Bai Yao said emotionally, “I didn’t expect to trouble you all because of me. I had originally planned to invite the neighbors as well. Since everyone is already here, I’ll just invite you directly. Please come to the party tomorrow night!”

The driver turned around to wipe the corner of his mouth before turning back to ask, “Can we really come to the party?”

Lu Sheng glanced at him but said nothing.

Bai Yao smiled and said, “Lu Sheng said he grew up here, so I’m sure he received a lot of care from you all in the past. I want to thank you together with him. You’re all good people!”

Everyone fell silent.

Bai Yao looked back at Lu Sheng. “You think the same, too, right?”

Lu Sheng’s eyes became misty. It turned out that Bai Yao had invited those ugly people to come over because of him. He held Bai Yao’s hand, his lips trembled, and with a choked voice, he gave a soft “Mm.”

Bai Yao smiled. “Then let’s hold a lively costume party tomorrow!”

And just like that, the decision was made.

Bai Yao personally saw the guests out and even reached out to pat Xiao Xiong on the head. Xiao Xiong scratched his head, somewhat understanding why everyone secretly said behind her back that Bai Yao was a beautiful oddball.

She truly deserves this kind of love!

After the guests had all left, Bai Yao closed the door. She turned around to look at Lu Sheng, whose eyes were red. She crossed her arms and stared at him for a long time with a scrutinizing gaze.

Lu Sheng was like a timid and fragile little wife. He was nervous and uneasy, wanting to ask something but too scared to speak.

Bai Yao walked past him and sat on the sofa. She sighed and said, “My legs feel a bit sore.”

Lu Sheng immediately squatted beside her, picked up her legs, and started massaging them.

After a while, Bai Yao added, “My shoulders are a little sore too.”

He quickly stood up and moved behind her to pound her shoulders.

Lu Sheng looked at Bai Yao anxiously, as if afraid she might say something he couldn’t respond to. He didn’t dare utter a word, running around trying to please her. Bai Yao narrowed her eyes in enjoyment like a landlord, while he was like a virtuous woman oppressed by the landlord.

Just as Lu Sheng’s heart was in turmoil, Bai Yao suddenly said, “My mouth feels a bit sore too.”

Lu Sheng instinctively ran over to her, but as he stared at her soft, red lips, he hesitated, unsure whether to use his hands. He didn’t dare move, only looking at her with pitiful eyes.

Bai Yao reached out and pulled him onto the sofa, then sat on his lap, cupped his face, and lowered her head to kiss him fiercely.

She said, “We haven’t seen each other for two hours and thirty-five minutes. I missed you so much!”

Lu Sheng’s breathing immediately became erratic. “Yao Yao, I missed you so much, too!”

He followed her lead, flipped their positions, and kissed her lips. With a voice that could make her go weak, he let out a low hum, coaxing her to open her mouth. In an instant, their breaths intertwined in the most passionate and intimate way.

Bai Yao’s weekend homework was to write an essay. With Lu Sheng around, she absolutely couldn’t get any writing done, so she kicked Lu Sheng, who had been clinging to her in her room, back to his own place. Only then did Lu Sheng remember he had a short meeting to attend.

But reality did not match his expectations.

Bai Yao silently snuck over to the window of his house. No one knew how long she had been peering inside from outside the window. At the time, Lu Sheng’s heart almost leapt out of his throat. Thankfully, Bai Yao was solely focused on snuggling with him and didn’t care about anything else.

Lu Sheng was deeply moved. Overcome with emotion, his hand slid under her skirt. But Bai Yao kicked him.

She said, “No.”

Lu Sheng looked at her with sparkling eyes. He held one of her hands and pressed it against his abs, guiding it down along his defined V-line. “Yao Yao, I’ll take good care of you.”

He knew she had no resistance to his strong and powerful body, and especially loved his abs.

But today, Bai Yao wasn’t swayed by his looks. She sighed. “The homework is so hard. I can’t write it. I’m not in the mood.”

Lu Sheng’s eyes drooped with disappointment. He wasn’t exactly chaste or ascetic; on the contrary, he had a strong desire for her. But if she didn’t want it, he wouldn’t force her.

He gently smoothed out the wrinkles in her skirt, then pulled up the strap that had slipped off her shoulder, and affectionately nuzzled into the crook of her neck.

Bai Yao held his head in her arms, her fair fingers sinking into his soft orange hair. She said with a sly smile, “If you help me finish my homework, maybe I’ll be in the mood!”

Lu Sheng immediately sat up. “Where’s the homework?!”

After Bai Yao told him the essay topic and requirements, Lu Sheng darted into the study and turned on the computer. As he diligently typed away, Bai Yao lay in bed messaging her classmates.

【 Tomorrow is the costume party. If you’re coming, prepare in advance. By the way, you can come, but don’t disturb the neighbors. My house is open for you to explore, but don’t go into my neighbors’ houses and bother them. If anything happens, I won’t take responsibility. 】

She was the undisputed queen of popularity. As soon as she sent the message, the group chat immediately replied with confirmations.

Their goal was to go to Bai Yao’s house. Who would be bored enough to wander into someone else’s home?

Bai Yao took a short afternoon nap. When she sat up and stretched, her peripheral vision caught a corner of fabric peeking out from the wardrobe door. She thought to herself that Lu Sheng was really careless. She got out of bed and walked over, planning to tuck the fabric back in.

But as soon as she touched the wardrobe door, the overstuffed contents burst out through the gap. The door flew open, and she was instantly buried by the things tumbling out in a chaotic rush. The moment she landed on the floor, she was already submerged under a mountain of stuff.

