- Chapter 81 - Because I’m a Love-Brain, My Boyfriend Being a Pervert Doesn’t Matter XIII
Bai Yao began to cry softly and weakly. “If I have to sleep alone on a pitch-black night, I’ll definitely be too scared to fall asleep!”
Hearing her sobs, Lu Sheng grew flustered and anxious. Before his brain could catch up, the words had already left his mouth, “I’ll sleep with you tonight!”
Bai Yao immediately looked up. “Okay!”
She smiled brightly, her beautiful eyes clear and radiant. There was no sign of someone who had just been crying.
Lu Sheng fell silent.
Bai Yao tugged on his hand. “Then let’s go to your place. You even made cake for me to eat! Wait for me, I’m just going to grab my clothes for after I shower.”
She dashed back into her house and quickly returned with a bag, then pulled the still-dazed Lu Sheng along toward his home.
When they arrived at the door, Lu Sheng nervously fumbled several times before finally retrieving his keys. Just as he pushed the door open, something suddenly occurred to him.
Bai Yao had just taken a step inside when she was pulled back. She looked up at him, displeased.
Blocking the doorway, Lu Sheng forced a smile. “My place is a mess, Yao Yao. Just wait a moment.”
He rushed inside and shut the door behind him.
Bai Yao only felt the wind brush through her hair. She crossed her arms and stared at the tightly shut door, suspicion flickering in her eyes.
But it wasn’t long before Lu Sheng opened the door again and led her into the brightly lit apartment.
The living room was very clean and neatly arranged. The lighting was warm and homely. It looked like any ordinary house, or more precisely, it looked exactly like hers.
Standing inside, Bai Yao felt a strange sense of déjà vu, as though she were in her own home. She let out an exclamation. “Wow, Lu Sheng, the layout and setup of your house are just like mine!”
Lu Sheng smiled sincerely. “It’s probably because all the units in this complex have the same floor plan.”
Bai Yao: “But even your furniture is the same as mine.”
Lu Sheng: “That’s because… um…”
Bai Yao laughed joyfully. “It must be because we’re so in sync, right?”
Lu Sheng nodded. “Right!”
Since the layouts were the same, Bai Yao naturally knew where the bathroom was. As she walked in that direction, she said, “I’m exhausted after a whole day of classes. I’m going to shower before I eat cake.”
Just as her hand touched the bathroom doorknob, something suddenly occurred to Lu Sheng again. He quickly pressed down on her hand. “Yao Yao!”
Bai Yao was startled by his sudden shout, and her ears even hurt a little. She frowned, displeased and confused, and looked at him, asking, “What is it now?”
Lu Sheng forced a smile and quickly picked Bai Yao up, carrying her over to the dining table and setting her down in a chair. He said ingratiatingly, “This is my first time making dessert. I’ve been dying for you to try it and tell me what you think. Why don’t you eat the cake first before taking a shower?”
Once Bai Yao was seated, a strawberry cake was immediately placed on the table. It was beautifully decorated, and the strawberries were arranged artfully. Her appetite was stirred, so she picked up a spoon and took a bite of the creamy cake. The sweet flavor spread across her mouth, and she squinted her eyes in delight.
Lu Sheng stood beside her like a nervous young wife who didn’t dare sit at the table, carefully asking, “Is it good?”
Bai Yao nodded vigorously. “It’s delicious!”
Lu Sheng let out a breath of relief and smiled again. “Then you eat first, Yao Yao. I’ll go tidy up a bit.”
Bai Yao smiled. “Okay!”
Lu Sheng quickly slipped into the bathroom and shut the door behind him. No one knew what exactly he was cleaning up, but Bai Yao was understanding. After all, he was a boy living alone. Maybe there were things he didn’t want others to see, like magazines with pretty women or piles of smelly, unwashed clothes and socks.
Still, she felt Lu Sheng wasn’t that kind of person.
By the time Bai Yao had finished the cake, he had come out after tidying up. He personally led Bai Yao to the bathroom. As she closed the door, he immediately looked up toward the second floor. Thinking of what was in his bedroom, he furrowed his brows and ran upstairs as fast as he could.
After her shower, Bai Yao changed into clean clothes and let down her tied-up hair. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed many small holes in the bathroom wall. She walked over for a closer look. It looked like nails had once been hammered in.
Had something been hanging there?
Bai Yao touched her chin, but couldn’t figure it out, so she let it go.
She opened the door and stepped out of the bathroom, and immediately saw Lu Sheng appear before her like a gust of wind.
He beamed brightly. “I poured a glass of milk. Yao Yao, do you want some?”
Bai Yao smiled. “Yes!”
She walked cheerfully over to the sofa, sat down, picked up the glass of milk on the coffee table, and took a happy sip.
Behind her, Lu Sheng couldn’t hold it in anymore. One hand braced against the wall, he panted heavily, looking like he had just dealt with something intense and was now completely exhausted.
But as soon as Bai Yao looked his way, he immediately straightened up, a sunny smile blooming on his face.
Bai Yao’s eyes curved into a smile. She said, “Lu Sheng, you’re so sweet!”
Lu Sheng’s fatigue suddenly vanished, and he felt full of energy. To be honest, he did feel a little guilty inside.
