22: Do You Think You Can Just Open the Master’s Door?
Fu Nancheng frowned as he was suddenly pounced on. He turned his head toward the door, and Su Ci’s small face, marked with a long scar, came into view.
She stood by the door, clearly not expecting to see him and Su Xue on the bed together. She froze for a moment.
Fu Nancheng’s mood worsened. His thin lips parted, spitting out icy, chilling words, “Did no one teach you the rules of being a maid? Do you think you can just open the master’s door whenever you please? Get out!”
Su Ci turned and ran.
Su Xue couldn’t help but smirk. Serves her right! That little bitch deserved to be scolded for daring to seduce her husband!
But before her smile could fully bloom, a fierce force suddenly struck her. Fu Nancheng reached out and shoved her off the bed.
Thud.
Su Xue landed heavily on the carpet.
“……”
Just moments ago, she had been laughing at Su Ci’s misfortune, but now she had become the joke herself.
Fu Nancheng got out of bed and looked down at her coldly. “From now on, don’t touch me unless it’s nighttime. If there’s a next time, you won’t be keeping your hands.”
With that, he strode into the bathroom to shower, determined to scrub away every trace of Su Xue’s touch.
……
Humiliated, Su Xue left the room. She had thought she could take the opportunity to sleep with Fu Nancheng, but he had rejected her so harshly.
He only liked the “Su Xue” of the night—Su Ci.
Su Xue approached Su Ci and deliberately taunted her, “Su Ci, you got yelled at. Now you should understand the reality—my husband only sees you as me.”
“Do you know why he was so angry just now? Because you interrupted us. If you hadn’t said I was on my period last night, he and I would’ve already—”
Her words grew increasingly suggestive. Su Ci remained expressionless. So, Su Xue had told her to come in ten minutes just to make her witness the intimate moment between the married couple.
That single word—“Get out!”—was filled with nothing but disgust for her.
Last night had truly been just a dream.
And he didn’t even know it was her in that dream.
She was the only one who remembered.
Just then, the front door opened, and a familiar voice rang out, “Uncle, are you up yet?”
Fu Jue had arrived.
Su Xue stepped forward. “Young Master Fu, what brings you here?”
Fu Jue’s eyes lit up. “Little Ugly, you’re here too? Wait—where’s the scar on your face? You’re not disguising yourself today?”
Su Ci immediately realized Fu Jue had mistaken Su Xue for her—after all, their faces were identical.
She wanted to speak up, but then a deep voice came from upstairs. “What disguise? Fu Jue, what are you talking about?”
Su Ci’s heart dropped. Oh no. Fu Nancheng had heard!
Only then did Fu Jue notice Su Ci. He glanced between her and Su Xue—who looked exactly like her. Wait, is this my aunt? Why does she look just like Su Ci?
Fu Jue was utterly confused.
Fu Nancheng descended the stairs with powerful, steady strides. He stared at Fu Jue. “Why did you mistake them just now? Does Su Ci’s face look like Su Xue’s?”
“I—”
Fu Nancheng’s gaze shifted to Su Ci. His deep, narrow eyes slowly narrowed further. Why hadn’t he noticed before? The unscarred left side of Su Ci’s face bore a striking resemblance to Su Xue’s.
If he covered the scar on her right cheek, then she would—
Fu Nancheng commanded coldly, “Come here.”
Su Ci’s mind screamed with alarm. He must have realized something!
Was everything about to unravel today?