It wasn’t until a long while later, after all the items had finally spilled out, that the avalanche stopped. Bai Yao struggled for a long time beneath the pile before finally managing to poke her head out. She looked around at the mountain of items around her, her expression dazed.

She casually picked up the item on top and saw it was a pillow with her photo on it.

She stared blankly at the object in her hand.

“Yao Yao, I finished it!” Lu Sheng came running down the hallway with a tap-tap-tap, pushed open the door, and met Bai Yao’s gaze from beneath the mountain of things. In that instant, his expression changed drastically, his whole body froze, and he lost the ability to move.

Bai Yao withdrew her gaze and calmly flipped through the pillow, blanket, and doll… all in shades of white and pink, and all featuring photos of her. Amidst this heap of girlish-colored items, she pulled out something particularly distinct.

A black robe and a white Grim Reaper mask.

Bai Yao fell into deep thought. When she looked up again, the figure at the door had already disappeared.

She struggled to crawl out of the pile and walked to the doorway. Sure enough, she saw a figure curled up in the corner.

Lu Sheng was hugging himself, his body trembling slightly. He could feel that Bai Yao was nearby, but he didn’t dare to look up. When he heard her footsteps, he instinctively reached out, but only dared to grab the hem of her skirt.

“Yao Yao…” He lifted his pale face. His eyes, once filled with a bright and upbeat energy, were now misty and blurred. “I’m sorry, I… I didn’t want to be like this, but I couldn’t control myself… Please don’t leave me.”

He was a stalker, a shadowing creep, and a sleazy pervert.

He truly was a disgusting and perverted person. His so-called sunny and cheerful persona was merely a facade he had painstakingly constructed.

Because he knew that no one would like a pervert.

Bai Yao looked at him for a long moment. After a soft sigh, she suddenly broke into a brilliant smile and exclaimed joyfully, “Lu Sheng, we must be soulmates! I wanted to host a costume party, and you already prepared everything!”

What she held in her hands was that very symbol of danger, the white mask and the black robe.

Lu Sheng blinked through the mist in his eyes. His wet eyelashes trembled slightly, making him look pitiful.

Bai Yao squatted down and held the outfit in front of him. “Put it on for me!”

Lu Sheng looked confused. “Yao Yao?”

Bai Yao smiled innocently. “Didn’t I promise you? Once you finish my homework, I’d be in the mood.”

Lu Sheng glanced at the things in her hand, still puzzled. “But why do I have to wear this?”

Isn’t she scared?

Bai Yao’s face turned stern. “Are you putting it on or not?”

Lu Sheng quickly nodded. “I’ll wear it!”

A few minutes later, he had completely changed.

The black robe made his tall, slender figure stand out even more. His long, straight legs looked even more striking. The twisted white mask covering his face was eerie and frightening. Bai Yao stood on tiptoe and pulled the hood over his head. She nodded and confidently said, “You really look like a psychotic serial killer now.”

The masked man lowered his head and nervously picked at his fingernails.

But in the very next second, Bai Yao ran back into the room.

Lu Sheng was certain she was disgusted with him. It was only natural that she’d be scared. He lowered his head, the eyes beneath the mask dark and glossy, with the occasional sound of sniffing audible.

“Hey, why aren’t you coming in yet?”

Lu Sheng looked up.

Bai Yao peeked her head out from the doorway and urged, “Come on in! I’m really in the mood now!”

Lu Sheng shuffled a bit uncertainly but didn’t dare move further. “Yao Yao…”

Bai Yao reached out and pulled him in. The bedroom door shut behind them, and soon after came the unmistakable sound of someone being thrown onto the bed, loud and clear.

The boy’s voice came in broken fragments, “Yao Yao… Wait… You had me wear this outfit…”

He suddenly let out a muffled groan.

The girl laughed wickedly, “I made you wear it so I could take it off!”

“W-Why… Yao Yao, do-don’t do this, I can’t take it…”

“Because it feels super thrilling!” Her voice carried an irrepressible excitement. “It’s really exciting! Don’t move. Let me do it!”

But just a few minutes later, her voice had grown much weaker. “I’m out of strength… Forget it, you do it instead.”

The phrase “a noob but highly addicted” probably described someone like her.

Time passed, the sun set, and the moon rose.

The bedroom was a complete mess.

Bai Yao lay on top of Lu Sheng, drowsy and half-asleep. One moment she was thinking about how to plan tomorrow’s party, the next she was musing on how this kind of physical activity was truly beneficial for mental and physical health.

Lu Sheng gently stroked her hair. His eyes were full of satisfaction, but his body showed the brokenness of a flower crushed by harsh hands, completely spent. Still, he seemed tireless, repeatedly whispering her name beside her ear, “Yao Yao…”

If Bai Yao didn’t respond, he could go on calling her forever. She casually ruffled the top of his head and murmured sleepily, “Mm, I’m here.”

Lu Sheng nuzzled her hand and cautiously said, “Don’t be afraid of me. Keep liking me just like this, okay?”

Bai Yao perked up and slapped both her hands onto his cheeks. “What I like is you. It doesn’t matter who you are. No matter what you become, even if you turn into a useless lump of mud, I will still like you so much!”

She gave him a kiss and gently coaxed him, “So stop overthinking. Be good, now go to sleep.”

Lu Sheng turned over and buried his face in the crook of her neck, quietly sobbing from time to time.

His heart suddenly felt overwhelmingly warm.

She said that even if he turned into a lump of mud, it didn’t matter.

In that moment, he felt as though he were drowning in a tidal wave of love. His entire body couldn’t contain the emotions he had for her, burning with heat from head to toe.

Yuhua Community fell into darkness once more.

And the Friendly Neighborhood group chat exploded again.

【 Damn it, which lunatic has lost control of their power again?! Are you crazy?! 】
