clad Middle-aged Man marveled inwardly. He was one of the few Forging Bones martial artists from Mang Mountain Town, but compared to this Blade Catcher, he was clearly leagues behind!
“What a skill!”
A voice of admiration rang out. At the entrance of the courtyard, a man stepped forward, leading several others. He was a pale-faced man with a cold demeanor, clad in a light red robe. His triangular eyes were reminiscent of a sinister snake, and anyone caught by his gaze would chill with fear.
“Wu Huacheng!”
Su Hao’s gaze shifted, recognizing that this cold man was none other than the leader of the Blood Wind Bandits, Wu Huacheng, matching the description on the Arrest Warrant!
“Big Brother, this person’s strength is extraordinary; he can’t possibly be a Transforming Tendon martial artist, can he?”
One of Wu Huacheng’s companions murmured softly. Su Hao’s effortless kill of the man in white led them to question whether he was indeed a Transforming Tendon martial artist.
Wu Huacheng shook his head slightly: “Most likely not… He lacks the aura similar to that of ‘Sun Feisha.’ His earlier attack didn’t utilize the unique ‘muscle strength’ associated with Transforming Tendon martial artists. It was purely a display of extremely high martial skill and the ability to anticipate his opponent, which allowed him to kill Old Fifth in one blow.”
Sun Feisha was the Transforming Tendon martial artist who had previously pursued Wu Huacheng, and having fought against Transforming Tendon martial artists, Wu Huacheng could determine that Su Hao was probably not one.
“If he’s not a Transforming Tendon martial artist, then he is undoubtedly doomed!”
Upon hearing this, a burly man said ominously. All of them were Forging Bones level martial artists; with Wu Huacheng among them, who was the most elite among Forging Bones martial artists and capable of escaping from Transforming Tendon martial artists, they believed that as long as he wasn’t a Transforming Tendon martial artist, it would be a dead end for Su Hao!
“My head is worth a third-class merit? It seems the authorities indeed take this Wu quite seriously!”
Wu Huacheng fixed his gaze on Su Hao, a smile curling at the corners of his mouth.
Then, his eyes suddenly turned piercingly cold, a glint of blood flashing within them. He ominously said, “But if even Sun Feisha couldn’t take me down, what about you… everyone attack together! Kill him!”
Wu Huacheng understood the intentions of the opponent and recognized that one of his own had already been killed, leaving no room for negotiation and no need for unnecessary talk; a fight to the death was the only solution!
“Kill!”
With a single command, the three masters from the Blood Wind Bandits lunged towards Su Hao, each possessing the strength of the Forging Bones level. They drew their weapons, some wielding swords and others iron whips, surrounding the unarmed Su Hao.
Being unarmed against enemies with weapons put Su Hao at a severe disadvantage, not to mention that each of them was a master at the Forging Bones level.
“I’ll borrow your weapons.”
In a flash, Su Hao dashed past two Liu Family martial artists. They were startled, only to realize that their weapons had been taken by Su Hao without them even noticing.
With a knife in his left hand and a sword in his right, in the next instant, the three masters were upon him, their blades slicing through the air with devastating power!
Su Hao moved both hands simultaneously, meeting the oncoming weapons with his own knife and sword.
“Clang! Clang!”
The sharp, ringing sounds of metal clashing resonated, the knives and swords colliding and sparking brilliant flashes!
Tai Chi Sword Technique!
Having parried the attack, Su Hao immediately retaliated, twisting his hands sharply, causing the blade and sword to flicker with light as if forming a Taiji diagram, dragging the two Blood Wind Bandits’ arms down as if they had fallen into a vortex.
The Tai Chi Sword Technique was one of the four martial arts Su Hao had cultivated over the past year, emphasizing the duality of opposites, harmonizing yin and yang; it was a technique for dual-wielding blades!
