☼ Fake Alpha Daughter's Self-Help Notes

As his tongue licked his red lips, Yi Xing seemed to recall the delicious taste of the bowl of blood spider silk.

…

Yi Xing finally spared a sidelong glance for the spider-like man on the ground, “Then aren’t you going to go get the key for me?”

“Heh…cough, cough, cough…” The man had intended to sneer, but the movement strained his shriveled stomach, and he coughed up a large mouthful of blood. The crimson froth splattered onto Yi Xing’s trousers.

After a while, he came back to his senses, his mouth full of blood, and gave Yi Xing a frightened grin, saying,

“You can’t threaten me. Without my talent, I’m going to die in Paradise sooner or later, might as well take you down with me when I go.”

The man had expected that this Survivor would panic, but he only saw the other shift that sidelong glance away from him as well, as if he were nothing more than an insignificant ant, not worth paying any attention to.

As soon as this ridiculous thought came to his mind, the man saw the Survivor walk past him and head towards…the kitchen!

“What are you going to do?”

Thinking of the things in the kitchen, the man panicked and hurriedly dragged his weak and broken body to chase after him.

As Yi Xing entered the kitchen, the viewers in the livestream also got a glimpse of the scene inside.

One shriveled white cocoon after another dangled from the ceiling, blocking out the light and casting sprawling shadows across the walls, the floor, and the kitchen island.

Each white cocoon hung by a single thread of silk, swaying in the gusts from the kitchen door. The light and shadows flickered along with them, and the looming cocoon shadows were terrifyingly eerie.

Yi Xing, however, seemed oblivious to this horrifying scene.

He was not interested in spider silk without its sweet scent.

After taking a quick look at the kitchen layout, Yi Xing began to wash the pots and utensils skillfully.

Then fill half a pot with water and place it on the gas stove, then turn on the fire to boil the water.

While the water was heating, Yi Xing walked over to the sink and began cleaning the bloody spider silk.

[Such a familiar scene…]

[Of course it looks familiar. This is Yi-zai cooking live every day.]

[An excellent food anchor who never forgets to cook even when playing games.]

[Am I the only one who still remembers that ‘Paradise’ is an escape game?]

Yi Xing was very hungry.

After arriving at this place, he was constantly searching for an exit and collecting bloody spider silk, never ceasing to expend his energy.

So hungry, so hungry…without the key, he couldn’t leave, and yet this spider silk smelled especially sweet.

Might as well… just fill my stomach in the game.

He couldn’t eat raw food in front of others, so he cooked the bloody spider silk, then it wouldn’t be raw anymore.

The sound of boiling water filled the air. Yi Xing lifted the lid of the pot and added the bloody spider silk, which was still bright red even after being washed several times, into the water.

“Are you crazy?!”

The spider-like man had barely managed to crawl to the door when he saw this scene, and for a moment, he was so shocked that he cried out, ignoring his injuries.

That’s his blood spider silk!

These 22 blood spider silks, cultivated with all his heart and soul, were his awakened talent.

How can you treat a talent like this?!

The spider-like man’s eyes were bloodshot and he coughed up several mouthfuls of blood.

Yi Xing ignored him.

Watching the bloody spider silk spread out in the pot like fine noodles, releasing an even richer aroma, he narrowed his eyes and inhaled the intoxicating scent from the air, almost in a state of ecstasy.

It smelled so good! He had never smelled such an alluring food aroma before. Just by smelling it, he could imagine how delicious the blood spider silk was.

The water soon boiled again.

Yi Xing skillfully sprinkled on salt and sauce, gave it a light stir, then picked up the prepared bowls and chopsticks to lift out the crystal-red, translucent bloody spider silk.

Even after cooking, the bloody spider silk remained so fine that scooping it all up barely filled a single bowl.

Yi Xing turned around with the big bowl in his hand, stepped over the man who was still vomiting blood, and sat down at the dining table in the living room.

This was his daily routine for food livestreams: first, he prepared the dishes in the kitchen, and then he placed them all neatly on the dining table.

Although there was only a single bowl of noodles on the table, which looked rather meager, their sweet and enticing aroma was enough to make up for all shortcomings.

Yi Xing could no longer bear it and started eating with big mouthfuls.

[Hey, Cub, don’t eat weird things outside…slurp, slurp, I’m not drooling.]

The red noodles look so delicious, crystal clear and seemingly full of springy bite.

[You’re just going to eat it like that? Not letting your moms have a bite first?]

[Unfilial son!]

[So mean, eating something that smells this good in the middle of the night, I’m gonna die of craving!]

[I wanted to lose weight, but my hands couldn’t help but open the food delivery app.]

[I dug out some flour, carrots, and the juicer—sisters, I’m heading in first!]

The spider-like man was so frightened that he stopped coughing up blood. He stared at Yi Xing with wide eyes as if he had seen a monster.

Next door was the dim kitchen hung with white cocoons, and at the kitchen doorway and in the living room, patches of blood still stained the floor.

And this Survivor, with his exceptionally delicate and handsome features, sat there at the dining table in the living room, calmly enjoying the food he had cooked himself.

That food was the talent stripped from his body——the Bloody Spider Silk.

After finishing the bloody spider silk in his bowl, Yi Xing took a sip of the soup, his eyes narrowing in sheer enjoyment. With a soft sigh, his whole being radiated contentment and bliss.

That sigh of satisfaction made the spider-like man’s hair stand on end.

He was like a krill witnessing a blue whale eating, gripped by instinctive fear, yet unable to put into words what exactly he feared.