Bai Yao curled up on the sofa, watching TV. The news was reporting yet another case of someone going missing. She wasn’t interested and started flipping through the channels out of boredom. Just then, she heard the sound of Lu Sheng opening the door after his shower. She immediately threw aside the remote and leaned back on the sofa, pretending to be dozing off.
Sure enough, the boy cautiously approached her and picked her up. She smelled the scent of milk-scented body wash, and it made her feel refreshed and relaxed.
Bai Yao opened her eyes with a deliberately drowsy look. She rubbed her eyes and softly called his name, “Lu Sheng…”
Lu Sheng carried her upstairs. “It’s already late, Yao Yao. I’m taking you to bed.”
Nestled in his arms, Bai Yao felt like she was back in that moment earlier today when he had swooped in to rescue her. Back then, she thought the scent on his body was maddeningly attractive. She wasn’t sure if she’d fallen victim to the suspension bridge effect, but either way, she just found him so handsome. She really wanted him!
A man and a woman alone together in one room—Lu Sheng wasn’t blind. She was already irresistibly attractive; if something happened between them, wouldn’t it just be the natural course of things?
Yet, Lu Sheng laid Bai Yao gently on the bed in the bedroom, tucked her in under the covers, and was about to leave.
Bai Yao immediately grabbed his hand. “Where are you going?”
Lu Sheng replied, “To the room next door.”
Bai Yao’s expression changed. “You’re not sleeping with me?”
Lu Sheng blushed and stammered, “Y-Yao Yao, isn’t… isn’t that inappropriate?”
Bai Yao sat up in bed, fixing him with a serious look as though interrogating a suspect. “What’s inappropriate about it?”
“I-I asked someone about this…” Not only his face, but Lu Sheng’s whole body seemed to flush with heat. He still tried to explain, “Boyfriends and girlfriends are supposed to wait thirty years before they can… before they can sleep together…”
Bai Yao almost choked on her breath. She demanded, “Who told you that?”
Lu Sheng looked down, embarrassed. “The owner of the noodle restaurant.”
That owner was the longest-standing resident in the area, widely experienced. So naturally, when Lu Sheng had questions, he went to him for advice.
The owner had said that if a boy rushed to get intimate with his girlfriend, she might think he was frivolous. At the very least, he should hold out for thirty years to prove his sincerity. So Lu Sheng had been working hard to restrain himself all this time.
Bai Yao asked, “Does that owner have a partner?”
Lu Sheng shook his head.
“He doesn’t even have a partner, and you’re still taking his advice?!”
Lu Sheng froze. That’s right. He was the only one in this community who actually had a partner, so why was he asking a bunch of single, elderly residents for dating advice?
Suddenly, Bai Yao yanked Lu Sheng down onto the bed. Like a bandit overpowering a village girl, she straddled his waist and began to strip off his clothes.
As her hand reached downward, Lu Sheng hurriedly clutched the waistband of his pants, too flustered to get out a complete sentence. “Y-Yao Yao… I… I haven’t learned this yet!”
He had only picked things up on his own through trial and error, eventually becoming rather skilled with his hands, but he hadn’t yet had time to learn much beyond that.
He had sneaked a few glances at some Japanese adult films playing in the noodle restaurant, where the men kept shouting “Hayaku!” The other residents seemed engrossed, but Lu Sheng only found them annoying and missed his chance to learn.
Bai Yao lifted his chin with one hand. Her eyes held a mix of three parts seductive charm, three parts cool confidence, and four parts insatiable hunger. “Heh, man, just feel it with your body.”
Lu Sheng’s heart pounded wildly. Caught off guard, his waistband gave way.
In the heated atmosphere of the room, breaths overlapped. Only the boy’s bewildered and helpless voice could be vaguely heard.
“Yao Yao!”
“Not there… Not there!”
“Don’t-don’t touch…”
Not long after, the positions of the boy and girl had switched, and his voice changed as well.
In the midst of overwhelming sensation, he trembled and whispered, “Yao Yao, one more time… Can I go faster this time?”
No one knew who pulled up the blanket, but the two of them were wrapped in that small space, playing around without restraint.
In the Yuhua Community, after the lights in residents’ homes and the streetlamps suddenly flared with intense brightness, they all went out at once, unable to withstand the powerful surge.
The group chat instantly lit up again.
【 Damn it! The lights in my house just blew out! 】
【 I was stewing meat! My rice cooker suddenly exploded! 】
【 What the hell! My chainsaw was charging and got fried! 】
【 Which lunatic lost control of their power again?! 】
Amid the flood of complaints, someone sent a different kind of message.
Xiao Xiong: 【 I saw Big Sister go into Big Brother Yellow Hair’s house. 】
The group chat fell into silence.
After a while, someone posted: 【 Don’t tell me… he was still a virgin? 】
A few moments later, that message was withdrawn and replaced with:
【 Seriously, don’t tell him I said he’s a virgin in the group chat. 】
In a pitch-black house, a ghostly pale little boy squatted in the stairwell, holding a black kitten and staring at the messages on his phone. A newfound sharpness emerged in his gaze.
Are the monsters and ghosts in this community all idiots?