The two Blood Wind Bandits hurriedly exerted force to free themselves from Su Hao’s grip, but at that moment, as they tried to struggle, Su Hao suddenly shifted his application of strength—from pulling to pushing!
“Deng deng deng!”
With a powerful tug, combined with Su Hao’s push, the two men staggered back unexpectedly, feeling a wave of discomfort wash over their bodies, their strength depleted to the point of wanting to spit blood!
“Whoosh!”
A sound cut through the air as a thick-browed man from the Blood Wind Bandits swung an iron whip, its harsh whistle slicing through the air as it swung from behind towards Su Hao.
This iron whip was embedded with metal barbs; if struck hard, not only would bones shatter, but skin and flesh would undoubtedly be torn away in large chunks.
“Clang!!”
Su Hao, holding his knife and sword, flicked his right-hand sword upward, hitting the whip’s point of force, causing dazzling sparks to explode. The incoming whip was deflected, slamming into the ground with a crackling sound that split the earth, sending rocks flying.
If this whip had struck a person, its power would likely have torn flesh and blood apart!
“Kill him!”
With an angry shout, the other two Blood Wind Bandits charged at Su Hao again, launching a coordinated attack.
Swords, knives, and iron whips, in the hands of Forging Bones martial artists, possessed terrifying power capable of cutting through metal and shattering rock!
“Clang clang clang!”
In response to the three men’s assault, Su Hao defended himself with his dual knives, his movements creating a series of afterimages accompanied by sparkling embers and the continuous sounds of metal clashing. With both offensive and defensive maneuvers, Su Hao managed to withstand their combined efforts without being overwhelmed!
“This Blade Catcher, Wen Tailai, is too powerful… These three bandits are all at the Forging Bones level; even if I go all out against just one, I might not win. Yet he can face three on his own?”
Watching the scene, the middle-aged man in blue and the members of the Liu Family felt a deep sense of shock.
From the speed and strength displayed by the Blood Wind Bandits, it was clear they exceeded human limits by several times; they were indeed strong, legitimate Forging Bones martial artists. But Su Hao could take on three?
“Keeping guard too long will lead to defeat; it’s time to turn defense into offense!”
Su Hao thought to himself, suddenly shifting his aura, opting not to defend anymore but to launch an attack!
“Roar!”
Su Hao’s body moved with a fluid grace as he took a powerful step forward, covering a great distance in an instant, and rushed towards the bandit wielding the sword. With his left hand, he swung the long knife fiercely, executing a wide and forceful slash, like a fierce tiger pouncing on its prey. The Black Tiger Saber Technique roared to life in Su Hao’s execution.
“Block it!”
The bandit with the sword hissed softly, raising his longsword to meet Su Hao’s ferocious strike, unleashing a chilling aura to counter the blow.
“Clang!!”
The knife and sword clashed, sending surges of strength rippling through the air, with sharp energy splintering off and gouging deep cuts into the ground!
Having blocked Su Hao’s domineering attack, the bandit felt a slight sense of relief, but before he could think further, a sharp pain suddenly pierced his left chest. He looked down in shock to find a longsword had already impaled his chest, piercing his heart!
“What… happened?”
The bandit with the sword was bewildered, completely unaware of how he had been hit, as he hadn’t even seen Su Hao’s sword strike!
“Fourth Brother!”
The other bandits gasped in alarm, realizing what had happened. They had witnessed Su Hao’s powerful slash and simultaneously observed his right hand, which held the sword, move ever so slightly. Although it appeared slow, the resulting thrust was incredibly swift, striking in the silence cast by that initial slash. The bandit had managed to block the obvious attack but failed to see the icy cold sneak attack that followed.
This was Su Hao’s Bewildering Trace Fist, a combination of the fist technique and swordplay that unleashed this eerie cold strike.
Martial Arts must adapt and evolve; with Su Hao’s potential and insight, wielding the knife with his palm or using the sword with his fist came naturally, as weapons were simply extensions of the arm!