The fans in the livestream had no understanding of the spider-like man’s fear. All they saw was Yi Xing doing a food broadcast inside the game, watching it was pure enjoyment, and it left them craving like crazy.

[I still like Yi-zai’s food live broadcast the most.]

[Seeing Yi-zai’s happy expression while eating, I couldn’t help but be infected and my heart felt warm.]

Yi Xing leaned back in his chair contentedly, his hand caressing his warm, full belly.

For the first time since his birth, he experienced the feeling of being full, even stuffed.

So this is how comfortable it feels to have a full stomach.

After eating his fill, drowsiness began to set in. Yi Xing lazily lifted his eyelids, only to find that at some point, all the colorful bullet comments in the livestream screen had vanished, leaving behind only the drooling fans.

He shifted his gaze again, looking toward the spider-like man still collapsed at the kitchen doorway, and said, “Did you bring the key?”

The spider-like man pursed his lips and said nothing.

Yi Xing was in a good mood now and didn’t bother arguing with him. He only said, “I’m full for the moment, but when I get hungry again, I’ll still need something to eat.”

He looked the man up and down, with a hint of disdain in his eyes, and said,

“I may be a bit picky with food, but if I get hungry enough, I won’t mind eating something less than satisfying.”

“After all, being hungry is a terrible feeling. You understand, right?”

At the end, Yi Xing smiled at the man.

Seeing him bare his white teeth, the sharp fangs on either side glinting coldly under the light, the spider-like man couldn’t help but have a terrifying thought flash through his mind.

The food in this dungeon was constant, only when someone cleared it and the instance refreshed would new supplies appear.

If the food ran out, and this terrifying newcomer grew hungry again…what would he eat?

The spider-like man didn’t dare admit the answer that had already surfaced in his mind.

“The key is in the cocoon at the innermost part of the kitchen…” After saying this, the spider-like man realized that his voice was trembling.

“Oh?” Yi Xing thought for a moment and said, “There should be some kind of animal in there, right?”

Yi Xing had only glanced at the white cocoons hanging above when he entered the kitchen, but his memory had always been sharp. He remembered that in the innermost part of the kitchen, near the window, there hung a noticeably smaller cocoon.

If the other cocoons could hold a human skeleton, then that one was only big enough to contain the remains of a cat or a small dog.

The spider-like man showed an expression that said, ‘So you did know,’ and said, “That’s the cat.”

Yi Xing asked, “Which cat?”

The spider-like man seemed not to have expected him to ask such a question.

This was a lowest-level dungeon, its events not particularly complex. As long as the Survivor circled that room a few times, they could piece together the cause and effect.

But the doubt on this man’s face didn’t seem fake. Could it be that he left the room without even investigating?

The spider-like man nearly coughed up blood. He couldn’t comprehend how he had been defeated by such a clueless newcomer, and even had his talent stripped away.

But with his talent gone and the location of the key already revealed, he no longer had any bargaining chips. All he could do was pray for this newcomer to leave quickly.

He also needed to leave the dungeon to recuperate and give himself a better chance of surviving before the next dungeon opened.

The spider-like man explained, “That girl’s missing cat, it was my first prey, and also the “key” to leaving this dungeon.”

Yi Xing remembered the house he lived in when he first arrived here. There were traces of the life of a young woman and a cat in the house.

“You killed the cat, but where was its owner?”

Yi Xing lowered his head to study his own hand, as if it had suddenly turned into something strange and fascinating.

The spider-like man glanced at Yixing, unable to fathom why his focus was so bizarre.

“Dead too.” He didn’t say he killed her.

His condition was so bad that he was at the mercy of others and had to be cautious.

“Oh.” Yi Xing responded, as if he had just asked casually and didn’t care about the answer.

Under the spider-like man’s watchful gaze, Yi Xing rose and walked into the kitchen, taking down the smallest cocoon.

The moment his hand touched the cocoon, Yi Xing heard an electronic chime sound.

「You have found the “key.” The elevator has been powered, and the safety passage is now open. Please evacuate the apartment as soon as possible.」

Carrying the white cocoon, Yixing walked past the spider-like man and out the door, closing it behind him in passing.

He never looked at the man from beginning to end, and only raised his finger slightly when the door was about to close.

Bang——

The sound of the door closing merged with the sound of someone falling to the ground inside the house.

Yi Xing glanced at the light-screen livestream; the barrage of comments was as normal as ever.

He walked to the elevator and the screen on the elevator button really lit up.

He pressed the button, and the numbers on the screen slowly changed from 1 to 30. With a soft ‘ding,’ the elevator doors slid open.

Yi Xing stepped into the elevator. The doors closed, and after a few breaths, the scene before him shifted back to his own home.

The light-screen at his side remained, but the livestream had gone dark, showing that the broadcast had ended.

「Congratulations on escaping the apartment successfully.」

「Clearance Rating: S (Points × 10)」

「Points +10 ×10」

Accompanied by the electronic voice, Yi Xing walked into the bathroom and turned on the faucet at the sink.

Water gushed out with a whoosh, and Yi Xing held out his hands, letting the stream wash over them.

A streak of dark red spread through the water, quickly vanishing without a trace.

It was the spider-like man’s blood. He surely never imagined that one day he would die by his own talent.

「You have awakened the talent: ‘Devour.’」

「You have obtained the ability: ‘Blood Spider Silk.’」

Glittering strands of blood spider silk unfurled from Yi Xing’s fingertips, sinking into the half-filled basin of water and spreading out like vermicelli dropped into a pot.

Yi Xing’s tongue traced his crimson lips, as if savoring once more the taste of that bowl of blood spider silk.
