Beitang Jun couldn’t stand Bai Yao’s arrogant attitude. He had just opened his mouth, about to say something to curb her arrogance, when he saw Bai Yao walk right past him.

She kindly pulled Su Youyou forward and asked gently, “Classmate Su Youyou, do you think I was being impolite?”

Su Youyou quickly shook her head. “N-no.”

Bai Yao smiled again and said, “Then I hope that in the future, when a boy jumps to conclusions trying to stand up for you and misunderstands me, you can step out and explain the truth for me. Otherwise, if an innocent person like me gets wronged, I’ll be very hurt and upset. And when I’m hurt and upset, I can’t control myself, you know? I’m super rich.”

Su Youyou heard the threat beneath Bai Yao’s words, and her hand trembled.

Just as Beitang Jun was about to step in to save Su Youyou, Bai Yao had already let go of her hand.

Bai Yao extended her hand, and He Cai immediately pulled out a tissue and handed it to her. Bai Yao wiped her hand and smiled brightly and graciously with her beautiful face. “Classmate Beitang, you heard it. Classmate Su Youyou thinks I’m very polite. Next time you try to stand up for someone, please make sure you understand the situation first. Don’t wrong an innocent person. You don’t need to apologize to me. I’m generous, so I won’t hold it against you.”

Bai Yao turned around and walked off, tossing the tissue precisely into the trash can. He Cai naturally hurried after her.

Beitang Jun stared at Bai Yao’s receding figure and was speechless for quite a while.

He had met many girls before, but he had to admit that Bai Yao was the most arrogant and imperious one he had ever encountered.

When Bai Yao got to the classroom, a group of close girlfriends surrounded her with concern. One after another, they congratulated her on moving house. Someone even mentioned that since Bai Yao had a new place, she should definitely host a party to celebrate.

Bai Yao said, “My place isn’t completely set up yet. Once I’m done organizing, I’ll invite you all over.”

Everyone quickly chimed in with agreement.

Bai Yao had always been generous and extravagant with money. If she hosted a party, the food and drinks would be top-notch. Most importantly, influential people in the university would all show up for her, and there was a chance they could meet some handsome guys at the party.

He Cai placed a stack of pink, numbered envelopes on Bai Yao’s desk. “Yao Yao, these are the love letters left in your drawer today. Since your drawer couldn’t fit them all, I put a few in mine. Judging from the handwriting, attached photos, and the embedded diamonds on the envelopes, I think numbers 1 through 4 are worth opening.”

Bai Yao had a fixed seat in class, and her schedule had long been leaked by her classmates. So almost every day, her drawer would be stuffed with boys’ confession letters.

Regardless of her personality, she was undeniably rich and beautiful. If someone could land a girl like her, a rich and stunning socialite, they wouldn’t even need to work hard after graduation. Honestly, a top-tier beauty with wealth like her would never lack men willing to marry into her family.

Bai Yao pulled out a limited-edition lipstick and said emotionally, “Cai Cai, it must be so tiring for you to sort through so many letters for me every day. You’re truly my good sister.”

He Cai was also touched. She accepted the lipstick and said with emotion, “It’s my honor to do things for Yao Yao. We’re good sisters, after all! You don’t need to thank me!”

But Bai Yao glanced at her nails the next moment, wondering when she should go get a manicure, and said casually, “But you don’t need to show me those letters anymore. I’m not interested.”

He Cai was puzzled. “Why?”

Bai Yao used to read those letters—only the ones with neat handwriting, diamond decorations, and photos of handsome boys. According to her, she wanted to see if her destined boyfriend was among them. If he truly was the one, then he must be the best among all the boys.

But none had satisfied her so far. Now she suddenly said she didn’t want to read them anymore, which struck He Cai as very odd.

Bai Yao said with a cheerful smile, “Because I have a boyfriend now.”

He Cai was stunned. “You have a boyfriend?”

Bai Yao covered her face and said sweetly, “Yep, we made it official just last night.”

He Cai had never heard Bai Yao mention anyone she cared about before, so she quickly asked with curiosity, “Who is your boyfriend?”

“He’s a graduate student from our school. He loves sports, often plays basketball, is really handsome, and tall.”

He Cai asked, “Is he a rich young master from some wealthy family?”

Bai Yao glanced at He Cai. “You talk about money all the time. Aren’t you being shallow? My boyfriend comes from an ordinary family, but he’s very ambitious. As soon as he graduated, he got a job as a journalist. Outside of work, he exercises regularly and lives a healthy lifestyle. He has no bad habits. He’s simply the best man in the world!”

He Cai said, “I can’t believe you fell for such a regular salaryman!”

Bai Yao straightened up, snatched the lipstick back from He Cai’s hand, and said with a smile, “Stay away from me. I’m cutting ties with you.”

He Cai said, “Wait, Yao Yao, aren’t we good sisters?”

But He Cai was soon pushed aside by others, and another girl quickly took the seat next to Bai Yao, continuing to flatter her, praising her boyfriend as unparalleled and perfect.

Bai Yao asked, “If my boyfriend is so perfect and one-of-a-kind, how am I even dating him?”

The girl responded quickly, “That’s because Yao Yao is a fairy!”

Bai Yao happily stuffed the lipstick into the girl’s hand. “You really are my good sister!”

He Cai ground her teeth in frustration. She glanced at the bootlicking girls and muttered to herself, “Just a bunch of little b*tches. I’ll make my comeback sooner or later!”

Bai Yao only had classes in the morning. As she stepped out of the academic building holding a parasol, she saw a young man taking photos on the sunlit terrace.

His fluffy, soft orange hair stood out strikingly under the sunlight.

As if sensing a gaze filled with admiration, he turned around with his camera and, with a click, captured the image of a pretty girl in a pink dress. Lowering the camera, he smiled, brighter than the sun. “Yao Yao, what a coincidence.”

Bai Yao ran over in surprise, her eyes curved into happy crescents, unable to hide her excitement. “Lu Sheng, how come you’re here?”

Lu Sheng took off the headset on his head, looked down at her with a smile, and said, “The newspaper is running a feature on universities lately. I’m here to gather materials.”

Bai Yao could almost feel the surge of hormones rushing toward her. Her heart pounded, and she raised her parasol a little higher, shading the sunlight from his head.

Lu Sheng met her joyful gaze, stepped a little closer, bent slightly, and took out a piece of chocolate from his pocket. “Want some?”

Bai Yao saw that it was her favorite brand. She had just finished all the chocolates she bought at the supermarket a couple of days ago. She nodded happily. “Yes!”

Lu Sheng unwrapped the chocolate and held it to her mouth. She bit into it in one go, her smiling eyes full of happiness.

He couldn’t resist patting her on the head. “Want to grab a bite to eat together?”

With her mouth full, Bai Yao mumbled, “Sure!”

Some classmates passing by saw Bai Yao interacting so intimately with a guy for the first time and immediately began to speculate.

He Cai was walking with other students. She looked at the orange-haired young man and asked uncertainly, “Yao Yao, is this… your friend?”

Bai Yao hugged Lu Sheng’s arm and said proudly, “My boyfriend.”

Lu Sheng took the parasol from Bai Yao’s hand and held it above her head. His eyes crinkled with a bright and cheerful smile. “Hello everyone, I’m Lu Sheng.”
