Luo Jing had always thought she was not particularly clever. Otherwise, how could she have ended up stepping straight into a fire pit just by trying to find a part-time job? Still, that so-called fire pit offered surprisingly good conditions. Luo Jing figured she did not have any special skills, so if someone was actually willing to pay such a price for her, what right did she have to complain? Her family was still waiting on her to help cover the medical bills.
Yet on her very first day on the job, she was caught red-handed by her sugar daddy’s wife. Just what kind of cursed luck was that? Luo Jing really did cry. The wife had such an overwhelming presence that she dropped to her knees right there on the bed and did not dare to move a muscle. Back home, women who stole men would be spat on.
Unexpectedly, the wife looked Luo Jing up and down, then down and up again. With her slender fingers resting under her elegant chin, she turned to her husband and said, “How much did you pay for her? I’ll give you double. Hand her over to me.”
With tears and snot running down her face, Luo Jing dumbly watched this married couple transfer her “sponsorship rights” right in front of her. She could not keep up at all with what was happening.
