Chapter 28: Armored Strongman! Punches Like a Dragon!
The reason Su Hao concealed his identity was, of course, to avoid trouble. If he went on a killing spree against the Black Deer Army and they discovered who he was, they might retaliate, bringing consequences to Crouching Tiger Town. Thus, he donned the night attire from his pack, covering his face.
“Playing tricks, die!”
As Su Hao approached the battlefield where both sides were engaged in combat, a Black Deer Army soldier’s eyes flashed with malice. Su Hao’s strange attire made it clear he was not one of their own; he was an enemy!
The Black Deer Army soldier raised his weapon, preparing to strike Su Hao down with a brutal slash!
However, before the blade could land, the soldier let out a muffled groan as a sharp pain struck his abdomen. Su Hao’s right leg carried immense power, moving so swiftly it seemed to cast no shadow. He kicked the soldier at the waist, snapping it in half and sending his insides bursting out in a spray of blood and fragments.
“Kill… everyone, kill him!”
A squad leader from the Black Deer Army, dressed in armor superior to the typical soldiers, was shocked by the scene. Realizing this cloaked figure was not an ordinary foe, he called for the surrounding soldiers to join in the attack and eliminate Su Hao.
“Kill!”
Four or five ferocious Black Deer soldiers charged in, their long knives slicing through the air, sending a chilling gleam of cold light.
Even highly skilled Martial Artists are still made of flesh and blood and can be harmed; a well-trained group of soldiers wielding weapons certainly stood a chance at bringing him down!
Su Hao’s face underneath the hood bore a chilling coldness. These Black Deer soldiers were all involved in the burning, killing, and plundering and deserved death without mercy. Su Hao would not hold back against them!
Twelve Stances Tan Leg! Sequential Kicks!
Faced with the onslaught of long knives from all directions, Su Hao suddenly sprang into action. His legs kicked out in quick succession, generating such force that it stirred up the sand and gravel on the ground. His speed was so rapid that it seemed as if one could only see him lifting his legs, failing to catch his actual kicks.
His legs were longer than arms and had greater explosive power; having perfected the Tan Leg technique, he moved like a thunderclap!
It was as if, in an instant, Su Hao had sprouted two extra legs, kicking out toward all directions!
“Bang bang bang bang bang!”
Almost simultaneously, the dull thuds of impacts were accompanied by the sound of bones shattering as four or five Black Deer Army soldiers surrounding Su Hao were hit. Under the power of Su Hao’s heavy kicks, their thin leather armor provided no protection at all, causing their bones to break like decayed wood, and blood spurted out wildly as they were flung backward.
It was an absolutely one-sided slaughter, at a completely different level!
The squad leader of the Black Deer Army, himself a Martial Artist who had refined his Strength, felt a chill in his heart upon witnessing this scene. He realized just how terrifying this cloaked figure was; he was simply not someone they could deal with, and he hurriedly attempted to retreat.
However, as Su Hao drew back and pushed forward with his hand, a powerful force surged like a billowing cloud, both gentle and strong. The squad leader of the Black Deer Army felt an overwhelming sense of helplessness, as if an ant were facing the crushing weight of a giant beast—completely unable to resist, he could only await his doom!
“Crack!”
The squad leader, who had also refined his body and strength, did not even have time to scream as Su Hao’s palm sent him flying two to three yards away, crashing to the ground, his body twisted, blood oozing from his mouth and nose, meeting his end.
“Who… who is this person? Even a Martial Artist like me is as fragile as paper in his hands?”
“But it appears he is not our enemy; he hasn’t attacked anyone from the Evergreen Army! Do not provoke or obstruct him!”
Even the soldiers from the Evergreen Army were struck with terror at the sight of Su Hao’s display of power. The only relief they felt was that this masked figure seemed to be targeting the Black Deer Army, and since no one from the Evergreen Army had attacked him, he chose to ignore them outright!
“Clang!”
At that moment, in the center of the battlefield, Ji Gang, the Centurion of the Evergreen Army, let out a muffled groan. After another clash, the long knife in his hand finally couldn’t withstand the impact and broke, causing him to stagger backward. Opposite him stood a brawny figure in heavy armor, wielding a massive hammer, resembling a demon god.
