The Crybaby Mistress GL - Chapter 18
“Are you feeling alright? Does it still hurt?” Although Chen Xin had drunk too much the night before and her memory was a little blurry, she still vaguely remembered Luo Jing’s tearful expression beneath her. She pulled a chair over and sat beside her, reaching out to gently touch her leg. “Did I hurt you yesterday?”
Luo Jing’s cheeks turned slightly red as she chewed her sandwich with a mouthful still inside. She seemed embarrassed to speak and simply kept chewing. Chen Xin did not rush her and waited patiently with a smile. Finally, Luo Jing replied in a soft voice, “It still hurts a little.”
The tone of her voice brought a hint of delight to Chen Xin’s eyes. It was rare for Luo Jing to act this coy around her. Seeing her cheeks blush as red as apples, Chen Xin leaned in and gave her a kiss on the cheek. When Luo Jing looked like she wanted to hide her entire face in her sandwich, Chen Xin teased her, “Should I take a look for you?”
As expected, Luo Jing quickly shook her head. “No need! It does not hurt anymore!”
“Silly girl,” Chen Xin said as she pulled her into a proper embrace. This time, she did not settle for a kiss on the cheek. Her lips and tongue explored thoroughly, leaving Luo Jing dizzy and breathless before she finally let her go.
After breakfast, they still had some time. Chen Xin was in high spirits and helped clear the dishes, though Luo Jing insisted on doing the washing herself. Unwilling to part with the warmth of their morning together, Chen Xin followed her into the kitchen. Standing a few inches taller, she easily slipped her arms around Luo Jing from behind.
“Shall we go on a date? I want to take you out and have some fun.” Chen Xin rested her cheek on Luo Jing’s shoulder and wrapped her arms around her waist, fingers interlocked. She had plans to buy her a few outfits and treat her to something delicious.
Luo Jing turned her head slightly with a puzzled look. “Miss Chen, don’t you have work today?”
Chen Xin paused for a moment. She had completely forgotten that the weekend had already passed. “I don’t feel like going.”
Luo Jing could not help but chuckle. After finishing the dishes and putting them into the drying rack, she turned around and placed both hands on Chen Xin’s shoulders. “Let’s go next time, alright? For now, you need to get to work.”
Being coaxed like a child felt strange but sweet. Chen Xin almost pressed Luo Jing down on the sink for another round of fooling around, but they really were short on time. The two quickly got dressed. Luo Jing packed her school bag while Chen Xin waited for her in the living room, planning to drive her to school.
While waiting, Chen Xin noticed some papers on the table. Assuming they were schoolwork, she picked them up for a glance and quickly realized they were Luo Jing’s calculations about how much money to remit home. It was clear that Luo Jing did not want her family to know she was being financially supported. Chen Xin was not surprised. Luo Jing seemed like a sincere girl from a modest background.
Chen Xin was much sharper with numbers. She casually wrote down a better solution and waited until Luo Jing came out. Then the two of them left the house hand in hand.
Luo Jing seemed quite happy during the ride. She had always gone to school on her own, and being personally driven there felt novel and exciting. They chatted and laughed along the way. Chen Xin appeared to know everything. When she heard that Luo Jing had never explored City B, she was surprised.
“You go to school here and never walked around the nearby areas?” Chen Xin thought there were plenty of good and affordable places to eat and hang out around the campus. Most young people liked to explore the area with their friends. Luo Jing had even stayed in the dorms, which should have given her plenty of time to get familiar with the surroundings.
Luo Jing answered honestly, “The food outside isn’t as cost-effective as the cafeteria. Sometimes, I go to the bakery near the school gate. In the afternoon, if the egg tarts are not sold out, they go for forty percent off.”
Her allowance from home was not much, and Luo Jing was not a frivolous spender. An occasional egg tart was enough to make her happy.
Chen Xin’s heart ached when she heard this. “Next time, I will take you out and show you all of City B.”
Luo Jing was her cherished sweetheart. There was no way she could let her live such a frugal life. If anyone found out, it would be quite embarrassing. Luo Jing was too naive. She had been given a gold card but did not know how to use it. Chen Xin decided she needed to take her out and let her enjoy herself properly. After all, being her lover came with benefits.
They soon reached Luo Jing’s school. However, Chen Xin did not drive directly to the main gate. Instead, she stopped the car a short distance away in a more secluded spot. Though the school was only a few meters away, she parked and turned off the engine. Luo Jing found this a bit odd but did not think much of it. It was just a short walk anyway.
Just as she was about to get out, Chen Xin pulled her back and kissed her without warning. Luo Jing felt her nerves jump. The area might have been a little secluded, but people still walked by occasionally. Yet Chen Xin was kissing her right here!
She tried to turn her head away, but Chen Xin held the back of her head firmly, not allowing her to pull back. Her tongue gently teased the roof of Luo Jing’s mouth. Luo Jing’s body softened as she let out a warm, flustered breath through her nose. Chen Xin was satisfied. She noticed Luo Jing’s body was gradually growing used to her touch. She did not let go until Luo Jing’s cheeks were flushed.
“You have been forgetting to give me my goodbye kiss lately,” Chen Xin said as she finally released her, her tone slightly reproachful.
Only then did Luo Jing realize that the kiss had been meant as a reminder. She had planned to ask Chen Xin not to kiss her in public anymore, but now she had no ground to stand on. Pressing her lips together, she apologized softly, “Sorry, I forgot.”
It was not really Luo Jing’s fault. She had so few chances to see Chen Xin off. Most of the time, after they played around and fell asleep, Chen Xin would be gone by the time she woke up. She rarely got a chance to follow through on the goodbye kiss.
Chen Xin forgave her graciously, though not without mischief. She ran her hand along Luo Jing’s leg, slipping it beneath her skirt to touch the soft skin at the top of her thigh. Only after confirming that Luo Jing had obediently put on her safety shorts did she retreat, finally satisfied.
After being thoroughly teased, Luo Jing slapped her flushed cheeks in front of the mirror and turned to get out of the car. Just then, Chen Xin stuffed something into her pocket.
Luo Jing pulled it out and saw it was the gold card she had left in the cabinet. Her hand went a little numb. It felt far too valuable to accept. Chen Xin winked at her. “How can you use it if you don’t carry it? It is your allowance.”
“But—” Luo Jing started, but Chen Xin cut her off.
“I also spoke to your driver. From now on, he will take you to and from school. Riding the bus takes too long.”
Luo Jing waved her hands. “That is not necessary. I can take the bus myself. There’s no need for someone to drive me every day.”
Chen Xin asked, “Are you unhappy with the driver? I can fire him and assign you a new one.”
Luo Jing quickly backtracked. She did not want anyone to lose their job. “No, do not fire him. I understand. Let him pick me up and drop me off.”
“Goodbye kiss?” Chen Xin asked, looking at her.
Luo Jing had already opened the car door and placed one foot on the ground. She glanced around like a thief, made sure no one was nearby, then quickly leaned back in and gave Chen Xin a quick peck on the lips before running off toward the school gate.
Chen Xin licked her lips. The shy, gentle touch still lingered. She rested her head on the steering wheel for a long time. Only after Luo Jing’s figure disappeared from sight did she finally start the car and drive away.
No one noticed a female student standing near the school gate, watching the direction in which Luo Jing had disappeared.