He had once been the leader of a bandit group, and after being wanted, he joined the Black Deer Army, taking on the position of Centurion, and his strength was formidable!
“There’s a Master!”
Having repelled Ji Gang, the brawny figure in black armor did not pursue him, sensing a piercing gaze locking onto him. That gaze felt substantial, chilling him to the bone, causing him to shudder in fear.
Turning to look, he saw a masked figure in black clothing staring at him. Surrounding soldiers from the Black Deer Army were either dead or retreating, none daring to approach within three yards of this terrifying presence!
“It’s him…”Lead the charge against the Blacksmith Shop, and let Master Zhou die a tragic death!” Su Hao’s eyes betrayed a murderous intent.
Earlier, Su Hao had heard Zhao Tie mention that it was a burly man in black armor wielding a hammer who had smashed open the door of the Blacksmith Shop and ultimately slaughtered Zhou Xiong. It was evident that this brawny figure before him was that very man!
“Is he coming for me?”
The burly man in black armor sensed the overwhelming killing intent emanating from Su Hao and was momentarily taken aback, not understanding why he had drawn the wrath of his opponent.
“He has killed many of my people; he is the enemy! There is only one path forward… death!”
But soon enough, a grim murderous intent appeared on the burly man’s rugged face. No matter who this person was, he could only defeat him!
“Kill!”
The burly man in black armor abandoned the pursuit of Ji Gang and charged toward Su Hao with a powerful stride. The heavy armor he wore offered formidable defense, but it was also exceedingly heavy, weighing over a hundred pounds. Most people would find it difficult to move in such cumbersome gear, let alone wielding a massive hammer.
Boom!
Yet the burly man seemed unaffected, his body moving like a galloping warhorse. The sound of his armor clanging and grinding rang out as he effortlessly closed several yards in an instant, bearing down on Su Hao. The heavy hammer in his hand whistled through the air like a spinning wheel as it came crashing down right at Su Hao!
“Be careful!”
Ji Gang saw this scene from a distance and couldn’t help but shout a warning. He had battled the burly man and realized they were both in the Forging Bone Stage, but the burly man had the upper hand, capable of breaking Ji Gang’s weapons. His mastery in the Forging Bone Stage was exceptionally high, and his armor was no joke.
Facing the heavy hammer coming down, Su Hao stood his ground without moving.
Boom!
The hammer struck right above Su Hao’s head, crashing into him and sending his body flying apart as it slammed hard into the ground, creating a depression in the earth and sending rocks scattering. Even several yards away, the ground shook violently.
But the burly man’s rugged face was twisted in a snarl. He could clearly see that during the moment of impact, Su Hao had forcefully sidestepped, evading the blow by more than half a meter; he had only struck at an illusion.
“Raging Storm!” The burly man in black armor gripped the hammer handle tightly and let out a long howl. His Inner Energy, cultivated through second-stage Refining Strength, combined with his formidable physique at the second-stage Forging Bones level, made his heavy hammer swing like a whirling windmill, striking down like a torrential rain, wildly pounding toward Su Hao from all directions.
It’s hard to imagine that this hammer, weighing at least dozens to nearly a hundred pounds, could unleash such a nimble speed, akin to a fierce storm, tearing everything to shreds!
“Swish, swish, swish!” Yet, this tempest of relentless attacks was completely unable to touch him even slightly. Su Hao moved within the storm of hammers, dodging left and right with precise minimal movements, evading each heavy strike. From the outside, it appeared as though Su Hao had transformed into a hazy shadow!
“Is this… the person’s agility truly at such a remarkable level?” Ji Gang watched in astonishment, his heart racing. The burly man executed his hammer technique to its fullest; each strike was as swift as a gust of wind, yet he struggled to even graze Su Hao’s hem as Su Hao effortlessly dodged every blow with ease.
Eight Steps to Catch the Cicada, this light and agile technique had been perfected by Su Hao. Not only that, but each martial art he practiced—his punches, leg techniques—almost had complementary movement techniques. With six martial arts practices perfected, Su Hao’s agility reached a stunning level.
Almost as soon as the burly man moved, Su Hao could predict the trajectory of his attack and dodge accordingly!
